psilocybin
                 made me a better student,
                 son, brother, friend,
                          person.
So why would it
             make me a disgrace
                       to my
parents?

Wrapped tight
As though
It would help
Me feel
Everything a little
Better
But it was all
*Breath-taking.

oh me oh my
I could write
a thousand worded
poem explaining why
your existence was
important and how
your mind was
irrevocably a painted
picturesque theme.

I could look
you in the eye,
lie and say
I'm happy for
her
I'm happy for
you, but
who am I
to tell her
all the lies
you have undoubtedly
committed?

I cannot deny
the green demons
that lurk in
my eyes
but I can,
although it is not
mine to give,
an apology
and you the will to live.

Instead I can
rebuild walls,
lie to the eye,
turn blue eyes green,
but I cannot
feel sorry for you,
only for me.
Because it was me who fell for you, and her I chose not to warn.

Raw flesh drenched in alcohol
Burning numbing till paralyzed, keeps me still
Power you have over my being, keeps me fearing

Your presence destroys me, shatters me
Feeling naked, inadequate when my eyes see
My reflection's negation in you
Cannot hide anything when you expose all of me

Wounded animal beaten without avail
Knowing, proprietor of my pain
You don't understand my whimper, wail?
My blood being diluted by the sweat of your laborious efforts
Precociously tactful, inhumanly strangling my will

Ever-becoming antithesis to facades, fears, farces in me
Facing scalpels and clamps to my insecurities, my tactics, my pride
Leaving me open not caring if I'll die from exposure
Caring only that you're exposing the real me

I-nvoluntarily l-acerated, o-n the v-erge of e-nding u-ndone
Somberly Always Unsettling Leaving me bare

Deeper than the heart—
Of a burning yellow star,
Stranger than the quarks
Between galaxies afar—
So fatal is my love for her.

While the lift was on the 7th floor, she entered
The dragon tattoo on her hand caught my eye
I complimented on it and she gave a smile
Then I told "I got a dragon too and it's hidden, Do you wanna see it?"
Next thing I knew My left cheek turned red

Darling, It's on the back of my neck
