What silence is this that aches my body?
*Fallen misfortune lade bare

Wanting to set sail one day.
Shadows looming in the sky
And a teardrop runs it's course,
A story to tell each inch of the way.
Left with only memories to hold me
Tonight, these pictures on the wall can talk
And I will lie down and weep.
Point this ship home
Show the way through the dark
And I will leap and touch the stars.
The hurt is deep
And though I fall sometimes
Letting go is all that matters now.
Take me home
Where everything feels right
Take..me..home..
This silence is too painful to my soul
Empty rooms and blank faces are all that surrounds.
I've cried my share and begged my way through life
**Just..take..me..home..

Endless time and space
*Infinite

Unknown
Lost in the void.
Time begins to slow
Words begin to form
And my eyes begin to see.

As the tides rise and the ground quakes
In my eyes, a moment of clarity.
Words tumble from our mouths
Sounding trumpets declare war.

Where were you when the walls came down
As the waves buried our dreams and
The heavens took our souls?
Shed the skin
Layers on layers.
Our lives,
Written with blood
Pages on pages.
Under dying stars
Our voices fade
And all that remains
Is the sound of drums.

Looking out the window
Looking into your soul.
Music, the mind can play
To the sound of burning stars.
As a minstrel plays
A song to heal your scars.
Hollow, void, my mind
Silent as the night
You found your way out of my heart.
On a park bench I sit,
Watching the world move too fast.
As salted dreams graze my cheeks
Silently I weep.
Sing minstrel,
So the pain I may forget
And these scars may fade with time.

If words fail
And in your eyes I'm just an empty book
Pages upon pages blank
And my mind is but a withering leaf.
If words fail
And my eyes cannot tell you what I feel.
If the rain could hide my tears
And my lips quivered with the mention of your name.
If words fail
And if a blue jay cannot sing to the beautiful day
If your voice could softly say
How my dreams have always been about you.
If words fail
And I cannot speak what I mean to
Hold my hands and feel my heart beat
Because nothing could keep me away from you.

Silent deeds are like whispered echoes.
In a hallway of mirrors
Its not just your image reflected,
As even echoes become a part of your symphony.
Saint or a sinner,
Your song to sing.
Even a single ray of light,
Can show someone their way home.

Will your mind open to the unknown?
As an open road softly calls.
Join, in wonder
Oh weary pilgrim.
This life is yet to unravel.
As my knees give in to the weight of the world.
These burdens shall leave their mark on my doorstep
Shining glory of a path I forgot.
Like paradise sought and found
Silent whispers void of desolation.
Idle, pretentious, scared to wander.
This universe shall leave you in awe,
Untangle yourself from your web of lies.
Oh weary pilgrim,
Lend me your mind,
As an other world reveals
Thoughts unhindered.
