Fingertips linger upon skin
I trace my answers
As if my hands are mouths
Tongues lapping at the salt
The sunrise rests upon you
Layers of pink, orange and yellow
Glisten upon your face
And my gaze
Falls into your eyes
Your name
The horizon upon my tongue
And our love, I devour
Slowly eating with every touch

what does it feel like to be held
not by another body
not by a set of limbs, a chest, a chin
but
by another soul

what does it feel like
to see truth in another pair of eyes
instead of hidden intentions
instead of absence

what does it feel like
to hear a familiar heartbeat
resounding next to your own
reaching through skin
through bone
two rhythms
indistinguishable

what does it feel like
to write poems about
a love that exists

staring out the window,
I remember you as you were

a bird always in flight

a fist full of tomorrows
held in the palm of your hand

staring out the window at the pouring rain
the warmth of your hand
pinions of a dove's wing
your hand in mine

I will not see the shadow
under your smile

gathering all the light in the room
like a flower in the sun

I remember you as you were

My heart sounds out
   And whispers
Like wind chimes in the air
   For you

With gentle rest
   Our dancing steps
And hopes more light
I wish you into this summer memory fair

Playing carousel dreams
   Of you
Just to hear

It has been said, for the one you love you should go the distance to keep them happy.
So All I can do for you  I'm gonna do it, girl.

That anyone, after I'm gone gonna, has a hard time erasing me.

If I must work all day?
And all through the night, I'm gonna do it, love.
Cause all I can do for you?
I gonna do it, girl.

You're my heart.
You're my love.
You're the shining star in my eyes above.

A great representative of the word love.

In your nothingness, I found you
In my nothingness, you discovered her
Leaving me to grief losing you
With such heavy heart I let you go
Only to meet you often in my dreams
A dream where you are a part of my being.
I find it amused to see a person changed upon discovering a new someone. Letting them go may be best for everyone.
