I was sitting enjoying my breakfast this morning.
My uncle, aunt and cousin and my cousin’s husband plus there two kids were there.
A full table, all eating and laughing.
We were enjoying the morning, I was even talking and listening to everyone.
One of my cousin’s kids started crying.
She is 2, she was tired or still hungry who knows really.
One of the people made a comment at the table and said **** is she on her period.
Believe me, I was shocked at this statement.
I didn’t know what to say, so I kept quiet.
I’m not overreacting, I think it was rude to have said that.
First off, she is too young to be having periods, even if she were older it wouldn’t matter.
So, you think if women cry, or are moody you assume were on our period.
Maybe were moody because were tired, or maybe were not having a good day.
Maybe were ******* because of the comments we have to hear about our bodies.
Am I overreacting?
Was it alright for him to say **** is she on her period?

This visitor is the topic of conversation in my life recently,
However it has been for centuries.
When he knocks on your door
You know its time to go
Even if things are left behind, there is no more time.
I see that many fear this visitor
Even praying that it wont come knocking on their door.
But I'm waiting...
I'm waiting.
It's not that I'm expecting this visitor any time soon
Nor do I wish to see him coming to my door step.
No it's more like
If he comes, I am ready.
If my time comes it comes.
So I sit here staring at my feet
While everyone frantically prays and denies his existence
I'm here contemplating what to eat next
While everyone is scared that they might be next.
So, my grandmother is close to death. Everyone is in tears while I'm happy that she will no longer suffer anymore. Is that selfish?

Happiness
Of the nightingales
Beauty
From the flowers
They use fractals for the mountains
And then again for the trees

I think they might use calculus
For the waves upon the seas

Fibonacci works for sea shells
I heard also for the ear

Fibonacci knows the perfect rose
I submit to you my dear

Although not common in nature
If at all it's only a blip

But still incredibly fun for me and my son
When we made our Möbius strip

The most confusing math in nature
Used describing me and you

I learned in school, I know it's true
That one plus one, is two

But you and I together
It feels like we are one

And when you are away from me
The math it equals none
A mathematician's love poem? You don't see that everyday!

Fog
Nightfall
Under the rain
Dance roots
A high tide
Of fog

Just Melz
This path we all walk alone through our minds
Has the most comforting of hiding spots
Like the trees in nature all around us
We grow our thoughts
We branch out and reach for the horizon
We build up walls
To provide the shade and oxygen we need
To breathe
To have the silence we can only find within ourselves
To continue on this journey with a clear mind
We create ideas within this path
We travel on and bring as much beauty to the world as we can
And yet,
Sometimes the only comfortable solace we have
Is alone,
Just walking down this path
