I wanted to be Wikipedia famous.
So famous that when you Googled my name.
It would come with a Wikipedia article.
One day I did just that.
And my name popped up.
I was intrigued.
Finally, they recognized me for my Marvel blog.
I kept telling them Loki did not have to die.
So I clicked on the link.

It had my information
And then.
Oh no.
It said I went to the Hill school!
The Hill School was our high school rival.
I mean, my high school rival.
I still have to get over this bandwagon thing.
Every homecoming, they would win.
I guess it was not like any home I would like to claim.
They called it homecoming, but only one team would show up
To claim victory.
The past is in the past though.
They are a good school.

So I will let it slide just because…
What is this blasphemy!
The article says I went to Boston College.
What nonsense!
They are my rival too!
I mean our rival.
My school would be mad to see that
I alone claimed a personal vendetta.
That was there before my time.
This is madness.
Someone wrote a Wikipedia article about my life.
Just to put in that I went to all my rival schools
Who would do such a thing?
But I had to laugh
Because whoever did it.
Is such a genius.

The eye is full of sport
Michael Kusi Sep 2018
I feel the piece of self in words so true.
Although the whole of ness is not to ask
The phrase, the line, of speech I give to you
To say a page is like a man unmasked.

To state a frame of mind is great to free
The eye is full of sport, a wink is sure
I see the light of smiles, it makes for me
To go at length about a wit so pure.

I step off stage, expect applause to ears.
I hear a thought, He spoke so much at length.
To hear remarks like this, is one I fear.
I gain virtue in their critique, and strength.

He who is brave to hear the voice of crowds
Is made to think about effect endowed.

There is a smile on my cheek kissed, because crying is the howl of the weakest.
When someone asks if everything is all good I just scowl in the bleakness.
I learned early on that showing emotion was just not right.
Because the man who perseveres is the one who must got fight.
I’m so happy, even if my eyes don’t show it you can see by my teething.
Even if you say my lips are upside down, I reply by my leaving.
Everything is fine, I say as if to convince myself but this king is blind.
Because my ring still shines, although life brings the crime of stinging time.
I can only see you in pictures, and our conversations are just memories.
At this point I get more contact from enemies, I don’t see you in my assemblies.
I just hope that wherever you are, you were not brought there by one way train.
Because I yearn that my someday pain will bring us together via a sunny lane.

Some would pick at the petal of the rose
And say he loves me, he loves me not
I suppose.
But feelings are so much more
Than uprooted flowers.
It is more than you and me
It is ours

That rose could be part of a bigger collection
A wedding bonquet
When we love into each other’s eyes
And say I love you forever and always
That rose can always be called
To be a boutonniere men pin to their suits
Standing as the best of men.

The rose can be laid down
As the flowers people give as we walk from the reception.
As husband and wife.
That rose can be put up
As decorations that celebrate everlasting to forever in a halled room.
Finally that rose can be taken off
After all of the festivities of the day
When garments are laid aside
Still smelling of perfume made from dug-up roses.

To here I stand, a man alone to fend
I see the dark in spots they said was shine
The day to laugh is soon, I’m sure no end.
To start this breath of happiness will come in time.

To smile is good, the joy I have is great.
Even chuckle until my chest is sore.
I must receive this glee before it’s late.
This breath resides forevermore.

The breath of joy is there by inch and walk.
My chest and smile agree, I’m glad they spoke.
I’m happy that they met to chat and talk
And then my eyes opened, and I stood awoke.

The day I don’t look on the  upside  to grin.
Is bleak for me, and one I wont go in.

Mary carried a son, the Godhead in one, and perfection embodied in flesh form.
The God with us was built into her belly, and there was no recall but he’s stress born.
Some assembly was required but it just had to be, this was the Messiah.
Jesus came to the Earth with no flyer, to wash man’s ***** laundry with no dryer.
No hamper because nothing possible could hamper his anointing.
His blood was wound for our sins, and his grace gave us God’s appointment.
God looked at Jesus coming up out of the waters and said that I’ll honor that
Judas betrayed him for coins like the ones you use at the laundromat.
He got pieces but no peace because he betrayed the Prince of Peace.
Jesus said I must decrease and told Peter to stand down and put down his piece.
The package of Mary’s pregnancy placed to purchase to pay for this prize.
To save from the demise of Satan’s lies, Jesus is a star and this was a great enterprise.
Mankind held Jesus close but God warned that our hands will break this action figure.
His passion’s bigger, because when Jesus broke bread he had an old-fashioned dinner
The day after was grim, soldiers pierced his side, and there was to be found no smiles.
The soldiers posted up Jesus on the cross as his status and he became a profile.
They tried to block him, but Jesus walked out the tomb just like the texts said.
So God could slide into our DMs for us to communicate as best friends.

