Trees, a canopy
Of gold and green above me
Wonder of the woods
Another beautiful day :)

Falls

She runs downhill
With the wind at her back.
She has wings on her feet
Smoke trails from the back
But she trips on a lace
And falls to the ground
Flat on her face
With a cracking sound
And tears spring to her eyes
And the lip starts to shake
Taken by surprise
Did anything break?
Invincible no more
With blood galore
But an angel wraps her wings around her
And she feels eternal love surround her
Nothing deep here - just a poem about comforting my daughter after she fell. I don't see myself as an angel but she does :)

He cups his hands
Beneath her face
The better to catch her tears.
He gathers her grief
Sorrow and pain
Along with all her fears.
He turns them into
A crystal dove
And then he sets it free.
She knows then that
This must be love,
The best that there can be

Let us write our stories
So that when the sands of our time
Get swept into the eternal sea
We shall remain in the hearts of men

There's too much beige in the world.
Let me write you a rainbow

You mistook
My past for my present.
It's a never ending game
With ever changing rules.
Don't mistake my presence
As a symbol of acquiescence.
I will not play the fool
'Friends' should never judge

You interrupted my dreams
To bring an even sweeter reality
He thought her a protagonist
she couldn't live up to his glory be,
  utter weariness of malcontent &
     disdain's ennui kept her
blood vines of once thriving
    poetic wildflowers depleted in
spaces between the tarnished lines,
aptly blurred in the vastitude of gray
       skies' darkly reproached reality
