Until the day breaks
The moon will rise and
End with the crickets
"I will stay."
I really wanted to try a poem like this where the first words in each line spell out a sentence.
the root tree
i saw a  cloud
changing
yah it is a  haiku in my mind hahahahah
from the western sky
drifted in promising clouds
yet they held no rain
Upon these strings you tug
on me, you are a puppeteer
always pulling on my limbs
moving me, pushing me to
the floor.

But still I rise,
I never fall too far
from a stable place,
stumbling but still
I rise and shine like
a star crossing the night sky
leaving my dreams behind.

Upon the setting sun
I slowly rise beyond
the pitch black of the sky
burning bright for all to see.

I bow in my orbital frame
smiling for you and all
who gaze upon my
dusty surface.

Some days I am swimming,
most days I am sinking.
There is never a day where I
can simply just float.