If I was a king
Michael Kusi Nov 2017
If I was a king.
You would be more than a queen to me
You would be the whole game.
The board with whom I would never be bored.
The one around I put all the pieces
Of my life.
So I could be up front with you.
Although There would be no pawns in this game.
So when I make moves
I would not have to go across
I would not take an L.
I could not make a mistake without being put in check.
Because even at the end.
When I got captured
It was by you.
Because I am your mate.
Michael Kusi May 2018
I am Jonathan
Crown Prince of Israel
God’s chosen people.
These have been a rough few days.
My friend David had to flee for his life.
The boy who slew the oppressor of Israel
Became the man now in danger of his life.
And he was my best friend
He is, my best friend.
He came to me with tears in his eyes
Running down his face
Dripping down his beard.
His garments were soaked with sweat.
David cried out, “What have I done?”
At first I was slient.
Because I had known that David had done nothing.
His presence was a threat.
Because everyone in the court knew that they saw the next King.
In spite of my father’s wishes that it be me.
But I told David that he would not die.
Of that, I could make sure.

Me and Father were at a dinner.
And he seemed more agitated, than normal.
He kept muttering to himself.
Then he looked up with a snarl and asked, Where is that shepherd boy?
I mean, where is David my armor-bearer?
I stammered.
I normally don’t do that.
Even though I have a lisp.
That I managed to overcome through instruction.
His people have a sacrifice.
So he asked to be excused.
Saul rose in anger.
He grabbed his spear.
Oh no.
I saw his hand twitch.
The way it did at the Lord’s enemies.
Only this time it was at me
And it had a spear attached to it
That was headed in my attention.
I could never forget that Father still had the skill of a warrior.
Even though sometimes he lacked a reliable temperament.
But this was more than unreliable.
This was……attempted ******
Of the Crown Prince of Israel.
And I had no doubt by then
If David had been there
He would have been struck by that spear.
I left in anger.
The food was good.
But I could not stay in the presence of a man
Who wanted David dead
Even if that man was my father
Even if that man was my king.
Because David was more than a friend to me
David is family.

The next day I took my bow and some arrows.
Not to go hunting
Not to go to war
But to save a life.
I took a servant boy with me.
And I fired the arrow.
Far, but at no target in particular.
I kept firing.
With tears in my eyes.
When the boy stopped I called out
Hurry up the arrows are ahead.
I wish that they could stay with me.
But when the boy picked up the arrows.
David got up from his hiding place.
We embraced crying
We spoke covenant to each other
Saying we would be friends forever.
I hope I could see David become king.
So I can serve at his right hand.

A gentleman I shall stay
Michael Kusi Sep 2018
And a gentleman I shall stay.
Forever, tomorrow and today.
The utterance that comes out of my lips.
From the opening glance to the handshake grip,
It is a price but one that I can surely pay.
I just hope that I never falter or slip
Because then society would look on me with unforgiveness eyes.
That what they see as a moral failing is really more a surprise.
What my appreciation is to the fairer other, I must give to thee.
And show that concept is not dead but it must arise, that chivalry.

Excalibur
Michael Kusi Nov 2017
The Lady of the Lake tried to sooth the young king.
She said she will give him a weapon that would beat everything.
She pulled him underwater, and Arthur was shocked to have breath
The Lady of the Lake said that this scabbard would ward off death

He took the sword in his hands and slowly wondered
If this was like the lightning bolts from the God of Thunder.
The Lady of the Lake said that the scabbard was power.
And under the might of Arthur's weapons all men would cower

The Lady of the Lake said that there was one condition.
He must give her the sword when he left the land of the living
He came up gasping, even though no water was in his lungs.
Arthur started speaking in ancient warrior tongues.

Griflet who was with him was shocked at his lord
Who came up to him with a mighty sword
It seemed the weapon to pierce through Achilles breastplate.
The holder of this sword in battle would surely have the best fate

Arthur and Griflet slowly rowed back to the shore
It was as if they had been to this place before
Arthur held on to his sword as if someone was trying to grab.
A bow and arrow was a good weapon but it could not stab.

Next Arthur had to get a spear, which had a mind for slaughter
The Lady of the Lake watched Arthur leave from the water
Arthur held Excalibur, a weapon fit for a king to slay.
Arthur would hold on until he was stabbed and betrayed.

Classroom Sneeze
Michael Kusi Nov 2017
I sneezed in class and the whole class looked at me.
Achoo was the anthem that people could not just let be.
They looked at me as if I had offended their lineage
I could see that my entire class wanted to cringe
To make it worse I had to let off a small cough.
Cah-Cah was the sound my mouth let all off.
Afterwards I stuttered in trying to explain
I wish all this noise were killed by my brain
Because these sounds were better left inside of my jaw.
I heard he-he, and ha-ha, and the dreaded whoooooop and raaaah.
I then heard the squeak squeak of my teachers shoe.
I was sure she wanted to ask me what is wrong with you.
And you shouldn’t go back to class until forever is done.
But she told me in a kind voice to get up and come
She handed me a napkin and said to use this instead.
And then asked me a question based on the assignment I read.

