This isn't any sort of poem, just a thank you to everyone who has followed me and who supports my poetry. I've been on Hello Poetry for exactly a year, and It has been so much fun to interact with other poets and to read everyone's amazing work. I hit 101 followers yesterday and it my not seem like a lot to some people, but i love each and every one of you peeps! You're all wonderful, and awesome, and feel free to message me anytime! Who am I?

I realized today
I was just a guy
Walking in mountain suburbs
In a black t shirt
And blue jeans

A purpose to this life
I have not yet found it
It seems

Is life real
Or am I just
Living in a dream?

I came across a black dog
By the yard fence

I came to close to pet it
But thought again
And made the right decision
By not sticking my hand in

Good bye doggie
I think I said in my head

And tonight I am thankful
To sleep in my warm bed

I wonder why can't I write, such beautiful lines of letters.
Taking breaths, Inspiring others; With re-arranged words,
My work just suffers.

I'm fine with rhymes like time and dime, but beautiful lines
to make one cry, can never appear no matter how hard I try.

Have I given up? Maybe, but I've become numb to failure
I've forgotten all the critics, because I'm my own biggest hater.

I stood around the corner for so long
always a little detached from myself
waiting for the stars to align
and a number of other nonessentials
it took a minor miracle to shift me
to move into forward gear
realise my dreams as I travelled onward
gone around the corner, finally

looking into another's eyes
is most mystical

catching a Tiger looking at you
is something quite different

and if it isn't
re-think your options

I scrabble around my nothingness
until I accept
then all is calm waters
and I wait for love
