There are so many people out there

I lost my grandma several days ago
Not to be sad was a hard task
Especially in this melancholic pandemic
Rare are the things that make me happy
Vast are the emotions that I want to escape
At last, I don’t want to associate death to pain

To keep a distance
from people you used to love

I want a love that can trascends earth
that is able to travel to Mars
An outside of this world love
Where we could live on a deserted planet
Only us

Astronauts will be stupfied
Because what we have inside of us
has never been proven before
Two hearts not related to each other
but attached by an invisible wire
Beating with the same intensity
We'll mix Earth and Mars into this infinite universe

Our lives have changed since then
As Lebanese
as human beings
Our perspective
How we see ourselves
Our priorities
Our family
Our friends
It became a hyperreal country
Something that has control
over us
that drag us down
make us suffer
It is a tragedy
that keeps returning
It is a cycle
that our grandparents passed through
Our parents
And now us
But if we leave?
What are we considered?
You are not giving up if you escape
You still care
You still love
But that isn’t enough
Your trust is broken
You’ve been betrayed
How do you maintain a relationship with a country
that uses violence in all of its types and
then convinces you that it loves you, it needs you
that will change someday?
Your soul needs comfort
Your body needs affection
Your mind needs safety
You need to see a future
where you can live, breathe, fulfill dreams
Not just survive!

Sometimes
The love we feel inside
doesn't know
how to manifest itself

You should always
seek refuge in yourself
not in others

If we share the same weather
Would I feel more close to you?

What if
I wanted to be an adult
But an adult with some human qualities
I don't want to go to work
If I woke up unable to breath, speak or walk

Adulthood is an illusion just like love
Being an adult will not make you braver
You still have all the feelings and the fears of your childhood
But you know how to hide them

We have always convinced ourselves that we have feelings for someone when we didn't
And we always hid the true sentiments for someone that we aren't suppose to fall in love with

In 60 days
I tried my best to rediscover
my country Lebanon
It was weird
to experience
the other side
that I didn’t see before
the side
where everything is okay
where youth still governed an
important part of society
But most of all
to see how your school friends
have blossomed into mentally mature human beings
who aren’t afraid to show their fragile souls to the world

This time
I wanted to feel everything
feel the heat
feel the human interaction
feel the pain, the sadness of leaving
but also feel the joy
of recovering from insignificant
and useless scars

How much
was it important
To change your room,
your wall hangings
the ideas in your mind
but to keep your childhood
best friends close
no matter the distance
and no matter the time

Beginnings are the things that we should always search for

They feed you
With negative energy
And You’ll end up feeling like nothing

Let go
of what keeps
your human roots
stuck to the ground

Let go
and liberate yourself
You deserve better my dear
Second chances are not always
worth the try

Just remember that even a movie
sequel is worse than the original

I was always fascinated with words
The way they could change you
And let you see other people
In ways you never thought were possible

Do not conform
to a world
that constantly tries
to define you,
by your age,
your level of education,
your earnings,
and where you come from

Life is not a script that we should follow
But a story that we should write

We need to take care of ourselves
not matter how hard it is seems
It doesn't have to be majestic
It should get ugly
Because starting something new
isn't easy, it is terrifying
But trust me when you get there
it's worth it
It's a lot of work
But think of how much you need it
How much it is important to your soul,
to your body, to your confidence
You're not alone in this
Everything takes time
Look around you
Even nature takes time to grow
Do not expect progress to
happen suddenly

For what counts is our
