If love could save her,
He was the cure.
He never left her side;
She never spoke a word.
He just sat there waiting,
Always holding her hand.
It seemed his love alone
Had delayed her end.

But she passed on a Sunday
As the leaves took their fall,
To wilt with the flowers
When the reaper called.
Though he had stayed
And made the bedside his home,
She passed as he slept,
At night and alone.

There were cards and kind words
From those who loved and had cared.
And sympathetic smiles
From those who thought pain was shared.
But the pain of her passing
Was a hell all its own.
So he mourned in seclusion,
He mourned all alone.

He cursed God, he cursed cancer,
He even cursed his own name.
He cursed his tears that flowed through,
He cursed all he could blame.
He cursed the framed reminders,
He cursed his empty heart.
He cursed the impassable barrier
That kept them apart.

It took him months to rebuild,
To create a new life.
A much darker existence
That had stolen his wife.
But eventually he smiled,
Even though it was plain
That the hurt in his eyes
Showed he'd not love again.

Although he was lost
From the moment she died,
He'd not trade the world
For the days spent beside.
If you ask that man now
Would he do it again,
He would live through it all
To just hold her hand.

These are words from a man,
Broken and emptied.
I write these words,
And that man is me.
This is my story,
And she was my wife.
I had to lose her
To know she was my life.

How far do you want to push this,
How far do you need to act like this to show him you don’t care,
How far are you gonna make him feel bad,
Far enough to where he ends it,
He leaves you forever,
Not turning around,
Never saying good bye,
Just a lonely life ahead of you,
How far do you have to pick on someone before we all lose them?
Why would you do that?
How come we just can’t get along with each other?
Why can’t we be friends?
Why does that one person deserve all the pain you put them through,
The words you say to them stick in there heads forever,
Never leave them,
Even after they leave us,
They might not show you that it hurts,
But they do hurt,
We are all people and we have feelings,
So why don’t we stop this,
Before we find out how far,
How far is.

I wrote this in the days after a friend of mines suicide. He was harassed, threatened, and bullied for being gay.

A silence with you
Is not
a silence

But a moment rich
with peace

I feel like two people in one,
Either complete control or none.
Passive agressive.
Wildchild, on top of the world,
Too numb to care or worry. But happy.
Unhappy?
Doing well, but
The restraint of patience burning at my insides.
Caring too much or too little?
Thinking too much.
I never know.
Right feels wrong,
But wrong feels wrong too.
Young but too old,
Still too old to feel so young.
A ticking bomb.

We are a liars, because
the truth of yesterday becomes a lie tomorrow,
whereas letters are fixed,
and we live by the letter of truth.
The love I feel for my friend, this year,
is different from the love I felt last year.
If it were not so, it would be a lie.
Yet we reiterate love! love! love!
as if it were a coin with a fixed value
instead of a flower that dies, and opens a different bud.

Quiet yells are heard in the night,
but screams will fill the day.
It is those taken in the light,
who put up the bigger fight.
So in the dark the faint cries stay.
If it's good for you
Stab me with a text
Shoot me with  a call
Invade my life whenever it suits you.

If it's good for you
Walk in, and out of my life
Trample my heart
Crush out my hope like the **** of a cigarette.

If it's good for you
Abandon me again
Please, just leave me here
I'm so tired of waiting for you.

If it's good for you
Leave me hopeless
Broken
Bleeding.

If it's good for you
Steal like a thief in the moonlight
Enter with impending doom
Exit with my heart.

If it's good for you
Stay away from me, leave my life
Take a fast sports car to hell
And don't you ever look back.

i may not be strong
but every ounce of strength i have
i will use to hold you
as tightly as i can.

i may not be tall,
but i will take you higher than you have ever been
where there is no color, race, fear, or pain
and all is filled with beauty, love, and hope.

i may not have money,
but i am rich in love, and happiness, and soul
and i will share everything i have with you
each second i am by your side.

i may not have been whole,
but that was only because
i did not have my souls twin to complete me,
i had not yet found myself in you.
