She was strong
Strong as steel
She was so strong
But she could still feel

She was strong
And so was her call
But just as strong
Around her heart, were walls

The walls were strong
So, so strong.
To keep out boys who might do her wrong
But along came a boy
Who told her things that she never knew
And to her surprise, this boy stayed true.

And after a while, she saw he was still there
And yes she was strong
But it takes strength to care.

So she opened her door
And let him inside
He rebuilt her walls
So she didn't have to hide

He rebuilt the walls
And put windows in
So that the warm, warm sunshine could come flooding in.
Still waiting for a boy to rebuild my walls
I like for you to be still
It is as though you are absent
And you hear me from far away
And my voice does not touch you
It seems as though your eyes had flown away
And it seems that a kiss had sealed your mouth
As all things are filled with my soul
You emerge from the things
Filled with my soul
You are like my soul
A butterfly of dream
And you are like the word: Melancholy

I like for you to be still
And you seem far away
It sounds as though you are lamenting
A butterfly cooing like a dove
And you hear me from far away
And my voice does not reach you
Let me come to be still in your silence
And let me talk to you with your silence
That is bright as a lamp
Simple, as a ring
You are like the night
With its stillness and constellations
Your silence is that of a star
As remote and candid

I like for you to be still
It is as though you are absent
Distant and full of sorrow
So you would've died
One word then, One smile is enough
And I'm happy;
Happy that it's not true
The poor innocent civilians of Gaza are dying
I can hear the screams of their crying
I moan with the people of Gaza
This is a horrid monstrosity way of a massacre
I cannot just sit back and be a passenger
Their human rights are being snatched away from them
I thought we were against violence mayhem?
In Gaza peoples guts and gores are all around
doesn't it make you just want to shut down?
#free Gaza #Palestine #we are slowly approaching WW111  #created this poem a very long while ago just recently found it and thought I might just put it up. #Disclaimer I am just expressing what I am feeling and I do not want to get politics involved. #I am free to express what I feel. So please just don't bring politics into anything.
She had it all now its all gone
she thought she had no other option but she was wrong
The thoughts piled in her head she could not go back
she started to pressure her thoughts until she cracked

She thought she was a burden too difficult to bear
all she wanted to do was for it all to be adhere
So many death questions floating in her head
she wanted to get it over and done with and be dead

She observed all her previous tries
all she did was but fall to the ground and cry
The thought of doing it properly finely caved in
she thought what she was doing was really but finally brave

She held the knife tight to her neck and the sharp blade to her wrists
she left the reasons of why she couldn't take it on a morbid long list
She slashed her throat with the knife
and in just one split  second she was removed from life
#self harm #she died #never ever think you never ever have a tomorrow
My heart is ripped open
The world just seems broken
My life just full of nothing but an emptiness void
#sad
What's said is said
What's done is done
I didn't stop you from leaving
And now you're just plain gone
#Bye
I hate to say I don't care
But honestly life is so unfair
I dare not to say a word of more
Because I literally don't care anymore
Thank you hello poetry for selecting this as the daily poem but as well to everybody else! Hope your really enjoyed the poem!:)
raised a passionate voice
against the darkness
and standing as one in the setting sun
we held hands and looked on with
wonder in our eyes and joy in our hearts
as the banners flowed in the late day breeze
as the children of our beliefs carried the day
as our trusted man took the field with victory's cheer
saw the fruit of our labors come at long last
peace had defeated war
love had destroyed hate
caring had swept away all the cold hearted
and we could at long last breath free
long last we could thrive in the sun
they say that the time has passed for such dreams
that the sixties are so long ago
but history is filled with men who stood up
and changed the world
gandhi...lincoln...martin luther king...
so take my hand and lets not ever stop trying
to change the world
one smile at a time
