A jolt too, once in a while I like,
to **** me back to the center of my being,
she said, not always a flower I seek
though I appreciate a fragrant bloom
on a plant, no doubt about it.
Give me a pleasant surprise,
show me what I miss without fail,
let us be alert, to complete each other
push me out of complacency,
thus help me see more clearly.
Water my thirsty inner plants copiously
and see how happily they greet you
with flowers, buzz of bees and fragrance,
enjoy the dance with life even if
our steps falter a bit in the beginning
let the dogs bark, night be dark
winds blow heavy and strong,
let the change of weather never bother us,
moving forward is the order of nature.
Softly kiss my soul with  noble acts
it's not for here and now, but for
eternity to keep as a treasure incandescent.
Our moments collect in concentric rings about the nexus
Of a first embrace, adorned with Autumnal colors and scents -
We lovers blend, cupped gently below the stir of flecks and dapple.
Each leaf high up quivers in the bouquets and knows when to let go,
Fly and fall to earth.

Whispers from a rustling canopy climb down the bark encasements
Of these tall and somnolent trees, thirsty leaves that clatter and kiss,
Wink awake – brilliant – hold our gaze and suspend our hearts.
In a pirouette amidst the amity of recollection and premonition -
We shimmer in an iridescence of saffron on copper – remember this.

Moments light up, each one, for just an instant, the last of our lives;
Each conveniently the beginning of forever and forever smiles at us.
Rippling across the cycles of solstice and equinox, we radiate –
A nostalgic procession toward unmade memories, like tree rings.
We fly and fall in love.
Do You Remember Me?

while the warmth of the sunlight's kiss
in the ascent of the blissful morning
approach the beauty of your crimson lips?

Do You Remember Me?

in the rise of the bright moon?
like your eyes when you look through mine
the pair I hope to see soon

Do You Remember Me?

when floods of rain starts to pour?
like my eyes that shed endlessly
with tears of pain I cannot endure

Do You Remember Me?

have you ever even thought of me?
or was I just another moment
to pass on by so carelessly?
Help me remember to forget

Truth is, there is nothing poetic about sadness, anger or numbness.

It's your eyes looking at the faceless, and artificial sheen of objects around you. It is the sugar in cold coffee and tea settling at the bottom, as your thoughts flit in and out of your eye-lashes.

Hoping you can still be tied at the very jaggered edges of this universe.

& yet, we write anyway.
For the truth we hide, hide and never seek will be black, navy, blue on those blank pages.
Funny how we reinforce  our words by placing a synonym in front of it.
Hey hey lovely reader!
How are  you today?

You keep running, I keep chasing...

I look at photographs of us to remind me of the love I have and the love you shared. Six years running.
Little things like the scent of your perfume as I pass a beauty shop makes me promise to never give up. This, my heart must bear.
Just like Jenny made Forrest Gump.

So you keep running, and I keep chasing you...

You say you love me. So much, that if I died, you couldn't live.
But you never stay for long by my side before you're gone again.
"You don't have to run. Just jump in, I'll give you a ride."

But you keep running, and I keep driving alongside...

Quivering amber-green eyes, afraid of staring back, glance serenely into me, gently.
She speaks somber, softly, and quickly. "I love you. Help me run, one day, you can escape from me."

Yet she keeps running, and I keep chasing her.

The diagnosis she has is an unstoppable fear.
She doesn't need to run, she just needs her home and to stop diving into tears.
The dream she shared of us together, the one she is looking for.
Every morning I pray she finds it at the finish line.

So after six years, she stops to let me hold her in my arms.
If it happens, I will never let go.
There is no "double you".
What's current is a stream
Of tears.
As the water falls so do the years.
The trickling time plays tricks.
That it never played when we were kids.
Money was useless on the river banks.
The **** water was rich in memories.
When we were water babies.

When the skies filled with tears we would wash away our fears.
Running in the rain we were only running from our pain.
We forgot about the ifs and maybes.
We were water babies.

All the waves and the smiles.
They were ****** into viols.
We had to spare them for the weekends "you're now a school child" We once.
Were water babies

So the tide raged on and so did our teenage hormones. For 'the thirst' can i get some...
Water, Baby.
Just an analogy of life and how we lost the plot when we decided to "grow up"... The structure of the poem is testament to the fact that life gets shorter (the stanzas decrease in length as the poem progresses). The aquatic theme is borrowed from someone I deeply care about, she who is as pure as water itself. Okay okay enough explaining. Bleh :')

I'll let you figure out the rest for yourself. Enjoy

Emancipation comes to mind
in *******...
The freedom to be bound
lies within...
Unicorns don't exist.
Because sometimes just the idea is enough.
My first attempt at a 10w.
Free to interpretation.
To lose what I've gained would be such a wonderful thing.
Losing is winning
