Sands blow across the endless dunes,
does anyone hear them?

Spiders stay in dead centre;
feeling for the slightest tug.
Butterflies meet then part;
flying around flowers.
I sit, and they watch;
Giant in the garden.

Afflictions of the past
wrapped in the world of chaos
and cramped in a cave

I lost a wonderful friend today,
From the nursing home I volunteer at,
I'll always remember one thing she used to say,
"Stop all your worry and just pray."

Closed books left unread
memories lashed to the mast of, forget
the smooth transformation between
a moment ago and, now,
all seems real to the senses.
And when they no longer work;
Know that you are dead.
