Dip Sea
nick armbrister May 2019
A little brown dog called Dip Sea
Named after a simple peso snack
But many things occur in the real deep sea
Strange sea monsters freely roam the depths
Shipwrecks forever remain with their trapped crews
Lost aircraft look factory fresh but will never fly again
Unseen mountains as high as Mt Everest invisibly reach up
Unidentified alien craft speedily explore miles below the surface
Scuba divers practise their skills safely diving for an hour
Several large ships dump illegal waste into the ocean depths
Sea life like whales and dolphins intelligently live and play
Lost continents hint at ancient races of people now drowned out
Land based planners plan deep water towns and cities
All this and more takes place in the great ocean depths
Remembered in a small brown dog called Dip Sea

Things are wrong when there are more tigers kept as pets
Than living in the wild in their natural habitats
Human greed kills them off till they're extinct
Chinese herbal medicine using the tiger for alleged medicine
Hunters paying a million dollars to shoot one dead on a fake hunt
One of the most majestic animals ever to exist almost extinct
Fact and photos captured in history books and photographs
When they're gone they can never ever be recreated
That is only for script writers and authors in their stories...

High Up
nick armbrister May 2019
read top to bottom 1st line letters

High up where the ground meets the sky
Is a place that is so wonderful and serene!
Life fell to Earth bringing such scenery
Lovely like you would never know
This hilltop is the only place to be
Or would you rather be in the polluted city?
Percolating fumes slowly suffocating you

Plane flies miles high above us
Energy pushes it into manoeuvres
Nothing stationery about it
I see it turn, roll and zoom about
Stunning display of aerial prowess
I wish I was a pilot and flew like that
Not working in a stuffy boring job
The two percent get to fly in a jet
How they are the best of the best
Expensively trained Air Force pilots
Show boating in their F-18 fighter
Knowing they will soon be in trouble
Yes, they drew a huge airborne *****!

Family Rules
nick armbrister May 2019
I always needed something to rebel against
From my school peers who I ******* hated
To my overly dominant mother who was the boss

And the neighbours who were stuffy ******
The controlling school rules I loathed so much

I was always had to rebel against something
It was me against the world and still is?
What amazes me is I made it thru

Physically in one piece but inside...
There was a little bit of chop along the way

But I escaped the crap of life
That ensnared many of my fellow teens
Was this because certain family rules ruled me?

old poem from the 90s

Sitting patiently atop his tree camouflaged
against the enemy, the ****** waits.
For three days and three nights he has waited
to do his duty for Imperial Japan.
Along the trail walks the enemy. Alert and ready
but not looking up, for this is where the ****** is,
waiting, watching, ready right now.
Levelling his gun, he takes careful aim.
The Aussies swim into focus in his x10 telescopic sights.
Soon it is over as two fall dead, their comrades fleeing
as the Nippon terror strikes,
for he is the ******, amongst Japan’s best,
taking his war to the enemy.

small little songs

music got me thru my darkest days
bands who i still adore even now
coz this is a rock n roll love

their songs became the soundtrack
to my life in the bad, mad and sad times
doing what i did and living life

getting the wrong girls pregnant
street racing cars and crashing them
fighting opponents i could never defeat

being at war with everything in life
drinking and drinking like it was forever
i went to the gigs and bought the t-shirts

all about eve, voice of the beehive, the bangles,
def leppard, guns n roses, metallica,
the mission, the cult, suzanne vega,

tanita tikaram, del amitri, aztec camera,
alisha’s attic, sunscreem and a thousand more
they are the reason i’m alive today...

High Ground Joy
nick armbrister May 2019
I will escape to the hills and mountains when I can
My escape every Sunday if I could do so
I’d do this forever if I was immortal
Spending my time on the high ground
Climbing the hills and looking into the valleys
Slowly venturing into caves and the abyss
Collecting rocks and minerals from the ground
Finding old lost aeroplane crashes and their stories
Swimming in cool clear mountain pools
It simply cannot be better than this
If it was possible I’d climb every mountain
On every planet in the ******* galaxy
If only it was possible...