Redemption has come.
Michael Kusi Mar 2019
God gathered all of the hosts of heaven.
And asked, Who is ready to redeem my people?
Michael spoke up quickly and said, Not I.
I am a commander, not a redeemer
Besides, when I confronted Satan over Moses’ body.
I said, the Lord rebuke you.
Whoever is Lord is worthy to redeem your people.
God turned to Gabriel
And Gabriel also turned away and said, Not I.
I am a messenger.
I will bring good news of the coming of the Lord.
God turned to John the Baptist
And John the Baptist turned away and said, Not I
The one who is Faithful and True I am not worthy
To even untie his sandals
Must less take his place.
Somewhere in the background an apostle is weeping
Because he does not know where salvation is coming.
Suddenly God stirs.
And out of God comes Salvation, Glory and Honor.
Everyone rejoices
Because the Lord Jesus was the one who saw Satan fall from heaven.
At Michael’s hand.
The Lord Jesus was the one who came in anticipation of Gabriel.
And the Lord Jesus was the one who is the Prince of Peace.
And the Commander in Chief of the Lord’s Army.
He is worthy to take the scroll and open it.
The apostle rejoiced.
Because redemption has come.

I remember one time
There was a waiter who said to his boss
At a country club
Sir there is someone who is buying water
And refusing to leave
I asked them if they wanted hor d'oeuvres
They said they don’t speak Spanish
But they wanted to meet someone
And when I asked who they wanted to meet
They did not say his name.

The boss looked worried.
Oh no, it was one of those
The boss and the waiter approached the woman
And asked, Can we help you?
The woman pointed and said, I want to meet him!
He looks like he golfs because he wants to
Not because he has no knees
The boss leaned over and said Get out
Or else I will call security.
I have seen your type before.
This is the establishment where you pay by the plate.
And if you were with him, you would have arrived with him.
The woman protested.
But I need to meet someone important
I need to make connections!
She was taken out of the restaurant by security
I always wondered if she came back
And learned that a good trick would be to always buy a drink
Or better yet, actually learn the game of golf.

I dared to take a voice to put inside
My box of chest, so sturdy and gold
I looked, alas, it wants to hide.
I’m sad it looks at me with sighs untold

My heritage is made of chest, so strong to speak
I search to say my peace, all that I breathe
The flesh is feared, I cant because I’m weak.
I nod my head and step aside to leave.

I find my breath by inch, I climb to grace.
I view audience claps with glee and joy.
My box of chest now speaks inside my face.
And there is man, where there was boy.

An orator is born,  in place of  flesh.4
Is there a throne, where there was box of chest?

Christian Terminology.
Michael Kusi Sep 2018
To go under the water s is called baptism.
Christ warned us all about hell, it’s the ultimate prison.
But heaven is for us, who are with God after we are living.
Christ came for us, he gave us something called grace
To take us out the sunken place where we could not see his face.
Christ was born of a ******, that’s called Immaculate
The instruments we use in church to worship are called sacraments.
Presumptive Faith is when we tell God what to do and start assuming
But the benefit of breaking bread with brethren is called Communion.
We lift up holy hands to heaven up high, that is called praise.
We acknowledge God and his ways, its called the Sabbath days.
Faithfulness is forever free, because we know God will heal our hurt.
Whatever we call the building, where God resides is called Church.
Michael Kusi Jun 2018
Christ in infamy on the cross in pain, his injury was our loss for gain.
God had to gain dominion over the enemy to be our boss again.
They put a crown of thorns to his forehead he fell down to scorn on the floor red.
Then the deceased rose again after all that  happened and some must have mused poor dead.
Because there was more blood coming out than was in his human body.
Pharisees mocked him, saying how could anyone assume him godly.
Jesus begain to recite forgiveness, the day became a nightmare for the living breaths.
People must have been so terrified and fear that they were in the prison next.
No one could see, and now the blindness was physically dark.
Jesus came to fulfill prophesy and hit the history mark.
Because when he walked in the garden and met Mary, he did not have to beg pardon.
God said we are all redeemed by the bruises by which we scarred him.

My mouth: I’m okay, Everything is fine.
My heart: The wind will not give in
It laughs at my feeble attempts to shovel.
The snow wants to fly away as soon as I approach it.
I don’t know how I am holding onto the shovel
Because I cannot feel my fingers.
The gloves mean nothing
Because the winds does not respect it.
They told me it stopped snowing
They lied.
And I am the one who is outside.
The winds have pierced through the layers
To reach my heart inside.
I don’t know if frostbite means too warm or too cold
Because right now all the temperatures are hitting me.
I want to go inside
But I am not done, not done
Even the sun has left because it is too cold.
Winter is not coming, winter is here.
My stomach: Ooh, a pizza delivery truck!
My shoe: I think I stepped in some dog--
And we don't have a dog.

America's Hands
Michael Kusi Nov 2017
America’s soil is seated on my speech.
And her breath flies  from my chest.
She reaches out to me with her two hands
That are lifted north and south
Hands that have my people’s  blood on them.
But the blood is black, not red.
America tried  to wash its hands.
But she forgot that I had the towel.
And I refused to throw it in.
I said to America  look at your hands.
You must see that you must do more than whitewash
You must stop sanitizing  and come clean.
Because if I give you the towel now
There will only be more blood
And this time it would be mine.
Michael Kusi Mar 2019
If you still got that look in your eye, you better blink twice.
Because I am a lot of things, and one of them is to think nice.
You said that you would be there to be beside and care for me.
I don’t mean to sound old fashioned but where art thee.
I couldn’t find you on the Facebooklist or the Instagrammys.
But I just wanted to contact you so you could understand me.
If I could write you a love poem, I would start with this premise.
You are the soul that goes into every one of my life sentence.
And I would conclude with this closing thought from above too.
You don’t have to say He loves me not because  I love you.

