A harbinger at a red light
Her opulent glance was evocative
At first forbearance, yet she was
fetching

One glance imbued a labyrinth
Of emotion
I felt
effervescent

The traitorous light objected to bliss
Flashed GREEN

The magical scintilla betwixt us
Evanescent

For that one fleeting moment
Dalliance
Ephemeral  - short lived
Dalliance - a brief love affair
Scintilla - spark

As I eased on the Brakes at the
Intersection
I noticed her glance

I tried to ignore her, but she was gorgeous
A ten

In that brief, flickering moment
I fell in love
My heart danced with a tangled web of
Emotion
Butterflies bubbled from my
Body

I cursed the light when it
Flashed GREEN

For that fleeting moment I knew what
It felt to be in
Love
I just felt like writing Ephemeral Perfection over again with a common word. It is no exactly identical minus word choice, just a similar moment! Let me know if you prefer one over the other. Thanks!

Hockey is fun to watch
Hockey is fun to play
Shoot the puck in the clutch
Bat the cold pucks away

Skate down the smooth white ice
Pass to a  free teammate
Time together is nice
Don't shoot the puck too late

Fans like to view hockey
Who is the best player?
Kids like Sidney Crosby
He's a goalie slayer
An unwritten story
That will never have words.
A sentence waiting to be spoken
That is never going to be heard.
A quick glance in your eyes,
Just as swiftly, looking away.
Talking to you every day, but
Still not knowing what to say.
Alone time together?
We’re just friends, so it’s fine.
What are you thinking?
That you want to be mine?
I hate that you say you’re imperfect,
Because you’re everything to me.
What more could I love in a person?
What is it that you can’t see?
Hearing your ridiculous laugh
Always brightens up my day.
I’m shutting out these thoughts, though,
Because they’re useless, anyway.
We’ll never be together
You’ll never feel the same.
When I’m gone in August,
You’ll probably forget my name.
Until then, I’ll catch stars in your eyes
Only when you cannot see.
I will write some rhymes and poems
About what could never be.
An unwritten story
That will never have words.
A sentence waiting to be spoken
That is never going to be heard.
A quick glance in your eyes,
Just as swiftly, looking away.
Talking to you every day, but

Suppress your thoughts
Suppress your feelings
Suppress anything that doesn’t fit

Society society
Hear their rules
Abide by their dictatorship

Long for more
Yearn for pleasure
Learn to live

Society society
Hear their rules
Abide by their dictatorship

No feelings are right
Individuality is contrite
Burn that heart
It has no place

Society. Society.
Nothing matters,
I’ve seen you,
All the movement and stillness,
All the serenity and forgiveness,
All your health mixed in with the weakness
In your walls. I know
The texture of half the scars
On your tender heart.
You can have whatever you like,
You deserve so much more,
Than I could offer,
You are so much stronger,
Than I can explain,
You can take up space in my heart
If you wish,
Fill this distance with want of a kiss,
You can have my hesitation,
My trust.
You can have my aspirations and my lusts.
You can do with them whatever you like,
Please, though, please don’t cry.
Never cry.
When someone you care so much for cry's and you are to far away to comfort them. That I would say is up high on my list of fears.
It's there...
It's just harder to find
We are told that it is becoming harder and harder to see.
But I don't think it's true.
I think there is just as much love as there ever was.
I think that there are just as many people that would do anything for anyone.
I think that there are just as many soul mates...
...just as many happily ever afters
...just as many random acts of kindness
...just as many people that have a genuine care for all the people they have never even met.
I think love it taken for granted
...not cherished
...not slowed down

*That's why we can't see it...