King of the block who nobody ****** with

And lopped off ***** front and back
He gave neighbourhood defence a new meaning
His sword provided safety to all his buddies

The Zeppelin Menace
nick armbrister May 2019
The silver gray monolith floated on the air getting its bearings
After an hour they located their position
Then they started their engines and climbed higher
Big diesel engines taking the Zeppelin higher
Out of range of ground guns and flimsy British planes
Which were slow and antiquated death traps
They found their target and bombed at will
Killing innocent English civilians in their beds at night
The victims in a new chapter of warfare
Death from the night sky utterly without warning
The English had nothing like this
No terror bomber weapon to strike at night
Hitting the enemy at will with high explosives
Raid after raid got through month after month
But Britain endured and absorbed the blows
Science provided the answer to halt the menace
New aeroplanes were made with high performance
Being fast high climbers to catch the Zeps
Then bringing their guns and small bombs to bear
New tracer and incendiary bullets ignited the gas
The six hundred foot airships burnt like candles
Incinerating their crews alive for they had no ‘chutes
England was now safe from the marauding Germans
At least till the bombing planes came
Then the game started all over again...

It all takes place on the mountains where the yellow sun
Meets the sky blue sky in a joining of colour without cliche
The trees look airbrushed on a canvas stolen from water colour
That sky hints and hides so many things both visible and not
Moonshine stills secretly simmer under the generous leafy canopy
A broken-into-pieces warplane sits by the ridge right at the top
Inside a small cave little people party and count their gold
Human hikers brave the heights and risks to hike for a day or two
Wild animals like wolf and bear live without fear up here

All we are saying is give life a chance
The joy of natural life born without medical drugs
The chance of real life on the earth without meddling
The chance of extending your lineage without redemption
The chance of existence and prosperity without threat of war
The chance of animal life thriving without becoming extinct
The chance of human progress into space for peaceful purposes
The chance of healing the world without exhausting her natural resources
The chance of first alien contact without either side genocide
The chance of anything positive happening without negative events
Is the same as the chance of Elvis being alive or winning the lottery
Only believed by fools wearing tin foil hats and the incompetent sheep
There is no happy ending to the mess this we created...

Manchester Bomber Wreck
nick armbrister Apr 2019
Is this actually possible? Considering so few pf the planes were built... i dunno...

Manchester Bomber Wreck

Manchester bomber rotting away

Different than it was before

Holes in the surface skin

Many pieces missing

Broken in two

Separated by many feet

Engines fallen free

Skeletons of the crew inside

Unknown war grave except to them

Who haunt their lost bomber

Lying under the sea bed

To them they’re still flying

In the sky above enemy territory

Fighting for their lives

With a faulty engine

Not actually on fire

Then the flak hit them

Damaging the tail unit

Followed by an enemy fighter

Who shoots them full of holes

And kills the Flight Engineer

Hitting him with a 20mm cannon shell

But not before the gunners

Down the **** night fighter

The crippled bomber flies on

Slowly losing height

They’ll never reach the target

Nor return home to England

So drop their bombs on a small town

Unknowingly killing dozens

Four tons of bombs will do that

The Manchester bomber wasn’t fired on again

Losing height was the enemy

They decided what to do and drew lots

Bail out or ditch in the sea?

They decided to ditch

It was almost dawn

And the horizon lit up

They should of made it

But the faulty engine finally died

The bomber stalled and dug a wing in

It cartwheeled over the sea

Broke in two and sank

All aboard were knocked out

And taken to a watery grave

Unknown to the world except themselves

The only remaining Manchester bomber
Is this actually possible? Considering so few pf the planes were built... i dunno...