I used to walk on sinful ground, but I now talk to him spell bound
Been blocked but still found the Jesus who died to save personally
I was enslaved but mercifully, he took my grave curse on a tree
Mary carried this son, the Godhead in one, in his flesh form.
The God with us was built into her belly, and this was God’s blessed born.
Some assembly was required but it just had to be, this was the Messiah.
Jesus came to  Earth with no flyer, to wash man’s ***** laundry with no dryer.

His blood was wound for our sins, and his grace gave us God’s appointment.
God saw Jesus come up out of the waters and said that I’ll honor that
Judas betrayed him for coins like the ones you use at the laundromat.

Jesus said I must decrease and told Peter stand down and put down your piece.
The package of Mary’s pregnancy placed to purchase to pay for this prize.
Save from the demise, Satan’s lies, Jesus is our star who needed this great enterprise.
When Christ carried the cross, it was a trek through our space, that he must do to rise.
The only craft Jesus needed was the wood he gave his life on, he had the last laugh.
Jesus is  the Word, so when his blood was spilled, the ground saw its holy paragraphs.
Life and Birth prophesized Christ walked the earth ostracized

They could not find heaven when they left
So the angels stayed on Earth.
You are one of those gracious angels
So I hope that you stay
I only felt hurt
When some people who were supposed to be angels
Fell from paradise
Then I realized that if upwards did not want them
Then this place was now kin to hell.
But I saw you, and knew that you were not lost.
You were a guardian
You spoke God to me
So I knew what we could make of ourselves
I could not see your wings
But I saw your walk
And I knew a crown suited the steps of your beauty.
So we could reign together
Because even an angel needs a place to abide
I never met an angel with a last name
I would be glad to give you mine
Because the throne is waiting for you
And after you finish walking it is an awesome view.

You really don’t’ want that decline
That evidence of monetary decline
That you wish you had a rewind
The “Sir this is insufficient funds” decline.
The “I cant’ remember where I put my keys”
They catch you looking on the pavement on hands and knees
Begging the ground that please I need to get out this freeze
Then you discover your keys were in your pants pockets hem.
You remember it is there when you had to talk with them
You wonder what you must do, or if it is just you
And your significant other is saying Don’t make a fuzz boo.
Then you look in the mirror and you see some gray hair
It did not snow and you were'nt outside, so it must be always there
You jump up, because you are made that someone never told.
Looking in the mirror and scold yourself because you think you getting old.
But now you can say you are distinguished, because the gray has kissed your hair.
Put on enough dye in your head to choke the environment because you don’t care
What is most important is the need to keep up and not be appalled.
You reach onto your hair and your hand goes too far back, are you going bald?!
Michael Kusi Oct 2018
I was talking to someone
Who said that this time of year was so scary
They said, in shock
I was so terrified
I had a near-life experience!
Near-life experience
I heard of near-death
I asked how could you have a near-life experience
When you are still alive!
They shook their head and whispered, Oh no.
There is only one of me inside my body.
But I was so terrified that I thought someone else came to stay with me!
They then went on and started hollering
I was running around panicking
Wonderful how to induce labor to get them out
Hoping there was a place for them to leave
I felt pains in my sides and said Oh no,
Here they go
Here are my contractions
Breathe in, breathe out.
I laughed and said Stop playing.
That's not how people give birth.
You look like you are constipated.
The person asked, What are you going to be this scary season
I said I’m going to be
More courageous than you.
Because this season doesn’t scare me.
So I’m going to be tired of this nonsense.

Who phone is this?
Michael Kusi Feb 2018
You don’t want that diss text
That Who phone is this text
But it makes you think
Of the time you accidentally dropped your phone in the sink
And cried out, Sink take these hands instead!
You run downstairs and find the bag of rice
How do you trip going up the stairs?
And trip again once you reach the top?
Somehow you do both while carrying the bag.
And you say that the stairs were slippery
But even the stairs be like I did not facilitate such clumsiness.

But you don’t take rice out to put the cell phone in
You dump the cell phone
Sink-water filled and all
Into the bag of rice
This is not a time for delicacy
Your cell phone is dying by the second
You start thinking of all the contacts you would lose if this doesn’t work
You start dreading all the pictures you would lose that you liked and saved.
That you did not upload to Google Cloud
Or share on social media
Because for once you listened to that aunt
Who you only see at the Fourth of July barbecue.
Who said don’t post pictures on social media
Well where is she now with her advice
On how to get water out of a cell phone?!

