Walking in the forest was I
when I heard a plaintiff cry
begging me to give her aid
a desperate and 'prisoned maid.

Locked up in a tower was she
all alone with her misery.
“I'll let my long hair down for thee
to climb up here and rescue me”.

I thought this was a little unwise,
a wicked glint tinged my eyes,
a knowing smile, and feeling smug,
I gave her hair a hefty tug.

Down she fell into my arms,
muttering curses, gushing charms.
Over and over we tumbled for fun
rolling about in the midday sun.

I noticed the rip in her dress
so her thigh I did fondly caress.
Respond in kind she promptly felt,
loosening off my trouser belt.

And her father's lock on her chastity
was no match for my skeleton key.
Even though he'd chained the door,
his daughter is a maiden no more.

War. Famine.
Pestilence. Death.
Enjoy a game of poker.
It relieves the boredom.
They only have one Big project
booked into the work diary.
The horses are stabled,
so why not have down time?
The day-to-day business
takes care of itself.
Ably supervised by the humans
in a race to the Big day.

The stillness is penetrated by sound.
Death cleaning his teeth
with his reaping scythe or
Death sharpening his reaping scythe
on his teeth.
Either way, it shattered vertebrae.
His nerves were getting twitchy.
Three Kings, the Jack and Queen of Clubs.
Royals were dropping like flies.
It was going to be a busy night.
He met Wars eyes and her bet,
(****! She looks beautiful sweating),
paid an advance and called.
Uncharacteristically delicate,
he lay down his souls.
Jack and Queen of Clubs.
Kings of Diamonds, Spades and Hearts.

War smiled sweetly.
Her dirk-like eyelashes
fluttering an assassins dance.
Letting her cards fall soft,
triumphant with winners ecstasy,
she declares her hand...

… “SNAP!” she says.

I buried my father:

In the St. Augustine Cemetery
I visit at the old gravesite of the deceased annually
I saw the quiet grave keeper still standing there looking dazed and confused
By the looks of things:
My father resting place
still soaks up all the tears

My mother and other siblings said to me
That to visit any one grave site wasn’t their kind of thing

I buried my father underground: It have been so long
Since then, the birds would come to the house of my father
Looking for breadcrumbs from days old bread
The dead will not be forgotten, his name will lives on

When I was a toddler, he fed me white rice with butter
Sprinkled with black pepper and grated cheese:
With my weak voice I was say “thank you: he was so please

I buried my father in the St. Augustine cemetery
It’s one of the saddest places to visit,
Unlike seasonal passes tickets
So adjacent, those graves: so annoying those wild crickets

He might be far away from his home,
but not from our hearts
Everything on his grave seem so square and flat,
But the most outstanding piece was the letters that read
R.I.P:  what I saw was (Rescue Innocent Perry)

Sometimes, I wondered about the dead
About their done deals: their final feast
I buried my father there, but not his memories

I saw the old mahogany tree still standing tall
the pieces of kindling wood, he made for grilling,

I will  always remember him, and I know he might be
Thinking of me, his poetic daughter especially on that day
when I accompany him to cut the branches from the
old Mahogany tree, just to make backyard wood fire
For the family breakfast, lunch and supper
I buried my father: the naïve share cropper:
Memories, sadness Mahanay tree, death , wood fire,
family, sharecropper
We arrive at the motel I sat next to the window
Soon he closes the drapes with clothespins in tow

I know what's about to come
I hurry and slam two shots of ***

At a split second I get a fist right on my face
I knew it was coming but I didn't get myself braced

He yells b---h you know what your supposed to be doing
As I **** in the tears I pick myself up off the ground stooping

I opened my bag the last pieces of items I own
I'd wish I'd gone and found a comfort zone

I change into my clothes mini skirt , tight shirt, no bra and high heels
I'm afraid to squeal

While I'm leaving, you know what to do or your family will be black and blue

I stroll down the long road a car rolls up
I get in and guide him to the stump

I go back to the motel
Hand over  the cash, and I get hit, kicked and told to go resale

Realizing that I'm just a minnow
swimming  in a fish tank
With no way out cause  I'm out ranked

She stares out her big blue eyes full of tears
Remembering all of her fears

The day that the snake that jumped almost biting her leg
Or the bull raging in his cage

She fears the water for she may drown
Or the tornado that will twist her around

The falling tree that fell by her car
Fear of the bear with that great big claw

The shadow that follows her one step behind
The demon keeping in tune to her fears that aren't very kind

The worst fear of all she carries
Is the fear of losing your love that makes her sing like a canary

You was my eye candy
While I was sipping brandy

Your my babies daddy
You was sweeter than cotton candy

You was my world,my everything
You was so nourishing

You was my abuser
You turned out to be such a loser

I fell head over heels for you
Didn't know I was going to be black and blue

I always thought that you loved me
I fell for your hustle,I guess I just couldn't see

Day after day I took severe beatings
They definitely wasn't bee stings

I was threatened and my family too
I was trapped with no way out if only I had a canoe

I finally got away from you
It only took me seven years to subdue

You are dead now but I bet you've made a deal with the devil
I know your still a rebel

Every day I have to deal with health issues
Caused by the daily beatings that I took with no rescues

They say I'm a survivor within
Looks like you still win

The lyrics of colors..

It was a field of beautiful flowers.. So many colors and auras, a dream within a dream.. So many reds to spread this crimson song that sings when the wind makes these flowers dance.. The blues are shy as they hide behind the reds not realizing they add the most beautiful lyrics to this quiet song.. The yellows spread their arms far and wide shining like 1000 suns.. The purples are mystery beauty that one can only behold under the white moonlight as it kisses the dark colored dream pedals that shine ever so.. The oranges blossom their sweet melody as they sing in chorus with all the other colors. And the angelic whites are so bright you swear that you see halos over them all.. Within this Galaxy of colors I come across one I have never seen.. In the center of this chaos of beauty stood one shadow black flower.. It stood alone colorless and sad.. As My eyes set upon it I realized that this one was by far the most beautiful of them all.. The shadow black star shined alone at the center of this galaxy.. This is the creator of colors.. Because without this there truly would be no beauty.. Thus beauty starts in the shadow black havens at the center of this beautiful song.. No matter how fast light travels its always greeted by darkness that has gotten their first.. This is the beginning..
This is an old post that I wanted to share with you again.

I drove to nowhere one day and found somewhere..
A somewhere inside of me that was always there..
It took getting nowhere to find it there..
And now that I am here, I will always be there..
For you, for me, for all of us..
Sometimes nowhere gets you somewhere..
I was always here and there.

Wisdom in a bottle of lighting. How you marvel at your creation! But after the lightning arcs away then what have you left but quiet thunder..
Don't be consumed with ideas that don't last.. There is much more around you that deserves your light.
