Dancing freely between shades-of-gray thoughts,
they are not me.
I am the stage on which they act their role.
Laugh at their voice,
serene bliss-filled peace lay amid mindsets.
Childish antics
play their someday-one day game all in vain,
and would rather suffer than lose themselves.

*Cavatina:
The Italian form consists of a ten (10) syllable non rhyming line alternating with a four (4) syllable rhyming line, at least three (3) times and completed with a ten syllable line couplet.

I had some help with this one, I borrowed some phrases from E. Tolle

Standing, on the other side of lonely
looking in
waiting,like a becalmed sailor
for the wind
looking , for a reason not to shed
another tear
feeling like a paper doll tossed
by the wind

But those long goodbyes
are taking up our time
bring forth all your tears
those long goodbyes
strain our two lives
desperately , clutching the years

Talking,to help myself remember
who I am
Journeys a thousand miles out and back
I've been
discovering, what a loss and what a fool
I've been
hoping, for redemption and another
invite in

But those long goodbyes
keep taking up our time
bring forth all your tears               x2
those long goodbyes
straining our lives
desperately, clutching the years

Seeing, you standing in my doorway
once again
knowing, that this is exactly where
you should have been
touching, softly kissing the one that
I've missed
loving,for forever it's always
where we've been

But those long goodbyes
keep taking up our time
bring forth all your tears
those long goodbyes
straining our lives
desperately clutching the years      X2
a new one for the upcoming album.

Don't judge a book by its cover.
Almost everyone I know
Has a smile on their face
But deep down
They're sad.
Even if they've tricked themselves into thinking otherwise.

What a beautiful world,
she whispered to the sky.
The media gives us one idea,
of what us girls should be,
yet we're always told we should be ourselves.
But society prevents that doesn't it?

What a beautiful world,
she said a little louder to the clouds.
People are cruel and vicious,
they seem to sink their teeth into innocents,
and tear lives apart.
To make themselves feel better.

What a beautiful world,
she yelled to the darkening sky.
The lives we lead are full of choices and challenges,
and people and notions go out of their way to ruin us,
and we are expected to pull through and make a life for ourselves.
But it isn't easy.

What a beautiful world,
her voice screamed with the wind.
This torrent of emotions,
can make or break a person,
and when someone plays to hurt someone.
The emotions shut them down.

What a beautiful world,
she cried with the rain.
The tears she cries,
will go unseen for they mix with the rain,
and the rain is the bigger problem.
Not the damage done to the girl's mind.
I might do another poem with the title "What a Beautiful World" except then the world will actually be beautiful.

Maybe Apples and Peaches this year,
Strawberries for sure.
So patiently the tender buds
await to grow.

And Volunteers are peeking through,
awakened from their quiescency,
where they performed their subtle dance
neath the Winter snow.

Chives and Thyme and Lavender,
Rosemary, Parsley, and Sage.
All happy and warm and full of love.
Oh no! Where did the Oregano go?

Garlic tops and Lemon Balm,
more fragrant edible things
bring Peace to these troubled times.
For Peace, we all must sow.

*anyone know this style of poetry? I am having a hard time finding it.

This is the end of the beginning

The beginning of the end

Where it is you look back on

The future in which you stand

Where you also look forward

To where it is you've been

In the end of the beginning

The beginning of the end
In the unkept house,
Words are lost as doors open,
New dust coming in.

I remember seeing
Her slip ever so slightly
And fall
over
I remember watching
As she sped towards
the ground
crunch
I remember hearing
The sound of her
broken bones
shattering
Which sounded
at the same time
As my heart.

I remember tripping
Down the stairs
In my haste
crying
I remember holding
Her broken body
In my arms
"Come back!"
I remember her
eyes locking on to mine
For just a moment
Before they faded away....
*And I may love another
But never like her
No matter what happens, there'll always be a hole in my heart that she left
I miss her ;(

For six months
I stood by your side
Begging you to come back
Because I needed you
I loved you
I still do
And I need you.
You made my life complete
You made it actually MEAN something
A world where I was actually happy
And I would wait
Knowing that'd you'd recover
Because I was naive
But then you met Death
Cold, silent, and unfeeling
He took you away
And I've never been the same since.
*But I know, deep in my heart, that Heaven needed another angel, but I can't help but wish they could send you back just for a bit.
