I thought
I could be someone.
I thought the world would open
up it's arms and allow the low
and broken
a home
in which to calm.
I was wrong.
Whispered dreams seem to shatter
on the wind.
A breeze of hope
whisked away the things I know
replacing them with
spinning tears.
No more near-sighted dreams.
A hurricane of plans
span it's last gust.
Leaving our future,
tumbling thickly
as dust.
Yay, pessimism. Life's been getting me down lately.

lie
Your lie has transformed you,
You made a catfish of yourself,
Giving someone support and comfort,
when you were crumbling,
Now they've come to see the real you,
And has come to think that they are the problem,
When you now,
Was just the same you before,
The lie you span has come back around,
And now you're caught up in you're own web.

It's like I've known you my whole life.
I can feel your soul,
and when you are next to me
the moment seems incredibly
intense.
Do you feel it?
Maybe.

You are not
worthless.
You are worth
more than all
the stars in
the sky,
More than all
the waves that
kiss the shore,
More than all
the birds that
fly the skies,
More than all
the clouds that
float on by,
More than all
the wishes dreamers
make upon dandelions.
You are worth
something.
Eyes to eyes, lips to lips
I trace your heart, with my fingertips
I'm just a dream away from crying
Whenever I'm this close, this close to you

With eyes wide shut, I belong to you
My heart exposed, a dream come true
Oh! Won't you dream with me?
I'm not asleep, on the other side

I still think about you all the time-
your perfect features and graceful soul.
Your absence and emptiness
leaves me full.

Lost
My life
Is like
A mosaic.

Shattered pieces
Fit together,
In hopes
To look
Beautiful.
I could relate to the project we're doing in my art class.

Your words trickle smoothly
through the emptiness
of a 2 o'clock evening.
I savor each word;
a drop of honey,
smooth jazz.
Neither as sweet
or soothingly cool
as you.

A craving.
Another cigarette
held gingerly between
*******,
two lips.
You dance like smoke.
Mystery.

An aura of beauty
cascades around your entire being.
Your hair falls as refreshingly as rain,
and your eyes are soft blankets that
I can feel my soul curl up with.

Your presence is bewildering.

Another hopeless romance.
There's some unfamiliar comfort about you.
The sun has shined today for the first time in weeks.
The bird song today doesn't seem to lull me to sleep.
The grass is starting to pucker it's lips
and the trees are stretching their limbs.
Flowers open to breathe fresh air,
The scent of spring is everywhere.
I feel renewed by this springtime hues,
Out with you, old wintertime blues.
