twilight, dusk and dawn
unfollow, report, and block
my emotions inconsistent like waves
my memories blackened of our dates
riding around in your car, pounding heart
driving out too far, lost our spark
twilight, dusk and dawn
our connection was not for long

setting myself up for rejection
but what is worse, feeling or rejecting?
rather feel the cuts than ignore the eruption
rather deal with my feelings as they are disrupting
my day to day
the way i communicate
with you and him
cut off the ones that didn’t hit
different than you
do you understand me like i understand you?
I S A A C Aug 2023
pour me slowly over ice
hot hands and tender thighs
understanding and rebranding
time is taxing for your love i’m famished
refresh me as you undress me
it is only right
caress me as you undress me
take your time
undress me, slip into my mind
I S A A C Sep 2022
watching the landscape as i take the train
anywhere but here
pigeon held in this cage for too long
i want to escape my fears
fly into the clouds
don’t worry when i will come down
i am always around in spirit
when i get away i finally hear it
the whispers of nature, the feeling of tranquility
when i am disconnected, unplugged
when i am authentic, it’s all love

I feel the crack of the dead leaves underneath my feet
reminding me I stay wondering around this dead place
once upon a time this was an oasis, once upon a time it was colourful
now it is all dead, storms more violent than the ones in my head
I guess I feel comfortable here, I imagine there's nothing to fear
make friends with the bloodthirsty, prove to myself I am unworthy
of anything better than this bitter taste
deserve anything better than this polluted waste
I swim in the chaos, I dive into the unhealthy
goodness is too overwhelming

Evocative thoughts of the way our bodies interlocked
our fingers tightly woven like braids, only sunshine in your gaze
My complexity a recipe for brain-fog, robbed of the spontaneous blaze
living in fragmentation hoping if I kiss this green frog
then maybe a chocolate prince might melt my skin
Encapsulate my energy and wear me like perfume
make your four white walls our bedroom, to bloom like magic mushrooms
To leave this earthly body and ride the waves of the galaxy
slip you underneath my tongue, my personal ecstasy
Thought you could be the one but this is my warped trajectory
my destiny is filled with complexity, just a working bee collecting honey
Never expected me to find a remedy to this insanity of life on Earth
But baby it is none of my concern

so real
so true
the truest of blues
your touch so smooth
lubricate my mind with seeds of knowledge
harvest my body from your sweet desires
interested in the disarming nature of your iris
i am not used to this
i can grow used to this
never been used like this
i’ll never feel used again
if you are my only man
you’ve become my heaven sent
love letters written in green pen
thanking my brillant man
I S A A C Jul 2023
do you hear that?
no
do you fear that ?
no
understand its near when the heat bubbles my brain
understand the tears when they flood more than rain
i can’t taste anything but raging waves
washing my face, washing our pain
cleanse, repent, until i second guess
all the compression of my fate
depression in my rays
internal divide, leave the strain in the drain
self sacrifice, smoke the demons away
I S A A C Apr 2023
water sheds from my eyes
floating on the river instead of panicking
i never felt so helpless in my life
trying to hold on but i am vanishing
slipping into the starry night
tripping into my violent mind
trying to hold on but i am vanishing

always thought a man was what i needed
thought that there was reason
why, after how hard I tried
love kept declining, defying my expectations
moving in and out of happy places
but i found something
watered my seeds, watched them grow into trees
now i revel in the sweetness of its berries
i dont need a man, i dont even think i want one
art is my soulmate, time is no longer my weakness
bite into life’s big peaches
no need for men in my reach
art is my soulmate, my vibe is Venus
I S A A C Jan 2022
I was shot down like a bird
bleeding into the earth
it is a cycle I say as I watch my life fading away
in and out of black
in and out of panic attacks
whichever way I choose it's all a ruse
I was an old soul plagued with idealism
So naive to not see the true villain
My passion blinded me could not see the vermillion flags
I S A A C May 22
seen you yesterday, my prays have been answered
i was so enamoured by your swagger and my heart fractures
i was so armoured by my triggers and my heart putters
it could be so sweet if only
it would be so perfect
i wish on comets in the sky
i follow the pulsing intuition inside
it could be so sweet if only
i would be so worth it
i wish on cranes in the sky
i pray to release my vermin

