1.You run fire though your hands as if
a. Water never scared you
b. You could free anyone
c. Chains were meant to be shattered
2. Baby glue your heart back together first
3. You once caressed every star in the palm of your hand
4. Now you won’t even look at the sky
5. I see leftover debris on your shoulders
6. Small moons swim in your eyes
7. You think sunlight will never ring the doorbell
8. Or glint on your doorstep
9. But I planed enough trees on your lawn
10. That the sun will have to show up at some point soon
11. Wear your shirts a little looser
12. The rustic patterns are starting to fall off slowly
13. Let them; they’re only stitched up stories from the past
14. Ones you refused to sling over your shoulder and trash
15. Baby start taking out the trash
Lend me your smile,
stay here awhile,
don't ever defile
this embrace.

Capture my kiss,
The world is amiss,
Sunsets of missing
your face.

Beauty inside,
your laughter a ride,
hands coincide,
Possessive, and rough.

Awestruck, but scared,
Pricked, but repaired
The needle, she cared
I wasn't enough.

Sick with stronghold,
a promise so bold
someday, we'd grow old,
without interruption.

The voice in my ear,
no words, no tears,
your fragrance--not here,
her final consumption.

Time wanderer,
Life ponders,
Love fonder
but lost.

Since your goodbye,
no alibi,
plagued by
mental holocaust.
This poem is dedicated to the love I lost and will never get back to the love I exchanged for so much. I love you James Edmond and will never forget you baby. Today I am almost a year clean, and you would be so proud. I miss your scent of happiness and your smile of ecstasy.
You painted canvases in my lungs.
The pictures are literally breathtaking.
It's

             hard

                                 to

                                                   b r e a t h e,

even a little, tiny bit.
Paintings in my lungs make it hard to breathe..
Its that kind of love that stops everything around you. You're frozen in time, every breath you take is tasted to the most inner depths of its existence and its that love that hurts you so much that when air enters your feeble lungs, there is a piercing pain like no other.. yet you still come for more.
Just some flowers from the garden of my mind..

Us
I keep trying to write
About us mostly
But i cannot
Fathom words
To tell about
This feeling in my chest
And this wrenching of my gut
And how the idea of
This nausea
Is so good
And i cannot
Write into life
How my skin is bursting
When i read your name
Or when i see you
And feel you
And how everything
Every being
Every particle
Every small microscopic
Atomic
Piece of me
Is whispering
Your name
You can't hold her
When you grip tight
She will
Slip
Like sand
Falling through the tiny cracks
In between each finger
You can try
But every time
Your hand will end up
Empty
White knuckles
Snatching up
The air
Nothing else
For she
Alone
Holds herself together
Pieces of string
Globs of glue
Strips of duct tape
Hastily slapped on
Her two hands
Alone
Pull and
Cover and
Push away

There is no room
For
You
You struggle so much just to talk to me. because you don't want to make me mad or upset by just disappearing. You get angry with your computer and internet just to talk to me. Or are you angry with the fact that I can't be there? So you struggle. Just for me.
Because I love my boyfriend. And this is what he does. So every once in a while I come to realize how much more I love him in a second.
Five years
Eleven cries
Don't go now
Don't let it die

A thousand years,
Two-hundred cries,
It's never gone,
But it nearly dies.
Brigitte and Aiden again
Watch me then
Watch me now
Your silence is soft
But silence is loud.
Another poem from Eternal.
Eyes of new and old,
As deep as the sea,
Golden eyes as cold,
As eyes that watch over me.

Meet me there.
Run across the track.
I never watch you leave,
Please, come back.
Brigitte's poem about Aiden. This is the first poem in my book Eternal.
