The sun sprung from blackest clouds
tears and stars were raining, little meteors
red before the dawn
I seek to sing asleep
troubles, phantoms deep
my sleepy ghosts still awake
have stayed much too late

She couldn't read
Her tales were the greatest
She couldn't write
Her words were written in our hearts
She didn't go to school
Her teachings made us human
She never traveled
Her journey of life motivated us
She didn't know Martha Stewart
She kept the house in superb condition
She never watched Rachel Ray
Her cooking was FIVE STAR
She didn't need a degree
She sent us to university
She stayed at home
She told us to venture and have careers...
She didn't need alarm clock
She was our wake up call
Go to school time, brushing teeth time, prayer time, reading Quran time, breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner, bed time, all the time....
Mom never failed to be with us....
Even today still ...
she is always in the best place in our hearts...

A prayer to my mom Hajjah Hasiah binti Majid... Rest in peace...

I have a bleeding heart
I have shed blood tears
What am I doing here still at night?
Why am I rambling this love rhapsody?
If not to tell the world
the love I have for you
is real... so real...

I hope to see him again some day
Like I saw him in times before
Resting under vivid sunsets
When Michael knew nothing of war
I pray I will always remember
The love I lost too soon
Forever, as if he never left
And still basked in the glow of the moon
So before this season has faded
Before dark waters reach the shore
I hope to rest under the red sun's rays
Like Michael will rest no more

My brain's a victim of my heart’s beating
It’s the only way that I can reason
Being blinded by all this red I’m seeing
It must be soul hunting season
My survival instincts go crazy
My pulse quickens its erratic pace
The howling wind blows ever more strangely
However the blood falling from my face
Makes my outlook kind of hazy
I'll never see the end of this chase
Many demons now plague me