I struggle to stay balanced
my asymmetry is well established
my to-do list is longer than my hair
which I need to cut, by the way
So many dead ends, so little day
So many tasks, my schedule cannot sway
the gears are moving, the thoughts invasive
the fears are proving to be quite abrasive
too much, cannot face it
so I meticulously place my crystals north
so I ridiculously colour coordinate my clothes
anything to escape myself mischievously
I struggle to stay in one place
I struggle every day
I S A A C May 2020
There’s always been a hairline fracture in my heart
The beats odd and off
There’s always been a strange attraction to the dark
Can’t decide if it’s evil or not
I hear the seductive whispers of something from the far
I clutch my fist and pretend I’m in my home
With my eyes closed, my mind roams
From the place I’ve known, to the place I can go
The white light creeping in like a cat
The blue hues painting my toes like the waves of the shore
The bliss I feel cannot be counterfeit
But that was just another of your many lies
To make it want it so bad that you could come inside
But I cannot go with you and you cannot go with me
I’m learning the lesson of filling my own cup
I’ve grown tired of my tired father drinking my cup
I’ve grown tired of the lack of fatherly love
I’ve grown tired of being the one always left out
I’ve created walls that rival China
I’ve created walls that dynamite can hardly dent
I’ve created a lush jungle that exists in between the bricks
My happiness rolled in once I realized there was nothing I needed to fix
That love was a birth right and not a prize for doing something right
My lack of love taught me the power of love, that I can make inside

no pressing crushes, no bruises to poke
losing autonomy, stuck on cruise control
hold me so I can feel something
no blessings are approaching, no stress is revoked
I choke on my sweet words, I am afraid of being hurt
worked until I was blind
numbed until I was fine
pressing buttons, I tried
to get a reaction, to prove our chemistry
to get a response, to prove you needed me
but you didn't
now it has ruined me

walking on shards of glass whenever we interact
i am unnatural, nervous
usually feel so authentic and perfect
you mix my energy like a bartender
misrepresent my ability like my father
leading me to walk on shards of glass
sweeting the darker moments in the past
it is easier like that
it is easier to unpack
I S A A C Aug 2021
what fantasy should I play into today
watch the fruitful image become laced with dust like Pompeii
what fantasy should I play into today
become just another burnt-out cigarette in your astray
my life is simply a fallacy, nobody truly cares for me, losing my sanity in the name of chastity
my life is unsatisfactory, nobody truly can handle me, confidence beat up no battery, take another shot of vanity
woah, I feel it start to form
woah, the new queen of the swarm
woah, x marks the spot no storm
woah, no longer can conform
to society, their ideology in breach of me
and my values, firmer than statutes
life can bruise, covered in the cool hues
and my bad news is I can still lose
but why focus on the lack and knives wedged in my back
rather not focus on that
discard the cracks and sneak attacks
rather not focus on that
my walls are up and they keep you back
I S A A C Feb 2022
cityscapes and heartbreaks
808s and carrot cakes
my life took a turn, a left
you tried to make me burn but I left
you at the alter, my destiny I cannot falter
I let me get softer, left the slaughter
watercolour paints and growing pains
deep introspection and soaking rains
get to the root of the issue, the root of the pain
elevate, activate
popping off like champagne

the smell of smoke stings
memories of what could’ve been
catching fire but the spark lost in the wind
in my journal i wrote many things
Not much spoken
But we watch the water from the bridge
Not to address or dispute
we are too avoidant to provide proof
Far too broken

silence is your greatest weapon
nobody can gauge, the inner rage
that is willing to bubble up any second
compliance is your greatest weapon
feelings are saved, integrity betrayed
clean yourself up like an inspection

California king bed, my dreams taking over again
The daydreams hit differently, waking up and you aren't next to me
Place pillows to emulate you so I can sleep comfortably
Imagining my baby cuddling, hand on my waist so elegantly
My heart unlaced, ready to take
My faith I give, ready to taste
Every inch of your skin, including the air you breathe
Intermingling our energy with you underneath
Love me until you can't stop loving me
I S A A C Apr 2022
it is hard for the truth to come out of my sealed lips
played the victim and I take my role seriously
we were just on the same water, passing ships
the sun and the moon meeting in an eclipse
only for a moment but the moment was potent
wishing for more moments like this
rips and rips until I finish my zip
hours and hours until I finish my shift
you are the one thing my mind cannot slip
the one man that drives me to drink
so I don't think, just a couple of sips
now I am covered in my sadness as the sunlight peeks through
such a naive little boy, never knowing what to do
what to do

4am tears, undergrad took 5 years
you left in exam season, the feast of my fears
i graduate in 2 weeks, crazy timing
you were mine once upon a winters timing
the blue flowers bloomed like Novalis
i am troubled and dramatic
where art thou romeo
where art thou pair
where art thou romeo
where art thou chèr