You take the cell phone out
You think that the rice is ruined
You know what ruined rice looks it
And it looks a lot like this
It even smells funny.
But you stash it inside the cupboard and hope that no one notices
Like when mother says I’m coming home
And you forget that you was supposed to thaw the meat.
So you try to put frozen meat inside the oven
And put the heat on low
And it just makes everything worse
Just like this cell phone
You wish you had an instrument
To **** the water out
Like cell phone dialysis
But that technology is still in the future.
Your cell phone can talk to you in conversation
But any water that gets in stays in
If only cell phones can use the bathroom
Do they have an Ex-Lax for cell phones?
Oh no, because my cell phone is down I can't even look it up!

You mumble to yourself they were focused on the wrong things
When they built the cell phone
Because before your cell phone could be dropped
Thrown or suffer going through the waters.
Sure it did not have the apps
Are apps really worth a new cell phone every new earth rotation?
Nowadays you cant even have a drink next to your phone.
So now you call the cell phone company
And you are relieved that everything is covered.
But to replace it you have to put a lot of money
Because you didn’t have it long enough
You mutter again out long
Since no one is around
They build glass stronger than this.
But you go and get your new phone
And are glad to see that the important stuff is still there.
So when someone text you
And you just see a line of numbers with What's up
You can text New Phone Who phone is this
And let the conversation begin.

Dragon-man had to leave his body and attach his spirit to the Abyss sword.
Free it and leave the NetherPlace before he was attacked by the Fury of Discord.
His spirit left  alone to penetrate the dryness of the NetherPlace
If he took his body, it would be swallowed by the infernal taste.
Only the vessel of Abyss Sword could break the NetherPlace hold.
And once Dragon Man escaped, he had to cross the Lynxian Road.
Those were the first lines of the comic book that I wanted to buy.
Because I thought that Dragon-man was my hero and kind of guy.
I took it to the cash register and the cashier said your soul too.
I was shocked for a second, and she said that is what Dragon-man would do.
He attached his inside to the sword, you can bind yourself to this book.
She gave me a look like I knew what to do next, I was still shook.
I started being nervous and wondered what was going on.
Because I was not the type to be wearing costumes at Comic-con.
I wanted to buy the graphic novel because he didn’t have a show.
Now I had to give up my spirit to see where Dragon-Man would  go.
Does it count as selling your soul if you do it for a graphic novel.
Because if it doesn't it would either be very good or very awful
Then she laughed and said, I’m joking, 15 dollars is the price.
I thought that was a heist, but then I paid the money to be nice.
I finished it  and saw that he did more with his spirit  than attach
But I wouldn’t want to ruin the graphic novel for you so I’ll leave it at that.
But I really liked the graphics, the action and the ending.
I wished I had it at a young age when I was really into  pretending

Your love is a stain on MY shirt

I can’t get it out.
But you are my favorite

Your love is a tear in my PANTS

That has exposed me to the world.
People laugh at me but I don’t mind them because you are home.

Your love is an OPENING in my shoe.

Now parts of me can be seen that were covered.
But I like the way it feels as I walk

Your love has unraveled the SWEATER of my life.

I left a piece of me behind as I come to you.
But I gain all I need when I am with you

Your LOVE has left the COVERING on my HEAD FADED.

I gave you my all throughout the passage of time
Because I wanted to show in all I gave I love you.

We was so smart that there was whispers it was symptomatic
I heard it and thought that they said sympathetic.
I told them I could relate, better than a man to his in laws
They replied grimly that what I just said was being taken care of in laws
I said that you don’t need a writing
To see that there is mind goodness.
They threw up their hands and said,
My goodness, do you have to turn everything to a positive.
I said, If *** can be positive, then so can I!

I’m so hot that when I step in, people look to where the exit be.
Because all of them ain’t got the growth hormone in their arms to flex with me.
Just remember that I am like the sky, the keeper of everything that is fly.
I was writing lyrics when the art of spoken word was just a sigh.
Just in case you wasn’t keeping score, I’ve kicked goals and come back for more.
Like a veteran in war or a singer, I’ve just come back from this tour.

I love the way she grins lopsided at me.
The way her uneven grin looks is so appealing.
Her mouth moves up and down like roadwork
Her eyes twinkle at me, one green and one brown.
Her hair is parted to one side, and move to the other as if to say yes.
Her kindness is like mercy to mankind.
Her hands hold mine, and I feel like I’m a man in paradise.
I’m the luckiest man alive.
She stands up and I see her in all her beauty.
You could not name this beauty
I just have to be in awe of it.
Mystique walks with every step of her intentions.
Suddenly she opens her mouth to say
You should really decide between the tacos and the pizza honey I’m hungry.

Billy Graham spoke to the nation, and preached to the nations.
It was like he was divine doctor sent to the sick world patient.
He traveled the world, using the new medium of television and crusade.
Telling the world to believe in Jesus Christ and become new-made.
Powerful leaders called him advisor, and gave him accolade
He always reminded that the  head of Christ body was the Son of Man.
He evangelized to more people than any person ever from any land.
His message was simple, so simple it was really successful.
Who'd have guessed such common language would have such pull?
God called him home to live with the Biblical apostles and prophets.
Mighty people will arise, in the same anointing that Graham talked with.

