Small and petite,
Yet so sweet.
Kind and thoughtful,
Never awful.

But I wonder...
What secrets lie behind that smile of hers?

What did she went through?
What did she had to hide?
How much did she grew?
How much did she suffer on the ride?

Everyone's always looking for her help,
As if she were the problem-solving elf.
But who does she find,
When things start to get out of her mind?

When she gave them her sweet smile,
I wonder.
Is she fine?

Smiling wide,
Talking polite.
Standing tall,
In the ball.

Eyes sparkling,
Oh, what a darling.
Yet a mystery,
With such a history.

The newlyweds stood next to each other,
Smiling widely as they finally came together.
Fingers entwined,
As their thoughts unwind,
Of how strong their love is for one another.

But far away,
By the cake display,
There stood their friend,
Who had attended, but otherwise pretended.

As she watched, her thoughts went wild,
But she managed to put on a bittersweet smile.
She's happy for them,
Together they shine like a stunning gem.

But she can't shake it off,
The feeling that made her go soft,
When she realised she would never be like them.

Never,
Ever,
In
A
Million
Years.

Well, that was before he came along.
He came into her life pretty strong,
His laughs as sweet as a song,
And when she laughed along,
It was the greatest singalong.

When I’m not there,
Would someone care,
And notice that I’m gone?

Would someone think of me?
Miss me?
And if so, who?

Would someone do anything just to hear me,
With that voice like the waves of the salty sea?
Would they stack a gazillion files,
Just to reach me on my mountain to see my smile?

Would someone’s chest be an empty black void,
And feel like they’re being toyed?
Cause I’m gone, not there,
For them to smile at and stare.

And when I'm there,
Which one of them would care,
And have a glow so bright,
That could light up the darkest night?

But who?
And if there was someone,
Would I think of them like that too?

It’s crazy how a moment with you,
The ones that has no rhyme or tune,
Can turn into a memory.
And how that happens is a mystery.

One second we were in the moment,
And the next I could only lament.

You
Soft, dark ringlets,
Scattered across your brow.
Your hands covered in trinkets
And holding a soft linen gown.

A crooked smile on your face
And deep dark eyes ablaze.
You, with the tie of lace,
The greatest thing to gaze.