Era's Icon

Era's Icon
The man had a certain look
He worked in films
Doing hundreds of roles

Never making it big
Till he was seen
Eating a meal in the canteen

'I can do wonders with your face...'
The words of the guide
Who set in motion events

Something more than special
Creating the icon of the era
The Stein was brought to life

Becoming more than a B-Movie
Or image in words
Lifted from the page

Boris Karloff became the best
Nobody had those looks
Or presence on screen

Or a hundred other attributes
The icon on which others were judged
Now remembered in film

In art and tattoos
The best of the best...
...Frankenstein

It all started with a meal
And those words:
'I can do wonders with your face...'

Alien Crash and Burn

Alien Crash and Burn
The words came to the girl one after the other
She described what had happened to her
She was in the field with her sister
Then a huge noise, a bright white light and silence
Along with a feeling of weightlessness

She awoke much later
But how long?
It felt like she'd been napping
But in reality it was centuries of her time
She went thru step by step

It was a tall story but her listeners listened
They asked for evidence other than words
She said read her mind
They did so and knew her inside

They asked do you have any item?
She nodded and showed them a rock
It looked like any other rock
That was her evidence
Its chemical matrix was off world
From somewhere else

It wasn't a meteor or from Mars
Her questioners became convinced
They showed her a star chart
It was a big one for a vast universe

The scientists wanted the technology
They planned to find her secrets
And put together a mission
She would be made to lead it
The aliens would find out
Just what humans were really like

And have seen so many things
Like great upheavals
And fossils laid down
Uplifted from the ocean bed
Three miles high
Along with minerals and wealth
Adding to economic growth
Natural recourses in danger
Human greed burning bright
What existed for millions
Now reduced in decades
Some are out of reach
For now till tech improves
Mountains will crumble
Quarries devouring hills
Old rocks petering out

Drug Sub War
The drug sub became the new menace
Replacing the Toyota engined powerboats
And outdated drug running planes that got splashed
Sleek, able to travel underwater
More than the semi-submersible craft
Using a snorkel like **** U-Boats did
A group of foreign designers made them
Contracted by the drug cartels
To make an almost undetectable vehicle
Costing millions fitted with both low and high tech gear
Like GPS, night and day camera periscope and more
Able to dive at will hundreds of feet below
Remaining silent under battery power
But they didn't realize how persistent the US Navy was
Who specialized in hunting subs and now had a new opponent
Not Red China or Neo Soviet enemy subs hunting American carriers
It was Narco Subs from Central and South America
Each one carrying between one and eight tons of drugs
Pure Class A narcotics to **** North American youth
The US Navy used P-3 Orions, P-8 Poseidens and anti-sub choppers
To find the stealthy subs and take the appropriate measures
Calling destroyers and frigates who chased the subs down
Forcing them to surface with small depth charges
When drug sub crews fought back with machine guns
The navy sank them with all available weapons
For this war war, a war of innocent versus guilty
On the ocean no law court was needed...

309 Pilot
The Messerschmitt Me-309 was a stunning warplane
Originally it had seven guns but the pilot removed some
The 13mm heavy machine guns were lethal but not needed
He freed up four hundred pounds in weight
This left just three cannons and their ammo
Two 20mm and a single 30mm gun
The 20mms were in the wing roots and 30mm in the nose
It was enough to **** enemy bombers like B-17s and Lancasters
And the following B-29s and Lincolns which bombed Germany endlessly
He got ready for a mission and was confident of more kills
He was keen and aggressive and had the right tool for the job

Germany's finest piston engined fighter of the war
With a modified engine boosted for power
Nothing but an enemy jet was faster but very short ranged
With a smile he walked to his plane

Following you to the store
And saying Hi then turning to go
Hoping you follow him
Then give him kindness

Wondering why he lives this way
Sleeping in the bin his home
Very cosy if he ay say so
His dustbin down the alleyway
Where nobody will bug him
An ideal example of humanity
Living with a smile in his head
And setting the example
To always smile :)

