I never looked both ways
             when I fell in love..

And was hit hard
                   bruised & cut
         I healed.

I looked both ways
              when I saw you
on the other side.

This time I waited.

       You asked me
               why I crossed this
road again?

And I said because if the
            chicken can do it..

With that she laughed.
      smiling she asked

"Would I cross any road,

I said, only yours to see what awaits
                                 on the other side

most people see me as
a happy person because
i laugh easily,
i smile a lot,
i joke a lot.

but deep down
in my heart,
i am fragile,
i can get hurt easily,
but i choose to not
show it to the world.

instead of being sad,
i choose to laugh to cover it.
maybe you can call me
"the queen of the mask"

by this,
you can tell
that most of the time
when I'm laughing,
I'm not really laughing,
i was trying so hard to hide
my sadness.

Eyes are the window to the soul,

But what if,

You don't have one of those?

If the world were perfect I wouldn't exist
Never would have met you or had our first kiss

Time flew by
When you
Placed your hand
In mine.
A smile
Would remain
The whole time.
Nothing could erase it.

My fingers danced
On yours,

Darkened skies
Said goodbye,
Sunlight out shined

The next moment,
I felt
Your comforting
Embrace
& love erased
Everything
