The sound of your delicate voice still gently resonates in my ears, an infinite reverberation.

Sometimes I still feel your subtle, soothing, yet indescribably powerful and electrifying touch gliding upon my skin, reassuring me
that we will last a lifetime
and then some.

Now and then, a warm breeze swifts through the air.
A sweet aroma of calming familiarity, that only makes me think of you.

Often times I see little reminders of you;
bits and pieces of you that sneaked into my life that I had never noticed.

Every once in a while; a flavor that is closely acquainted with my under spoken tongue seems to find it's way back into my mouth, tasting like a sugary sweet, cooling and careless

piece of you.
I can't seem to get you out of my head..
thoughts on this poem would be greatly appreciated.

i write all day like an adult,
i am learned and i use big words
and i know how to accurately craft
a metaphor about pain and harm.

but at the end of the day
i return to childlike phrases,
“it’s not fair,” and i feel more
of a release from that than
a composition notebook
filled from cover to cover
with a million different ways
of saying that i still,
despite everything,
am not happy.

Walk a mile or two from highway down
A school was located in a small town
Summer was very hard to miss
Sun soared up, to give a kiss
Little children came out to play
In break of a boring long day

Evening, teddy bears were sold
Outside the gate, by a man old
Big and small, brown, grey, white
In a black robe for dollars five
One day, kids hit him with a rock
"Defected teddies!", old man they mock

Anger ensued in the mister seller
Love for the kids or rage dweller?
He waited for kids to be good
But long can he live w/o food?
Hurt was his enormous heart
Revenge was this day to start

He picked a knife and killed em kids
Tiny, little, small ****** bits
Tortured, butchered and slaughtered
To hell, the revenge was offered
Stuffed body pieces in big cotton teddy
Killed himself that day very

Years went by, in blink of an eye
Stories told of how kids die
School shut down, high inflation rate
Loud painful noises heard till date
Entrance had tall gates of metal
Midnight, hinges creaking sound settle

Souls of notorious kids scream
"Wake us from this horrendous dream"
They know not they are just ghosts
Hanging in teddy bears, from tree host
And there below sits the old man, black cloaked
Killing new passing kids, in teddies blood soaked
Passing by a park, we happened to have come across hawkers selling teddy bears hanging from a tree. Creepy visual led to writing a horror story.

do you know how deep
how deep
deep
deep
this love was for me

do you know there's no sleep
no sleep
sleep
sleep
while you comfortably dream of me

I noticed how short your nails were
and that you tried to brush out the cow licks in your hair
and I noticed how you grind your teeth when you dream
and how you would jump at the slightest sound
and I noticed that your favorite colors were blue and black and green.

but you only noticed how pink my lips were
and you only noticed how soft my knees were
and you only noticed how I would give you anything if you didn't ask
and you only noticed what you wanted to know and not what you wanted to wonder

but i wonder if you felt the scars on my thighs as you slid your hand passed them
and i wonder if you heard the nervous chuckles when i came up for air
and i wonder if you remember that my eyes are blue and green and my heart is black and i wanted to be your favorite because parts of me are broken and i wanted you to wonder why.
As the colours of your eyes dripped off my fingertips
And into the air
I sighed
They are grey again
Why are you grey again?
I thought you were over feeling empty

Give me a minute
To read the stars
Lamenting in their stories
Their laboured twinkling far and sparse

Give me this moment
To stumble and swoon
My branches reaching for
The faraway moon

Give me a while
To be one with the universe
Hear the colliding planets
As they spill their mournful verse

Give me some time
To plot my rightful place
Within my uncharted galaxy
And collapsing space...