The attack came with the ferocity of war
War like only we can know
For we knew this moment was coming
But we didn’t think it would be so
Bad in the way that death is final
And all knowing that life ceases
When enemy explosive discharges on our positions
All we can do is to wait it out and endure
Those who survive must be ready to resist
Throw our enemy back from whence he came
But killing him is more preferable to that
For he will return in twenty years like he has done now
We will bear his bombardment and emerge
Then we will defeat him and smash his army and weapons
And savage his homeland as he does ours and we will win
Once the shells stop we will rally those who remain
And we will charge his guns so Victory is ours

Brothers in War
Why did the two brothers fight one another?
In opposing armies on the same battlefield
Because one was Latvian and the other Russian
Both had the same father but different mothers
The Latvian one welcomed the Nazis when they came
For he was fascist and hated communists
He collaborated and was happy for a few short years
Till fortunes of war made the Soviets come
The Nazis left after battling the new Soviet occupiers
The Latvian bro knew what would happen so was ready
He fought the Soviet invaders with his Mauser rifle
Killing many but eventually being cornered in a village
There were informers about and the Soviets knew
With no escape he vowed to never surrender
The Russians sent his Russian brother to **** him
There was no negotiation for he was a collaborator
His bro tried to flush him out with machine gun fire
And then with accurate rifle shots hoping for a headshot
The Latvian bro had two shots left including one for him
When his chance was there he took it and fired
The Russian bro was a loyal communist and wanted promotion
But he slipped up in his zeal and got nailed by his bro
Who then blew his own ******* head off with his big toe
Thus died two brothers on opposing sides and ideologies
Now forgotten by all except the ghosts

I have no liking for politicians
It doesn’t matter what they represent
Or believe in or stand for
I don’t care if they’re the Right or Left
Or in the ****** Middle
Or up high or so **** low
That you can’t trust them

They are all the same
From the smug smiles of Putin and Trump
To the elitism of top Tory’s like Cameron and May
There are the spineless Labour saps
Like Corbyn a Red terror supporting anti nuke coward
None of them are fit to lead any nation
Each supports his own selfish interests
Closely followed by their party
I’d rather take to the hills or woods
And live alone amongst nature
Or with a trusted ‘group’ allied to no one

There are totalitarian autocratic dictators
And democratically elected leaders
All can lie and behave like the best
For they are the best
The best at lying killing
And saying whatever they like

Some people believe them
They silence their enemies and opponents
By a variety of means
This is the politician
All are the same

It happens in the bad light
When people can’t see well

But the criminal can
He loves the dusk and bad weather
Coming into his element

Robbing your house of its valuables
Slitting your brother’s throat
Slicing your car tires

Burning up your cat
Planting terror bombs
Hacking the power grid

It all happens when the light fades
Beware normal law abiding people
Law will not protect you

Nor the cops or military
Arm yourself and train
Stop the crims before they strike
Or you’re *******

For even if you have nothing
They will take your life
And spit on your corpse

Open Valley
The valley is a special place for me
It opens out into a wide plain below me
Following miles of winding steep mountains
Great to hike but so very perilous
The beauty worth the hazard of death or bad feet
Those who dare go here know the price that beauty asks

And accept it easily

Only a few score a year go all the way
Down the full length of the valley
From the precipitous highlands
Right down the mountain chain
To the chilled out lowlands

An immeasurable distance

But some ask how far it stretches?
I would tell you but then again
Go find out for yourself and tell me
Was the beauty your find there?
Worth the answer you find?
This valley is only one of many

But something ethereal makes it special

I could list the prominent features
Or show you photos and videos
They are cool but single dimensional
You must go there and risk it
Small little you and the big infinite valley
Risk the awesomeness of Mother Nature
To see one of her hidden prizes

Even if you die it’s worth it...

