on fine paper,
quality paper,
deserving of thoughtful
care and consideration,
summon courage,
write for one,
even if too many will indifferent read

write for the one,
who will wait for you,
long after closing time
for the need to say
Something
of thanks,
something that cannot go
unsaid

write for the one,
who cannot say
what they needs to say,
and in their stumbling style,
fumbling unsuccessful reach,
says it better than anyone

write for the blind and
sing for the deaf,
be their guide,
be their intimate,
aid them to escape boundaries,
by granting them the saws
to cut loose binding emotions,
share with them your most
intimate courage

"Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things."

T.S. Eliot (1888 - 1965)

how foolishly we wasted those highschool nights with unspoken words and unbroken rules
pinning away for a once missed kiss on lips of best friends without a chance
how naive to think we'd have forever without a sunrise that the stars would never set on this dream
that smoke filled lungs would never burn and there would always be a better tomorrow
we wished to grow old not realizing that we'd want to grow young and never leave those carefree nights now found only in the whisper of the wind and the nostalgia in our hearts
when did I stop living in a dream

What are heavy? sea-sand and sorrow:
What are brief? today and tomorrow:
What are frail? Spring blossoms and youth:
What are deep ? the ocean and truth.

I tread softly upon your legacy
angel of mine with broken wings,
traces left behind in soft whispers
the best of times gone awry,
when you whirl through my head
soaring on kaleidoscopic tranquility
wrapped in lavender zephyr sighs
dancing on clouds of ethereal hope
carefree and peaceful without worry
floating above lapis forbidden skies
like a effulgent butterfly haunting me
in the darkly mindless hours of night
when the haze clears my conscious etchings
       you flutter amidst my words
exhaling ephemeral moments of poetry
swirls of splendiferous opulence
dreams beyond my comprehension,
I escape to heavenly dimensions
'drips of moonlight washing over me'
lingering in this stately haven of intention

I'll burn down my yesterday
Drown in the ashes

I'll cut my past to pieces
Choke on the shreds

I'll choose to love my today
And be devoted to my tomorrow

A Notebook

Some days I want a notebook
all covered in pretty things
And I would fill it with sugar
and warmth
and happiness
with swirling silver letters
and poems
and stories I could never write
that could never be right

Some days I want a notebook
to fill with dreams in cursive curls
I'd write love letters and
song lyrics and
sweet dreams that tickled
my thoughts in the night

Some days I want a notebook
in a candy pink room
with flowers on the walls
and romance on the shelf with
knights and princes that
for me would fight

One day I bought a notebook
a diary of dreams,
an empty page for a prince
One day I bought a notebook

And I haven't seen it since

Tired

I'm so tired
I'm tired of chasing after you
I'm tired of guys leaving me
For my best friend
I'm tired of trying to keep you in my life
I'm just tried of you
I wanna tell you off and tell you to leave me alone
But I can't
I'm tired of trying to be there for you
When your never there for me anymore
I'm tired of crying
And I'm so tired of hurting everyday because of you