My name is Michal.
I am King Saul’s daughter.
And David’s wife.
I was betrothed to David
But my father did not seem happy.
He was muttering something about David getting all the foreskins in the Philistine land.
And that I had to be married to David.
Had to be?
What that not the condition of the Goliath giant killer.
I still remember the first time I saw him.
He was shorter than I thought he would be
And had dark hair and dark eyes.
He was handsome.
And when he spoke, it was quieter than Jonathan.
Maybe it was because Jonathan and I grew up in the palace.
Where we would argue, a lot.
At least when he was not off to battle.
So much so that some servants would run to other parts of the palace.
And I suspect others would listen by the door.

David was more agreeable.
But I kept my idols hidden from him.
Because I knew that he would not understand.
He kept his harp and sang to Yahweh.
I admired such faith
Even if I did not have it.
But my father, did not like David.
Whenever I would ask him why.
Saying that he was my husband
Adding he was Jonathan’s best friend.
And the only man who Jonathan did not argue with.
Saul just kept muttering about foreskins.
Which confused me as David was circumcised.
I would know as his wife.
Was there something deeper going on?
But I dared not ask.
Only Jonathan in our family would have such recklessness.

One day David came running to our house.
He was panting and unarmed.
Sweating with an emotion I did not ever see him have.
It was fear.
I asked him what happened.
He said that Saul tried to throw his javelin at him, again.
Again?
And missed.
I told him if he keeps going to Saul.
One day the King will throw his javelin at him
And Saul will not miss.
Even if it meant he would have to bring armed men to hold you down.
So it is best to leave.
David was puzzled on why he had to flee.
I told him that our love is eternal
It would even survive Saul’s hatred.
Because if you are meant to be king.
I will be your Queen against all odds.
David left out of the window.
I am sure his military training helped.

I took the idol from a room.
I put goat’s hair on it.
And put cloths on it in the bed.
I was sorry for such irrelevance
But David, my love had to live.
I’m sure such sacrilege would be forgiven.
Soon after I heard loud knocking on the door.
I wondered who it was.
But I dreaded who I thought it could be.
So I opened the door
I recognized some of the men who worked in the palace.
They said they wanted to see David.
I told them he did not come home.
They pushed me aside and entered in.
I yelled at them that this was not the way to treat a princess of God’s anointed.
They ignored me, to my surprise.
I said, He is sick because of his wounds.
Leave him alone.
They left.
I stood there, shaken.
Wishing that they would leave me alone as well.
And wondering what they would do when they came back.
These men did come back
With more men.
And demanded to take David with his bed to the king.
I felt a relief to know that David was not actually there
And a sickening feeling.
What would they have done if David was laid up sick?
They took the bed out.
And after a while Father came back.
He was angry, more so than normal.
And screamed at me that David was not in that bed.
He has escaped to lead an insurrection.
I screamed back at Father
David said he would ****, me.
What manner of man did you have me marry
Who would threaten to lay hands on his love.
Saul was stunned into silence.
I feared I would not see David again.
The only man I love.

But did you die?
Michael Kusi May 2018
I have bled for you
In numerous places
But when I rolled up my shirt
To show you my scar
All you had to say was
But did you die?
Oh.

Trouser wearers and shorts lovers.
We must put aside our differences.
To fight a new abomination.
Or rather, an old evil in a new form.
This is the male romper.
It almost pains me to say it.
Male and romper in the same breath.
It makes the breath stink.
This isn’t fashion it is from the underworld.
How are you supposed to conduct your male business?
You would have to risk it all
For a bathroom presentation.
To be caught would be awkward
But also justice well deserved.
For wearing the romper
And not thinking of the consequences.
Speaking of consequences, look at the colors!

If you are brave
And don't want your eyes to be corrupted.
Colors which should not be found on anyone.
Colors which say, I don’t have to make bail.
My dad is a lawyer.
It may say that but I would not be caught dead in it.
Speaking of which, I would not even want to be buried in it.
The only use for a romper is to burned.
Then it could be used to actually keep someone warm.

Message turned around in a huff, and when she looked at the Assembly her huff had turned into a snarl. She gripped the Kingfather Scepter, but thought better. Two of the Assembly brethren who were talking and laughing stopped, and just looked at her bored. She stomped out, still angry. Drent ran after her saying, It’s no big deal, we can get another vote.” Message turned around and jabbed her finger into his head saying, I don’t need another vote, I know what to do.” Drent stepped back shocked. “ This was not the way it was done in Dahomeyia”, he said to her. And then he said to himself,” But this is a new Dahomeyia.” Message threw up her and walked out, without dismissing the Assembly.
A Paroah Chariot was waiting for her, to transport her back to the palace. Message sat down, fuming, muttering over and over, “The Assembly says I should not attack. Well, ***** them. There are other options.” She wondered to herself, “What are those other options?” The screen pulled up the smiling face of the Peacemonger of Strengthened Weapons. He said with a grin, “ You see, your Rulership, I was right. The best course is patience and to understand the situation.” Message clicked off the screen with a fury and pouted with her arms crossed.
The Alliance Project called her saying, “ Make sure you play nice with the Peacemonger. He can be annoying but his heart is in the right place. He knows the pain that  war can bring.” Message then said, almost shouting, “And I know what can destroy a planet and the people in it.” The Alliance Project was silent.
Suddenly another person popped up on the screen. Message turned around thinking,” It can’t be the Peacemonger of Strengthened Weapons I blocked him.” It was Arthur. He said, “Greetings I am on your home planet can you send your finest horsemen to bring me?” Message jumped and down giggling and said  “Sure I have the perfect mission for you when we meet!”
Arthur came to the palace and Message greeted him at the door. She asked him, “Tell me, what do you know about this being called Mythology?” Arthur pondered for a bit and said, “My mother used to tell me of my ancestors, and how they fought to save their Trojan Homeland. The gods were against them, because they said that mankind was in rebellion and must be punished.  The Greek army was the human portion of the forces they sent against us. Eventually my homeland fell, and neither god nor Greek had mercy. They slaughtered who they could not take and burned what they could not steal. So the survivors went across the Earth realm, vowing that what had happened to them would never happen to anyone else. I knew then I was born for a time, but the time I did not know until now.”  Message raised an eyebrow and pressed further, “ Which god was Mythology?”
“All of them.”