Soviets are like mosquitoes
Always there in the environment
There’s no escape from them
They get in your head

So they rule you remorsessly
By power of paranoia
A bite is a bullet
An infection is a bomb

A disease is a nuclear blast
Mosquitoes are Russians
Russians are mosquitoes
Waiting to be eradicated

By a superior power
Always ready for war
Endless circle of deceit
Mosquito flight round you

Looking for an opening
To attack you
While you sleep
The Russian way

Keep you off guard
Then get you
But not if we strike
And drain their pond

Spray them with insecticide
So they never breed again
No more Novichok
Or nukes or bio weapons

Finally we are safe
Except from our own
******* PARANOIA!!!

We dug in the mud we used sticks
When we found bits of wreckage I was happy
When I heard the soldiers talk of ghosts I was in disbelief
When I realized I was here by fate I was fine
When I knew my Goddess guided me I was chilled
When my Hello Kitty tumbler fell I knew
When we knew this was the spot I cried
When we found a bit of bone I was elated
When I knew we had succeeded I was a girl
When I knew the big wigs had failed I smirked
When I hear it’s true what we found I’ll believe
When I hear that we found Lt Stone I’ll drink
When I drink in memory of Stone I’ll invite him
When I drink with Stone I’ll invite Kurosawa
When we all drink together we will all smile
And say how silly mad bad sad war is
But how cool aeroplanes are
Then we will all be fine
And laugh and enjoy our destiny
For we have all lived

We busted our *****
To get up there
Over a kilometre high
Where the warplanes live
And die a violent death

As did Lt Stone and Sgt Kurosawa

To the day we went there
As others before had
For we had a job to do

To locate the remains of a lost pilot
Named Stone from America
Who flew a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk
In mortal battle with his nemesis
Kurosawa from Japan
With his Nakajima Ki-27 Nate
Both died that day
February 9 1942
And both haunt those inclines
One is angry and lost
One found wants to go home
One likes Hello Kitty
But not the one you think
For my drink tumbler fell
And the guide missed it
It stopped where Stone said
And there we dug dugdug
And found his airplane
Or what was once his warplane
In pieces that were scrap
But had meaning to our group
For it was this plane
That brought us here
Many hours of climbing
Swearing and sweating
To touch the clouds
And be where both hit
At what cost?
Two planes smashed
Two pilots dead
The American protecting Villamor
The Philippines' best pilot
Who flew his biplane
A Boeing Stearman
On a recon mission
The same type that flies today
With **** English wing walkers
From Clark in Bataan
The same field Kurosawa flew from
Yes synchronicity is here
Eagle Has Landed style
What does this mean now?
In 2018 right now
Is it the pilots' ghosts
Or God or fate or karma
That brought me here
To Tarac Ridge to look
To try to find Stone's bones?
When so many have looked
And failed to find him
Did we really find Lt Stone?
So he's no longer MIA
And captive here
This beautiful mountain side
Where the sky and sea become one
Where Bataan and Corregidor
Are visible
The old battlefields
Where hell occurred
Where there are more MIAs
From both sides
Both pilots hunted here
And both became the prey
Paying the ultimate cost
Bent metal and broken bones
Telling a story
Their story
If you listen
You will hear it...

Layered Cake
I’ve known many unsavory characters from my home city of Manchester
There’s the ex-demolition guy who took a great dislike to me
Did he have visions of blowing me up instead of my old car?
He had a trainee apprentice in the wings and had connections

I knew several football hooligans who fought for what?
For England, their home team, themselves, for violence?
Each told me a story of Rah-Rah-Rah Here We Go Lads!
One fought riot cops in Poland and was jailed in a sanatorium
He somehow escaped and was banned from Poland for life
The other was a City fan and battled his opponents in Greece
He was 45 and still loved a good tear up on match days

Drug dealers prominently featured in the city and surrounding towns
One dark night in my home town I saw an ex-dealer shot dead
I heard then saw the BMW getaway car zoom off
Oddly I thought I heard two gunshots after it had gone
The ex-dealer’s wife asked me to help and I tried to
But there was nothing I could do but call the medics

Chavs are the worst in my town and others
Council House And Violent and ruling the tough estates
With their violence, crime, dealing and other acts
Not going to school or college but sleeping all day
And drinking and smoking **** all night with their underage gals
But when do they have time to do their crimes?

