You were born from stardust
That makes you a star
You are a brilliant light
That shines endlessly
Through the night
You are a wish
Somebody's first oppurtunity
Somone's last chance
You are a guide
To those lost
Down on the Earth's surface
Who just want to go home
You are a star
And stars only have a certain
Amount of time before
The pressure builds up and you
Explode

You are a star
And you are home now

These questions throughout ages
Have set our greatest quest
Searching for a path
That continues beyond death
It appears the nature of our soul
Is to bring forth good intentions
To overcome the barriers
Of our mind's misled inventions
These lessons can't be taught
By the words of some great teacher
Or by walking in the steps
Of some over zealous preacher
The experience of the knowing
Is an empirical gather wisdom
Guided by the universe
For those who've learned to listen...

Tick hour, I'm not afraid of you.
The courtyard's grey and full of silence,
Maybe someone will cross in your time,
But I already made my way to my towerlet,
Perched inside the treasure holder, letter shelves,
Deep within the library.
Others have come, inmobile in you
Typing, eyes skitting, nestled feathers on sofas,
Just like me, but ignoring you.
Tick then! Who am I to care,
The morning's mine to flirt with
And you don't even know about the afternoon.
There are no clocks here except the ones
We choose to see, and no one makes that choice
Here, except accidental numbers on a computer screen.
So tick, fearless warrior,
I'm a vestige of speed in distance
- I'm scurrying away with thoughts
And you have no power here.

The Ego

Wonders what you may think of me
Did you feel it? A slight tremor in the puddle of consciousness
I! ME! MY!
Mother and father. School. Society.
Impressively the walls were built
Brick by brick lain in ignorance.
It is just that subtle. The voice whispering in the mind
Who are you?
Enlightened to my own selfishness
A sense of meaninglessness
I shall overcome. I will walk the path of my choosing, and if any other (soul) shall join me I will share my allotted portion of love that this universe has granted me
The ego shed
IwasworriedaboutajobandagirlfriendandifImattertoanyoneatall
The walls crumble and I am free now to taste beauty of each moment.
Ego
Tonight i'll hold my tongue.
I'll bite my lip until it bleeds.
I will fall within your shadow.
Now, your ego can take the lead.
Scalpel to the eye
Will slice away my blindness
At least - some of it.
Waiting for eye surgery
All temazepam'd up but still terrified
Wish me luck!
One, two, three, four, five, six...
Counting the seemingly endless rows of happiness.
And seeing how the light dances off of your skin.
The breeze sweeping through your hair.
Eyes shining with the perfect tint of honey.
Lips curving sweetly with simplicity.
How you seem to be at ease.
Your breathing so calm and light.
Your heart, warm at my fingertips.
Your perfection overwhelms me.
But that's what makes me feel okay.
