all shape and silent
she came to me

the mystery of persons
on our lips

we listened to our stories
and songs

and forged new ones
deep in our souls.
when solar winds
cause a freeze
and ships have doldrums
due to breeze

when roses wilt
because of dew
and broken clocks
are always true

when soldiers all
return from war
and vow that they
will fight no more

when the Jokers'
call the bluff
and the greedy
have enough

when redwoods fall
without a sound
and the canyons
regain ground

when all these things
are proven true
then i will stop

LOVING YOU

Hope you had a great New Year's Day...
had to be brighter than mine!
I had the FLU! LOL!

I'm feeling better now, though.
Thanks for all the prayers and
new year's wishes. I appreciate you!
Prove nothing to no one,
But sincerely look upon your inner being,
Then ask where does the balance stand?

The world isn't held by anyone's standards,
But your will to find a personal happiness,
So stand tall and look upon the sky with a smile.

You will see that while living is suffering,
So are the rest of the souls around us.
And you are not alone in this solitude!

Understand perfection is an illusion,
But not to say don't try,
Instead be empowered by knowing nothing is.

Do not compete with others,
But try to over come your own weakness,
And become better than before with your personal lack.

Ultimately understand no one lives forever,
But finding inner piece or peace that can bring you at ease,
And then becoming better person as time progress.

Surely our deeds should be measure by self enlightenment,
Because no one is ever the same to be measured upon,
For a better you will end up making the world better for all!
Once you can relieve of world's standard, you will realize life is in the palm of your hands, then seek it with all your might!

in Ohio state, that place by the lake
I miss those waves and that sandy grate
my dreams are laced with memories made
waiting for a walleye to take my bait

on Edson street, down at the creek
I leaped in just to wet my feet
where steelhead and salmon meet
it's still a dream my memory keeps

Main street beach, out on the pier
we drank in life and drank down beer
we swam to the breakwall without fear
those memories, i still hold dear

I want to run away.
I want to stop thinking.
I want affection,
however ephemeral
and sickeningly circumstantial
from people
who seek the same.
If only for tonight,
they’re my kindred souls,
so I’ll take one,
pretend it’s you,
give up myself to your reflection
and in the morning
curse at my conception,
come to.
You have been given this moment in time,
To learn, to grow, to see, and to define.
Let not one moment fall to waste,
When the doors of gracefulness appear.
Life can be forgotten on the way,
And slowly and silently disappear.
But I bring hope along,
In order to make things clear.
So reach and learn,
Grow and admire.
For so little time is left,
And so much to do that's dire.
