I watch her.

I watch her,
as the night drapes over her window,
as the stars tangle in her hair,

I watch her,
as the chiseled imperfection
of the moon stirs her inky musings,

I watch her ,
in the uncertain glow of the dying candle,
in the torrent of tattered thoughts,

I watch her,
watching me through the silver-smeared glass,
through the pits of colourless brown,

                                      I watch her as
                                               she slowly traces the silence,
                                                                   silencing the traces of him.

When love dies,
It is not always hatred that takes its place,
Sometimes it is nothingness and void showing their ugly face.

When bravery dies,
It is not always cowardice blowing its horn,
Sometimes acceptance of the fear is born.

When kindness you used to receive dies,
It is not always that cruelty looks promising and grand,
Sometimes self protection and love come forward to hold your hand.

But when humanity dies,
It is always melancholy and destruction making their way,
No good or constructive feeling ever gets a say.
Be kind. Be human. Love everyone. Smile more often.. Count your blessings.

~We all live through breath and time,
Through movement and mistake, though
Our world is often blind. We try and find
our voice, but the great chasm that is
Silence is infinitely demanding. If only
We realised that time never stills, that it
Waits not for one,

That we are all just beings of nerve and arduous love,
Sometimes we are vulnerable: stripped away and weary-eyed,
Sometimes we are coiled in ash and basalt, as if we are skies
And through us pass comets of smouldering
Inadequacy and vagabond dreams, meandering
discontent and grief unstitched at seams,

And when time loosens its grasp, we fade a little; for
Memory crawls toward a life more simple, it
Drowns itself in a Spirit that hovers continual
Over the death of time, omnipotent and glorious;

For we are all precariously floating on the
Brink of life's unfurling void, constantly inching
Closer to our own shadows, all too absent,
too unaware of our own fragility...
