Let me take these impenetrable arms

And wrap them around you tonight;

I’ll protect you until it is all right.

Let me take these rough lips

And press them against yours, Honey,

So that you might smooth them out.

Don’t let me go off to war,

Without you in my heart.

Don’t let me fly away,

Without knowing your love for me.

-

I’m not just another pair of blue eyes,

and I sure as hell ain’t just another standardized guy.

Baby, when they send me to foreign lands,

Just don’t forget that I’m your man.

Look Forth to the East,
Where the Great City Mourns.
The Sun May Still Rise,
But the Towers No Longer Stand.
Yet,
       This City is Strong.
Resilient.
Its Inhabitants Know Not Fear.
No Longer Fear the Tragedy.
No Longer Allow Hate in Their Hearts.
But Also Never Forget,
Because THIS is All the Fallen Have Left.

Aim for the Future,
because the Past is the Past.
Let Our Children Grow Strong,
and May We Raise Them With Honor.
Shower this Nation With Love, O’ Lord.

Let Us Remain Hopeful,
Because Hope is What Allows Eternity to Exist.
God Bless this Nation.
God Bless My Flag.
God Bless the Fallen,
        Receive Them In Your Arms.
May We Find Love Eternal.
May We Live Forever.

I just want to hear those words,
            roll off your tongue,
     push through your lips,
and plant their roots in my heart.
I just want your hand,
to be tucked away in mine,
       while the world keeps spinning,
                  around us.
I just want your lips,
     to make contact with mine.
I just want,
I just want to,
I just want to know,
that You
                    Love Me.

The sudden, brief fall

Of the apple to the Earth

Leaves dear Isaac in

A state of understanding.

Yet, I’m left in a free-fall…

                                                because Gravity

                                                can’t pull me down

                                                when I’m with

                                                you, Babe.

Love Of My Life by Nate Munson
Choka

Let these words be the

First thing your sleepy eyes see

When the sun rises

Over the expanse of the

Horizon, where dreams

Become day-dreams, and the birds

Sing with wonderful

Splendor; the kind only found

In the proud souls of freed men.

Tanka

Where light meets darkness,

I’ll be waiting there for you,

Ready to embrace

You with Love as strong as lions.

You are the Love of my Life.

The first few rays of the sun,

greet me as I rise with the dawn.

I crawl out of bed

                    and put on my fatigues,

wishing I could get more sleep.

I look at you curled up

under the warm covers on the bed,

and wish last night had never come to an end.

Yet,

I have to leave you now,

                   alone under those covers.

I walk over to your side before I leave,

   and slowly,

                                             silently

plant a kiss on your cheek.

You barely crack open your eyes,

flash a sleepy smile up at me,

wrap your arms around my neck,

                and say “good morning, baby.”

I sit there,

      staring into your eyes,

wishing I could stay just five minutes more.

Finally I stand up,

               lean over

and give you one last kiss,

placing my lips next to your ear,

and softly whisper, “I love you, dear.”

You just smile,

   and look back at me,

saying “I love you too, baby.”

I walk to the door,

      give you one last smile,

and leave for the world outside of

                         our happy, little life.

As I go about my day,

not everything will go my way.

Some things will seem unbearable,

        while others extremely annoying.

Yet,

you’re the only thing on my mind,

and I’ll smile as I endure the stresses of

                         my happy, little life.

The weight of the world will bear down upon you

The burdens of your actions, and leave you with scars

That will last a lifetime.

Yet, deep within humanity lies the determination

To do what’s right and remain hopeful of tomorrow’s

Blessings, which we believe are as real as the pain we suffer through today.

Never fear the unknown, for it will never be as challenging

as those things you understand, but still remain fearful of.

Nothing is as terrible

as the things we continuously let restrain us from our full potential.

If You can accomplish one thing in your life,

it should be the daily courage of accepting the unknown future before you

without hesitation or regret for the decisions you will make.

Inaction is not a synonym for action,

and thus cannot be an acceptable answer for how one should Live their Life.
