You are my addiction, my own brand of *******
To think of life without you is worse than any physical pain
You are the air that I breathe and yet you are suffocating me
I love you, but at the end of the day, you will never see

You ripped my heart out the moment our eyes met
And with each word you bury it
I’m screaming in agony at my hearts grave
For it is only you that I can save

You are the only one with enough of me to break my heart
You are holding my entire existence in your hands and ripping it apart
The crushing force of your grip is enough to shatter me
I am broken beyond repair and unable to flee

America
A place of contradictions
A place where some are free but others
Seem to just want to be let be

America
Where any are allowed to practice what they want
Unless someone else doesnt like it
Then they are told Stop! or its a crime they commit

America
A place where equality has always been hard
For those who are "unnatural"
But all that those who are "normal" do
Is leave the "unnatural" scarred

America
Where someones race, sexuality, religion or gender
Defines who they are and what they are worth
Where prejudice is practiced and embraced
Where life is meaningless until birth

Welcome to America.
But Beware.