There are the plastic gangsters who think they’re it
Maybe with their mates they can burst a paper bag
Or intimidate innocent law abiding citizens who are meek

Further afield I met a gangster in Liverpool who was alrite
He liked a right tear up and had a job to appear legit
But his real work was in various things like drugs, guns and cash
He offered me a job as a courier because my car was old and gray
I said no for its easy in and never ever out

The English racists were a breed apart who hated all skins
I got on with one who liked metal but we clashed on views
He loathed foreigners and wanted them all out
And insisted that white men stick to white women

Most scary of all I met a killer on the run in Newcastle
We were on the ship disco by the river having fun
This guy had a real flirty wife called Carmen
I danced with her and later talked to her husband
He schitzed out and went mad but not for chatting with his gal
I asked what’s wrong and he admitted to killing a man
And said he didn’t know me from Adam so be quiet!
He was a Londoner and I said you did it for your own reasons
His wife consoled him when he had flashbacks

Ex-servicemen gave me a few problems over the years
I was drinking in my local pub when a para and a marine argued
First with one another and then with me over who was best
They hated the air force and me wearing an Air Force badge
Maybe they needed a war to get their heads blown off?

There were many fighters who lived to fight and cause trouble
Some had a go at me I tried to avoid their skills but heard their stories
Some were nutters but others quite pally and fine lads
There were brawlers, boxers, Martial Artists and more
Near the Mess House pub in Oldham guys die by a single punch

These savory and unsavory characters were the fabric of England
Some I remember and many I forget for right or wrong reasons
Their stories live on here my poem for you to judge

One Hundred Years
The war to end all wars ended exactly one hundred years ago
That war failed in its objective of making war and bloodletting obsolete
Just like the bow and arrow is now outdated war was meant to be
The renderings of battle and conflict consigned to the history books
When children ask their parents: WHAT WAS WAR?

The answer should have started thus: Well child...
But that scenario never happened because war is still with us
The old soldiers never grew old and their memory lives on
As their great grandchildren prime their guns and prepare for battle
Places like the Somme, Ypres, Verdun. Paschendale and Flanders are here

Inside the souls of the Tommie, the Poilu, the *** and more
Poppies commemorating the sacrifice and everlasting memory
Worn with pride by people like myself and my kin and my friends and family
Yet in places like Afghan and Syria and Iraq and Ukraine men fight and die
Death and destruction still rule the battlefield by blast and bullet

Weapons have advanced like smart bombs, jet fighters and missiles
Being a millennia on from biplanes, barbed wire and horses
Each soldier and each fight is mirrored thru history by another
Wars and battles complement one another in their ferocity and aim
Enemies must be defeated and military objectives achieved

Only the year and location changes while the soldier’s names fade away
To become unknown soldiers in our collective hearts and minds
Passing over before their time and entering the history books
Some are a footnote, others in heroic battles and a few forsaken
Every generation since the Great War owes it to the past to make peace

And keep hold of that peace forever more and spike the guns and grenades
So our world knows peace and harmony in an eternal Peace Dividend
The Military Industrial Complex being used for something better
Future warriors being out of work and doing new jobs
Think of the past and that awful Great War and what we can do now

Turn our world around and remember the sacrifice and cost of Total industrial war
Let no more warriors die in no more wars except in books, games and films
Remember our great fallen warriors and be humbly grateful and act their deed
Universally advancing world peace and making war obsolete forever

