It shows the need of love.
come lay beside me
let my fingers caress your sorrows
working through deep creases
releasing all stress your breath carries
massaging tense shoulders
and unspoken hurt buried in your chest
pulling pain from silent reservoirs
of former loneliness

I am here with you now
there is no sadness
my laying of hands can't resolve
in love there is only purity
a bliss found in eternal connection
let me tenderly kiss
all that delays your thoughts
from slumber

together, we
conquer fear as my fingers
work the tendons
making them pliable again
cupping hands to your heart
feeding you warmth and beauty
to quell midnight aches

come to me, whisper
your concerns
you never need carry
them alone again
for love conquers doubts
sending a tsunami
of tenderness
wave upon wave
to flood your soul
forย ย in love
we are made whole
Before:
You blow on a birthday cake Hard, singing"HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Then everybody gets to eat a piece of cake.
Now:
No no no no! I would think twice........

I.

This, a final offering,
before the clipping of wings.
A love like blood,
oh anathema.
A grey declined to black,
oh herem.

It means salvation
knelt with darkness.

II.

So it be!
So it be!
So it be!

Ring the bell,
close the book,
blow out the candle.

Douse the sacred sun
and find belief caught in fishermen's nets.

III.

In silence of angels,
climbing broken ladders,
no ascent, no longer.

Salvation has
knelt with darkness.

I put my right foot in and then my left
the soles of my feet match the soles of the shoes
the shiny bright shoes have a mind of its own
I'm not sure where the shoes will take me
but I'm excited to see
to see whats unexplored of what's left in the world
maybe I will see a beautiful unicorn with luscious long silver hair
or maybe I will smell fields of tulips emerging from the rich soil
maybe my shoes will take an island where people laugh all day and sleep all night
maybe I will dance with the bees
or play with the monkeys
or maybe I will see dragons soaring in the winds talking to the birds
I'm not sure where my shoes will take me
but I can't wait to see where my shoes take me
four jobs in two months

and it wasn't even his
fault. He just
left because they didn't pay him

"Nobody works for
free," he said as he closed the
fridge, the
last can of beer in his hand,
not too cold

"Hey, leave some for me," his
girlfriend said

He threw himself on the couch,
careful to avoid
the spot where
springs poked their rusty
silver heads out

He opened the beer. "I keep
tellin' you I should
just open
my own business."

"Um-hm."

"No really, you know what this
town has in abundance?" He
took a sip

"Poverty?" she said, already stretching
her hand for the can

He handed her the can. "Yeah, poverty.
And poverty means homeless men.
Men nobody gives a **** about. Hell,
everyone wants them to
vanish. I was thinking,
maybe I can cash in on that. I could hunt
them down at night and
use their meat in a fast-food restaurant. It can
pass as pork. Everything passes in
this town.
What do you think?"

She took another sip. Handed
the can back to him. "Yeah. I know
where you can
begin, by the way. Tonight I'll show
you the alley my dad
and uncle sleep in."

He raised the can. "Cheers."

Iโ€™d prefer to be a star.
Lonesome in the enormity of the night sky.
At least Iโ€™d know that somewhere, at sometime, someone will always be appreciating me.
