Simple embroidery
An elaborate  heart
sewn on your camo sleeve.

where did you begin
who were you
why are you
the way you are today
was it outside forces
did you just adjust
to your environment
or did you pretend
to be something new
so long it stopped
being an act
I'm curious.

The fires rage
Then burn out
Only to be lit
By someone new
That sounds so familiar

it is a circle
Around we go
Where we'll stop
I really hope someone knows.

I found heaven
and found
it had its own demons
So I moved to limbo
Not sure where
I will flee to next
I hear the void is nice.

You look like me
you act like me
but you aren't me
my dear shadow
this is a problem
though not your fault
it is mine
for I tried to attain immortality
through cloning
unfourtunately for us both
you are but a poor intimation
maybe i'll just write a book.

Are you just writing
the same thing over and over
like you're possessed
tell your ghost story
and free yourself of
mad repetitive scrbbling
if you can
it may be even you
do not know what
you truly wish to say
and every attempt
drives the truth farther away
A shame.

So much history
in those old walls
so many secrets overheard
if you could would you spill them
like roaches looking to spread
better knock it down
just in case
parking lots tell no tales.
