Say my name
Say it gently
Use your words
To caress me
Speak your thoughts
Speak them out loud
Confess your love
Amidst the crowd
Scream your wishes
Scream your dreams
Make your reality
Better than it seems
Whisper your pain
Whisper your fears
Release the tension
Wipe away your tears
Open your mind
Open up wide
Let my love in
Let me inside
"Forget her," he said

"Like waves forget the
sand on the beach when
tide goes out. Like dew
drops forget moonlight
when a sunbeam makes
them blush in the morning."

But I am not as forgetful as water.
I am a tree standing tall in an orchard
with snow around my ankles and my limbs
shivering in shirtsleeves but I won't for a minute
forget the springtime. Or the sunshine and how she
danced through it underneath me. I will always remember
that summer we spent in fields together laughing at
dragonflies lighting on nettles and catching the
warm breeze in our hair. She was a fully
shaken Polaroid. A postcard.
A Memoir.
Lonely and confused,
Too many toes.
My calls with no returns,
Too many toes.
What has become of him,
Nobody knows,
Besides maybe Ms. Toomanytoes.
Only communication,
He says he's locking the door,
And goodnight - I don't know him anymore.
Too many toes,
I come to find,
When I fight for love just one last time.
Top of the morning, I do recall;
There were no warning calls, no none at all.
Too many toes,
I find after the dogs greet me,
The only two in that room that truly loved thee.
My senses are the guide;
The room still dark.
Too many toes,
I reach for him once more,
with fingers and heart...
Too many toes!
The feeling of betrayal fills my veins,
my lungs, next into my heart
I would have fought for him forever,
If it wasn't for finding ten too many,
******* toes.