Drozen stood before the Council of the Faceless Tongues, kneeled before
He was the Commander of the Numberless Clans, and knew his superiors.
The Prefector murmured, you said with great confidence Earth was dealt with.
The Dragon Power and Dragon-man proves that your speech was myth.
Drozen replied, My liege, I was conquering other worlds to isolate the Earth rock.
Because to allege that I cannot subdue little Earth would be the worst talk.
The Prefector sneered, Maybe we need the Legate to acquire this oceaned planet.
And send you to a realm that is more manageable as a colonized hamlet.
Drozen urged, Not at all my Lord, I will make sure that the deed is done.
And by the end of my warmonger, there will be no doubt who has won.
I don’t want any interference, just let me leave and give me clearance
You are the Council of the Faceless Tongues, and I bow to you tyrants.
The Prefector motioned, Very well prepare your Diablo-Robots and go vanquish.
But be warned that if you cannot conquer this Earth rock, you will be banished.
The Drozen left muttering, I must destroy this Dragon Power and Dragon Man.
As the Drozen teleported to the Alieno-Mechanism, he called on the Numberless Clans.
Dragon-Man on Earth felt uneasy, he knew someone was coming in defiance.
But he could not face this threat alone, Dragon-Man knew he would need an alliance.

We are sixth-fifths of men
Michael Kusi Mar 2018
The professor was speaking
Talking about the three fifths clause
And how blacks could not be seen as completely human
Suddenly a voice cries out
Not even a hand
Or a finger
And says

Professor it should have been sixth- fifths
An extra fifth for what we have to carry for the struggle
Then another fifth for the court system and we have to behave
like the silence is in us
And a final fifth from when we get home from all of that and do shots
The professor was stunned
And said emphatically, Sixth-fifths is inhuman!
The student replies, That is what we have to be to make it
The class was stunned.

How much was the sacrifice
Michael Kusi Jun 2018
Someone asked me
How much was the sacrifice
I said, tearfully.
It costed everything
But if it wasn’t for this sacrifice
I would not be the man I am today
And if it was not this sacrifice
Some other part of me would have to leave
And that part I am sure I needed to live
Rather than giving up what I couldn’t live without.

Cries are for the wounded.
Michael Kusi Jun 2018
I can't cry
Cry must not be seen as part of my wardrobe
Because cries are for the wounded
And you cannot, will not see my scars.
Cries are for those who are first born
Because their breath pains their chest.
***** away at the juices of the womb on their lips.
And I am grown born.
The boy that was in me was left in the womb.
And thrown away with the other parts that could not stay attached.
So I can't cry
But I can talk.
Because instead of the waters being  divided on my cheeks.
They would be fired by my lips.
Because they were not worthy
Even though I always wished they would be
Maybe those words will be someday.
Because I can't cry.

I was resigned,
I once thought to resign but then someone said they wanted to re sign.
I had nothing in my pockets, they said stay in the pocket
I didn’t have change, but they were not at all concerned.
Because they said I had an arm and the reach to go far.
All this time I thought I was disarmed.
But they said i was very disarming
I had the arm to go out regardless of what was in my pockets.
Because I was in this pocket.
I said no more delay in my game, its time to start.
I wanted to kick it but they said it was the wrong game.
Both games were outside, but I pointed and said That’s artificial.
I want to walk on what used to live.
And not talk nostalgic about when we used to stand where it was real.
They nodded and said Even though both of us have goals.
Yours seems to be worth more, so we would be influenced by you.
So we will keep what is real but still look at your bigger goal.
Michael Kusi Mar 2019
I never could have imagined
That looking at you
Would be my first step into heaven.
Your talk to me
Was like when the above breathed to man.
I am your man
But you are my star
I am the manned flight that connects to you.
You ask, why do I blush.
I say because I’m so happy to see you
My whole face needs to show it.
With you I cant be nervous
With you I can only be happy
Because of all of the people to chose.
You extended your hand and said I chose you.
And I replied back, I am honored.

