Of the dark past
A child is born;
With joy and grief
My heart is torn.

Calm in his cradle
The living lies.
May love and mercy
Unclose his eyes!

Young life is breathed
On the glass;
The world that was not
Comes to pass.

A child is sleeping:
An old man gone.
O, father forsaken,
Forgive your son!
Strings in the earth and air
Make music sweet;
Strings by the river where
The willows meet.

There's music along the river
For Love wanders there,
Pale flowers on his mantle,
Dark leaves on his hair.

All softly playing,
With head to the music bent,
And fingers straying
Upon an instrument.

Where were we headed
When we left it all behind
The thunder of our youth
The hormones of our prime

Freely we roamed, ages so high
Scoffing at the idea of norm
Repetitive nuclear existence
Meaning grow up and conform

Wearing the blissfulness of denial
We disavowed the pure to defile
We refused the road of integrity
And shun the ways of longevity

And so we pay
As our bodies ailing age
Yet
How glorious were those days!
The murmuring grove all of a sudden
falls mute, as they enter
listens to their words, love prompted
in the distinct love dialect.
A red beaked parakeet watches her
without batting an eyelid,
the  ruddy cheeks and ruby lips of the girl,
all aglow as the golden rays of evening sun caresses;
feeling jealous, the parakeet makes a loud racket.
Much of the noises that animals and birds make is in the name of love;humans seems to be the only group that whisper sweet nothings, as they bill and coo.

Night listens to my dreams
And tells me what they mean
I dreamt the moon was blue
A wan and pallid hue
I'm told because of you

Dreams of sky in motion
Mirrored on the ocean
The dream it couldn't stay
The tide washed clouds away
I'm told pain comes in waves

I dreamt you turned to ice
The stars froze in your eyes
The shadow of the moon
Took you away too soon
I'm told love led to ruin

Two Words

Wolves howl
cats meow
people prowl.
Cigarette smoke
Facebook poke
me broke.
Blonde hair
blank stare
better beware.
Phone rings,
bee stings
needless things.
Darkened rooms
evil looms
life zooms.
Authors write
feeling light
future bright.
Forget past
never last
happens fast.
Bloods red,
damaged head
you're dead.
today eyes found white clouds reading a little hard
monitor screen slightly remote prints a little blurred
gathered a few teardrops vision felt the pang of strain
it was then the mind drifted white clouds brought a rain!

from now on sunshine would not all be that bright
patch of crooked darkness would cry out for light
a curtain would come on way block the color's shade
things would no more look the way they are made!

the lens would not capture what's finer for eyes
beauties in smallness textures in disguise
blueness of sky the raw greenness of grass
would stale when looked through a pair of glass!

today white clouds brought the first layer of film
turned the nooks darker made daylight look dim
gathered a few teardrops vision felt the pang of strain
mind knew from now on life would not be same again!
when you lost your virginity,
i remembered you were slightly glowing
a halter neck dress under a fluorescent
light.
i didn't have any clothes on, just a brown blanket,
and your brother's
anger could almost be tasted drifting in the air
like snapping crocodiles.
what we really needed was more alcohol,
but our vaults we're empty,
so we settled with three embers burning brightly in the deepening night
and the boy upstairs struggled to find his pants.
