You do not want a poem, note, rose laid at your feet,
But i write for the You, i know is deserving of everything this pen can muster

You are the opening of the dawn, taking it's time as it opens up the sky,
Entirely illuminating the spaces it can find,
Filling it with love, Joy only the dawn can bring

I know, i know,
you are still tiptoeing through the maze that shapes into circles, hills and valleys,
At the heart of each puzzle, your pen will unravel

As you glide on the summer winds into the orchestra of stringed anthems,
You are loved by the minds, eyes that feast on your words, voice and the in-between.
Chasing after rainbows at midnight

Greeting the morning barefoot

Letting my smile linger a second longer

Than any conversation

Collecting fortune cookie fortunes in my back pocket

Believing the world is more beautiful at dusk

Recite my dreams in two second poems

Watch the city breathe

Collecting the lights in my hands

Setting them free in my closet

I will paint this city in my rules

Live within my own lines

Ponder a second too long on the ridiculous

Greet this life with a mischief smile and open arms
our love is like trying to keep long, free hair
from tickling your face.

our love, darling, is like the stickiness of dough sticking to your fingers before you make your baked treat.

our love is messy, yes. crazy at times? absolutely.
but it yields the most beautiful and fun amazing moments.

i know that it's selfish of me to dream
of you as my one and only. but i
can't seem to stop thinking

if you think of these things as yours truly,
a girl who can't get over you,
seeing you as her one and
only person.

When the sun brings the light after dawn
Your hair billows in the yellow sunshine and pale clouds
The stars light up a yawning night hid by the moon
If your smile were not lovely, I would be led aswoon
You are the only light I see in my dreams
That arises like dulcet tones of a lark to day
And sets like the blue tide on the bay
Some love poetry.

There's fruit floating in your red wine
Bobbing up and down
Drifting around
Swimming through this town

One of them is me
A single mango cube
Soaking in the deep red drug
Waiting to be plucked and cleaved
Beneath your lipstick lips,
By teeth

The palm trees sing a soothing song
They cannot see our skeletons
They cannot see our pasts, the breeze
It pushes us along with ease

So nevermind this silly thing
I'm dipping out and diving in
Vacation calls, vacation calls
I'm never coming back.
I think it's a dumb poem