**** Heap
Round and round they go on a merry go round
Chasing one another in high performance warplanes
Trying to blow one another's ******* heads off
Madness over Belgium World War 2 style
**** Messerschmitt 109 and Yankee P-47 Thunderbolt
Armed to the ******* teeth read for war and battle
Just waiting for a shot shoot **** die death!
Here we ******* go guns guns guns!
But he missed and so the dance continues
German and American going round like Devils
Each as good as the other and both expendable
In the high tech no mercy duel where violence rules
Shortly one or both fighter planes will be wrecks
Burning fiercely on the frozen ground
January 1 1945 New Year’s Day battle style
Did you have a good New Year's Eve party?
Your hangover will be the death of you
Making you a second too slow
Then the **** will nail you and claim a new ****
Adding to his list of Allied and Soviet pilots
For he fights not for ****** or the Nazis
But to survive as two dozen of his comrades die
Killed by American guns while hitting their base
This is war where there's no glory just death

He went by bus to see the football game. The bus was a Fiat just like his one off Fiat Panda2002. He sat there and read his book in the bar room. All the trophies were on display and the home team was there. He ignored them but they didn't him. Giving him a load of lads stuff. He observed them and joined them. It became confused. He was escaping his hometown. They tolerated him. He loved his car. He had to hide in the garden from the bus driver. Go by car! Then back in the football room he had a run in with the **** driver. It was later and confused. He hit the driver with his car bus tank machine to silence him or was it a biplane? Just be ******* quiet! Drive by Fiat Panda next time to see the Scots top teams. For I am cool and my dream rocks...

Letters in Wartime
Words on paper
Nothing more
Telling the story of a soldier
Or airman or sailor
Letters from the front
Sent home
To a sweetheart
Or family
First read by the censor
Telling of longing to see you
And hardship in battle
Seen thru with determination
And a love of country
Fighting for them
The loved ones
Far from where
He is stationed
Saying about his mates
Some who he misses
Killed in combat
Or worse still
Missing In Action
Maybe the Red Cross
Will locate them
All this told
By words on paper
Stay safe at home
I know the Blitz is hell
But we give it
Back to the ***
Avoid the talking
About sensitive things
For walls have ears
And aid the enemy
Follow the blackout
I send my love
And will write soon
Next time sending my photo
Till then my dear
Keep the fires burning
We protect our country
With untold valour
We will win
This awful war
Later my love

The manila envelope was full of ****. It stank so ******* much. There was too much of it. One example was this: a tattooed skate boarder was blown away after being severely beaten. He was full of lead. The stitched up bullet holes showed this. There were 6 or 7 in his upper body. It was amazing how the mortician cleaned him up. He looked asleep. And was, forever…

…part of the current mad presidents run in with criminals. These included druggies, robbers, gangsters and a whole lot more. But such things weren’t so simple. Many innocent people got caught up. Rather than admit a mistake, the cops had a way to deal with this. They planted fake evidence, be it drugs, guns or ammo. Along with fake accounts of the cops being fired upon. Of course this did happen, professional criminals had back up and weapons and made the security forces pay dearly, now and again. For the most part the Extra Judicial Killings were just that.

The dead man here was a musician. He thought he was going to sing but instead he was an EJK and blown away. It was a shame his friend was a known dealer and on the ‘List’ of known and wanted and targeted people. So he was collateral damage. This was fine in the eyes of the law, for a dealer had been exterminated. An innocent died, so be it…

…the innocent would no longer skate, be tattooed, drink beer, dance, or anything else. For he was dead. All part of the bad dream that was the Philippine drug war that killed thousands. All wars ended…

The dream the dream the dream! I write like Liz Hand. The dark underbelly of the city. Not just people dying. All of it. Every city has one. All are the same. The dark 3am beat. Put my poem in your book. My dream of it. An artist painting an artist painting an artist  painting an artist...

The big young potentially dangerous Russian stood in front of me. He thought what he had to say is important. He gave my soldier friend a note. Read it he said, it's says what they thinks about me. I nearly fight Ivan. He thinks I'm a banker and rich. I say Bro, I fly planes and write books. Dead it!, he tells my pal. My poem is about it because it's real.
