everytime i close my eyes i feel you leave me for her
all over again.
she's your rose
but you turned her white petals
r e d
soaked in her own blood
her pedals ruined because of your words
because of your actions
but she stayed with you because you torture her stem
spraying her with what she thought was water but in fact was
p o i s o n
and one day you grab her wrong and get pricked by her mighty thorns
and after everything
you leave her
with her blood soaked rose petals
and poison stem
never trust a poet's words
they sound sweet at first
but you'll notice the emotion in their words
it all sounds too...
fake
"i love you like the sea loves the shore"
becomes too scripted
you hear the small tinge of love actually left in their voice
hoping
hoping it could mean something
but it doesn't
it never does
it's just the way they say it
one day, after they have left
you will find their poems, and they will be the exact words that they had said to you
once long ago
please understand this poem is in a way just me talking to myself, reminding me to not trust a man who i once loved, thank you

An idiot is harmless,
Until that idiot falls in love,
Then they’re willing to do anything,
For the person they’re in awe of.

Whether its building a new world,
Or burning the old one down,
They’ll stop at nothing,
To give their love a crown.

Now if that love fades,
And they are left weeping,
They could take one of two paths,
Both will leave an empty heart unsleeping.

Path one is war and rampage,
Destroy everything in their way,
Path two is depression and tears,
They may cause their own doomsday.

Either way an idiot is harmless,
Until that idiot falls in love,
And if you happen to cross that idiot,
Beware for they do not care, they are deprived of---------
i might be an idiot in love.
Hi gorgeous, I haven't met you yet but I've known you for a life time
I think about you 24/7 through the day and night time
I came here to talk because I know you'll listen
You gave me the type of gift that doesn't come on Christmas
The proudest moment of my life
The happiest I'll ever be
And I'll shield you from the world and make sure that you'll never be
Tainted
Stained by the evil we call life
I lost your Aunt and saw nothing but darkness
And the thought of you brings me light
I can't wait to meet you baby girl
I'm so excited
I don't even know your name yet
I'll be there every step of the way, from first steps, to framed awards
I'll be there when you're bored or when you're feeling discouraged
Dad will be there to give you some courage
I'm here to make sure you achieve everything you aspire for
To be ions better than me
You're so pure
I can't believe I made you
Whenever you're falling down I'll always be there to save you
I'll fight the world for my baby girl
Just to see your smile will make it worthwhile
As I'm writing this, I'm shedding tears of joy
I never knew I could make someone so perfect
The happiest moment of my life
As I get closer to meeting you I become more nervous
I know I'm not perfect but you are
You deserve nothing less than a perfect father
A guideline to steer you to greatness
Someone to lay the foundation to your road to greatness
I knew you before you did
Crazy right?
I really love you little one
I daydream about you smile everyday
Please don't smile at me baby
You'll make your Dad melt away
I don't think I can take that type of pressure
And I'll make sure your parents get it together
Little one I'll have your back until your little ones have little ones
I promise I'll never leave you helpless
I'll always be here for you
I love you little one
how do you
keep your
sanity tact?

I don't.
I let it out
like a
volcanic eruption,
in furtive ways;
like killing someone
a million times
within your mind
Why Men Cry in the Bathroom

For so many reasons.
I will tell you the why.
I think you know,
Or perhaps, you think you know.

Men are always O.K.,
Even when not.

We expect the worse,
Accept the worse,
Nonetheless,
We are forever unprepared.

Wearily, we cry,
In the bathroom, in private,
Lest sighs slip by,
We be unmasked,
Early warring, strife signs warning.

Copious, tho we weep
Before the mirror confessor,
It is relief untethered,
Unbinding of the feet,
An uncounting
Of beaded rosaries,
Of freshly fallen hail stones,
Of night times terrors
By dawn's early edition's light,
and welcomed.

But look for the mute tear,
The eye-cornered drop,
*** tat, that never drops,
But never ceases formation and
Reforming, over and over again,
In a state of perpetuity of reconstitution,

The tippy tear of an iceberg revealing,
And I see you peeping, wondering,
What is beneath

Look for:
the torn worm-eaten edges of spirit,
thrift shop bought, extra worn,
grieving lines neath the eyes,
where the salt has evaporated,
discolored the skin.
worry lines,
under and above,
browed mapped, furrowed boundaries.
the laugh line saga,
where better days are stored,
recalled, as well as recanted,
publicly, privately.

Why just men?

I don't know,
Perhaps,
it is all I know.

your effusive and lengthy comments are each a poem in their own right.
