They’ll be rockin’ in Heaven
Down St. Peter’s Gate Way.
Chuck Berry passed over,
But he still can play.

True King of Rock,
He’ll live for evermore.
And he’ll keep duck walking,
Along that golden shore.

His guitar keeps twanging,
Wah wah tlang tang tang.
Ya want a Showman?
Chuck’s still yer man.

He died at ninety.
It was very sad.
But now he’s up there,
I’m sure that God is glad.

He’ll love that Rock N Roll Music,
Chuck’s sense of humour too.
A touch of Devil also,
When he sings the blues.

So all you Saints and Angels,
You better move and hurry,
For they all want to dance with
That amazing Chuck Berry.

When all that is left
is feeling hurt
When it's the only song
you have ever learned
when it's the only tune
you have ever heard

Can you let it go?

Someone once said to me
Let it go, let them free
but they come back,
can't you see?

Should I let them go?

When I let them go
They still follow me
I tried to free them
but can't you see?

They came back to me

and I can't let them go

Oh no,
Oh no!

I won't let them go

Oh no

I won't

Let them go, let them go

Oh no...

When I'm the only light
they have ever known
The only place
they ever called home
When I'm the one
they miss the most

**I won't let them go
I miss my Son so much...
With each advent of sun-showered lemon
wonderment happens,
a springing of close-coloured denseness
floods valley and field.

Local daffodil time opens frilly with captured
scents of happiness,
jam-packed with massed heads all nodding
welcome gilt greetings.

A yearly looked-for experience is this, so
breathing in sunshine
under blue sky I bend down to eye level,
and lie alongside an ocean
of yellowness wealth to feel floral motion
of therapy's finest.

To be momentarily floating atop flittering
waves of essence
is like swimming in Spring-coloured bliss.
I felt this primal urge
This trance-like instinct
To set things right
In case I have to leave
Move on, so to speak

So
I took my jaundiced eye
And rolled it from corner to corner
Of this, my situation
And I felt so very small and hard
Lost in largeness
For cynicism is a tight thing
Which allows little movement
A strange kind of chastity

And then, you see
Changes
Honesty demanded that I see more
Grow, so to speak

And oh, my poor sore eyes
See how the children starve
All over this bitter world
This bitter, sickened world
And cynicism did this
Through the slack hands of millions
Who still refuse to believe
That things can be changed

.....
the wonder of that starry night was paled
by you.....as you stood at the veranda,
waiting........to board the car...
a smile on your face shone shyly
your dark blue sequined dress
glittered with your every move
you were ready for your prom night...
we took pictures of you, from many angles
and from those various points, i saw
how lovely you have grown to be...
your determination to go, despite the odds
..made you a hard stone...
i have seen, i heard you play your guitar...
it almost made me mad, when you let meals wait,
i felt your stress when you prepared for a debate
i have realized...i have recognized
your many talents and capabilities...they are
your facets, like those of a precious gemstone
your whole being emits a kind of luster, i know,
would brighten even more....with time...
in my eyes, that night, you were...and will always be
...a  sparkling diamond.

(Beatrice is my second granddaughter)
Sleepless nights, long nights
Praying and hoping for a donor
A kidney was needed for a young man
To help be feel human and strong again
One phone call was all it took, for an angel to give just one look
In a blink of an eye, all will change
But for the better with the help of Gods grace
An angel has been sent down from heaven above
To shine positive light on someone who needed it most
We call it our Christmas miracle for a loving son
For soon he will have a new kidney and can forever have fun.
If you closed your eyes
just for a second
we would all be the same
we would be equal
tall
short
fat
thin
happy
sad
black
white
None of this would matter
because we would all be the same
but are we really?
are we all just the same?
this is a good question
because I don't know
Now,
just for this second
this second of silence
try to imagine this place
the place of equality
can you see it?