Type
Michael Kusi Nov 2017
I asked her
Do you like me?
She replied.
I’m not a dog person.
I was so stunned
But also amazed that she was forthright.
I wondered if she had a type
The only problem was, that it was out loud
And she heard it.
She turned around
And told me good
Saying, I am a Type A personality.
You are the type that would type fanfiction at Starbucks
And hope that there is Internet there
I thought, Wow she knows me.
She walked away.
I guess I was better off.
I’m happy I did not tell the whole truth
Of who I am.

Write the plain and make it vision.
Write the gift and make the signature Yeshua bin Yosef.
Because God called down, With your shield or on it!

Kings have to give to the King of Kings.
And it be the first and best King’s day.
Give him food, and call it Burger King.

The day he borne a body was the day he was borne.
So Rachel may have cried that day but she did not mourn.
Michael Kusi Mar 2018
When I did not know what to say, Jesus stepped up and uttered groanings.
Because he is the atonement to save me in my most stressful moments.
I hold the sword but He is my shield, and he stands beside so I don’t yield.
When I thought I did not have ability he told me I was wonderfully made and skilled.
By his stripes I am healed, Jesus is the seed that survived the thorns inside the field.
Those groanings became a Word, into the ear of God Jesus’ voice became heard.
Because by the time I kept believing breakthrough had already occurred.
I cried out to God and he said that Jesus was a different animal  to be in my nature.
Because he is the lamb that came to be my Lord and Risen Savior.
So with Jesus I would never waver, he is the Living Water that brings life flavor.
And the Word lived inside of my heart until it became the grown truth.
Because Jesus flew up to the above without needing a phone booth.

You are the best.
I don’t want to find out the truth.
You keep what you said to yourself.
Hurry up, this should be over quickly.
I wish you would tell me how you feel.
No you are not like the rest, you are special.
You heard that before? This time I mean it.
We have to do this quickly, I’m in a rush.
Do you want me to order breakfast?
Don’t laugh, I can cook if it could be boiled.
I see that we have eggs in the fridge.
You forgot your shoes and your socks don’t match.
I’m not self-righteous because there is no God there.
Why should we argue when we know what we are here for.
I love you Honey, good luck tomorrow.

She was so beautiful
That the only words used to describe her
Were not from a lost language
But from a lost people.
But beauty did not simply inhabit her figure.
It ran so much deeper than visual essence.
Her beauty was in her voice.
Soft, yet it drew me to her.

Her beauty was bathed in kindness
And when I offered her a towel.
She blushed and said thanks.
I said I was not just giving it to her.
It was an effort on my behalf.
Because I was throwing it in.
And laying down any game I thought I had.
To get the woman I know I love.
Why do I need to look at anyone else
When I have already seen you twice.
And every time I view you.
You look better than each and every woman out there.

I got to tell a vision
Michael Kusi Aug 2018
You got television
I got to tell a vision
Of a time, when people can be free
When we don’t have to believe in others
Because we first reassured ourselves
We should not think the people on television have all of the power
Instead we should press the remote control and turn off the power
We are always in control
The power just seemed remote
Because the power is not actually in our remote.
The power is in our hearts
So let us get up
And be the ones on television people would want to watch
So that when they have the remote
They will turn the channel to hear us speak of our vision.

Hey you!
Kneeling down with ***** fingers
Please stop planting flowers there.
I know that they look pretty.
I hear how much they cost and how long you waited in line
But this  is not a garden
This is a graveyard
And there is no sustenance here
You really should not plant seeds
It is better to lay a wreath down.
In remembrance of those who make this place
Their eternal home.
Because if you keep planting flowers there
We will all leave to go on to our daily lives
And the flowers will only add to the dead
Because everyone who could've cared for the flowers is long gone.

I was born on the seventh day.
God said he needed rest
After all the effort to get me out.
I was born 2 pounds
They don't even make weights like that
Except in color
But this weight my mom lifted was all color.
They took me to a fortress of solitude
And there I lay
Waiting to fight
Even though with every breath
I was already fighting

They tried to put an IV in me.
Like I was the fourth generation with the same name.
Great effort to help.
But it burned
I got burns in the third degree
Are babies supposed to endure this much pain.
This babe did.
The pain I endured
Was so great crying would not make a difference.
But I did not cry.
And after it healed.
I will bare the scar until God stops resting
And we need to work together.

But the fire was third degree
Because the first degree was high school.
The second degree was college
And that last degree
Which hurt the most
Which dug deep
Was law school
The birth certificate was the first I got
But it wasn't the last
And its the only one I don't hang up.
Because all the certificates on the wall
Show the fire that is in me.
But my birth certificate
Was made by the fire that was put on me.

I stand on grace, to arm the strife of man.
They call me lust, I say I’m what you want.
The Greeks will say I’m God, to rule the land.
Retreat and make me ghosts to fear and haunt.

In highest skies, in deepest seas, I launch
I can be pictures, thoughts or just a word
In dreams ******, I can also be taunt.
You look around to see, if you just heard.

I can go where no flying thing can, even the bird.
You hide your seen, disguise yourself from friends.
You fear to get revealed, it seems absurd
You always will think, this seen has no end.

The one ticket is to just throw it away.
And once it’s left, it feels like a new day.
