We went wild
when all the stars came out.
We went wild
when all the flowers burst apart.
We ran across the earth barefoot
and with our electric hearts,
beating to the harmonies of nature.
There isn't anything that I desire
but the satisfaction that freedom offers.
Wrapped up in rays from the sun,
I celebrate myself,
while we sing only of glee.
You cleaned my soul
and showed me how to grow with each spring.
You pushed me through the winters
until the days when all life was reborn.

I care not for what may come
I fear not for who I'll be
But I care for what I'll be
I fear for who will come

underneath the blue ocean,
deep in god's eternal gaze,
inside a woman's emotion,
wandering the evergreen maze,

between a bird's beak and feather,
behind the ancient cellar door,
through seams of velvet and leather,
swimming the seas of salvador,

in the taste of honey sweet,
across the valleys of a face,
on the bottom of a lady's feet,
dancing on the clouds with grace,

beautiful worlds in beautiful words,
my true heart's pleasure,
beautiful worlds in beautiful words,
my true mind's treasure.
using all the words i think sound nice.

I wish that I could have one more night with you lying next to me,
That way, when you trace the path from your heart to mine,
I can memorize the path that your hand took,
I can know where in my body my heart is located,
That way when you deem my heart,
Not good enough,
And my mind is telling my terrible things,
I can still trace my way back to my own heart,
And be reassured that just because you rejected my heart,
Does not mean that I must reject it as well,
Because it still serves a purpose for me.

Let us not be slaves to our fears.
But servants to our hearts.

My body, now, is an old mansion.
Iron gates and heavy oak doors.

Your kiss. Your touch.
Sacred phantoms.
Lingering and supernatural.

Oh, that you would haunt my home once more...

When you see her cry
     you get a rag,
a gentle delicate cloth.
                                        Lovingly grasp her hand
                                               and dab its tip;
dry each tear as they come.
                                                                                          And ask each drop
                                                                                               why it'd leave
                                                                                          such beautiful eyes.

  If she wishes
to be in the sky,
  tell her to go.
                              Take the sun ransom,
                              and replace its shining
                                    with her own.
So you can see her every morning
                                                                                   and wish for her
                                                                                  return each night.

When you see her scars
  both visible and non-
    touch each gently.
                                             And remind her
                                       that each and every hurt
                                            she has survived,
                                                                                        has only made her
                                                                                   that much more unique;
                                                                                       that much stronger.

  Show her that she
  is a special person
and is worthy of love.
                                     That she deserves the love
                                            she fears to give...
                                            show her so that
                                                                                 one day after you're gone
                                                                                  she can find the strength
                                                                                    to go on without you.

    Tell her that while
she might not be a goddess
far above worldly desires,
                                          that she is amazing,
                                         for just being herself
                                    for being that beautiful girl
                                                                               who thinks herself damaged
                                                                                  when in truth she's just
                                                                                a different kind of beautiful.

   And finally, love her.
Like a boy loves a girl
Till she finally remembers
                                            that that's what she is:
not a scar, not a goddess,
not a star. But a girl.
                                                                                    That deserves to be loved.

The years of memories
pile up like cord-wood
stacked randomly,
a Jenga game of blocks
balanced  precariously,
verging on toppling
when a piece near the bottom
is removed too carelessly.

Memories must dwell in the past,
forever in the life of the mind.
They cannot be pulled out,
touched and held,
nor lived over and over again,
except perhaps in dreams.

"I wish you well."

(but not too well without me)
I like 10 word poems because it forces you to summarize your thoughts  to the point where you're really only saying what you mean.
Maybe I should try using that same theory in my own life, haha.

How do I express my gratitude
To the most Holy who has given me life?

Why is this day so set a part from the rest as it is another day He has given us life?
Maybe it shouldn't just be this day to give praise,
But every single day that He has given to us.

Let me live for you, Jesus.
Hear the song of my heart as I proclaim Your great love and faithfulness to the world.
Let me be set apart, different from the rest as I try my best to honor You.
Let me glorify you all my days, and let you be first in my mind and heart.
Cleanse my mind and my heart and make it pure.

Thank you for dying for me, sweet Lord Jesus.
This life is nothing in comparison to the eternity I will one day have with You.
Take this world and give me Jesus.
To my Lord Jesus Christ, who I am madly in love with. To be honest, this really wasn't a poem but instead words of gratitude to my God.