Oddly enough, it's no longer tough for me to let everything fall apart
Diamond in the rough, I shine no matter what
heartstrings sing through my eccentric art
every piece of me in motion like a river
need that constant change like I need my liver
but still, I drink until it goes black, the abyss always has my back
my dreams don't seem so distant when I do not have any vision
I am so anxious lately, understanding I never had any control innately
debating on what to do, what to say, how to live, what game to play
I am a student of logic, my days as metaphysical as the forms
in which I seem to aspire to, tired of number two
will I be number 1 for someone or always an afterthought
I have too many thoughts for my own good
The only one that has time for me is the moon
feel so claustrophobic in these 4 white-walled rooms.
I S A A C Feb 13
streams of speech rolling out of me
filling up my room with feeling
swimming in our own dealings
was it equal?
was it real?
storms of chaos were brewing
filling up all my perception
neglected my honed senses
was it fair?
was it canon?
stranded in my shame
swimming to a shallow grave
why must i hide?
why must i hide?
I S A A C Jul 2024
why why why
i cannot get into your mind
too distracted, too kludgy
humbled me three times
too busy running
why why why
i cannot seem to ever find
the solace in solo expeditions
deficit without you by my side
too busy running
from my pretty eyes
I S A A C Jun 2022
earthquakes, heart breaks, slow like a turtle
trying to birth my new era but i am not fertile
all in divine timing i guess
what is holding me back, my stress, my ex, is my best not good enough
what is holding back my blessings, my lessons, is it that my heart is scuffed
what do i even want, been way too long
since i asked myself to be honest, everything has been a performance
who would i be if i was fearless
what would i be like if i was endearing
wonder what the core essence of me is, my scent riding the breezes
people are recognizing me, my anxiety recognizes me
a recipe for brain-fog, get up for a morning jog
to sweat out all of my venom, to restart my system
cultivate and reinstate my Wisdom
I S A A C Apr 2022
underneath the covers, no worries of lovers
too busy focused on the uncovering of all my budding flowers
of all my seeds sproutings, if spirit is allowing
springtime is my favourite, it's a fresh start
to be better and bigger than before
to pick yourself up and wish for more
so I will wish for more, more than men who are decor
so I wish to explore, a man not plagued with internal wars
one that is not afraid to see what lies behind the door
one that is not afraid to let their heart pour
I S A A C Aug 2020
it's the tenderness that I crave
Someone who is sturdy and won't cave
Under the pressure of cold eyes
Under the pressure of bold lies
Will you believe me as they put me at the stake tonight
Half-past noon I was rummaging through the room
Pushed back the curtain to see the view
When I saw pitchforks and heard the venom they spew
So here I am draped in the full moon, ropes so tight
I am selfless I know because nothing can stay gold
But if this is my time to go at least I know my glow will be emblazoned in their minds
My conscience will be divided into all of their little minds then continue to haunt them and their lineage
Not only am I all-powerful but I am also a stubborn *****
Do not fear power
I S A A C Jul 2023
my biggest fear is to forget
forget how my lips stretched into a smile
forget how my comments made you giggle when you were raining tears
my biggest fear is to be forgotten
like the shoes that carried you 100km or the eldest daughter
my biggest fear is too common
just like me, riding the waves of insecurity
peace is a breath away but so is shame
the only thing unforgotten in my brain
the way it stitches my situation
the way it feeds the roaring flame
my footprints in the sand are destined to wash away
my biggest fear is to exist without a trace
I S A A C Oct 2024
its not like i didnt try
i killed myself everytime, suicide
still alone with i, pedal pedal my bike
i continue the cycle, self sacrifice
its not like i didnt try

i signal the change
i witness the seasons
the transition of the leaves
the disappearance of oasis
i signal the change
i witness the reasons
the outline of your treason
the disappearance of peace
i know too much
Yeah

You understand the cycle of generational trauma, birthed from hurt to cause drama
You understand communication styles that dip their pedicured toes into ***** waters
You understand the impact of microaggression and discontentment

But you don't know what love is
The examples you had only you taught you how to be toxic
Birthed patterns within me that restrict me
Anxiety reaching new heights as we reach the peak

Sleeping with you closer to me in cause a sudden dream prompts you to leave
If you love something set it free but what if you don't return to me
Emptiness I would feel because I never knew what love was
Until it was too real and I let my fears dismantle what would've been soulmate love.

flickering nights turn into sunrise
yuletide, painted smile
attempting to reconnect
to respect my juvenile

lustful and untrustful
screaming matches and rebuttals
worn out muscles and tear puddles
but what did we win, cards caving in
whichever way you try to spin, swan song on the violin
whichever play you do, your eyes get under my skin
I can see the hurt, the guilt, the shame
I tried to heal, build, and begin
again and again, return to my zen listening to Gwen
escape to my four white walls and write songs
each melody washes away the pain of yesterday
each harmony bringing back the colour to the gray
lifeless self I let my body become
dancing to the beat of my own drum
