I* remember the feeling of waking up for nothing
The empty, gray taste everything had
        How I'd stare off
Out windows
Or across streets

I remember walking to the river
And the grass not bending beneath my feet
The current wouldn't change nor stop for me
And I imagined it would always be this.
Having everything I had always wanted right in front of me and it not matter

I remember being stuck in the rain and not getting wet

         Watching
Quietly accepting what was, and simultaneously not acknowledging what it meant.

It was comfortable, but now *I
want control.
I've built this wall around myself
To shield my heart from the pain
Like the caterpillar, I hide
Until I'm finally free to find
A love to fly with me in the rain
If you don’t smile then we won’t glow,
The moment that makes you frown, I don’t want to know,
Out of my life, I don’t want you to go,
Your heart is so warm; I don’t want to go cold,
Forever in my life, I take pride in this Love…

I never want to wake up and realise that you’ve pulled away,
I’d search the world for reasons that led us astray,
For answers as to how we evaded Love and chose pain,
Without you I’d be overshadowed by gloom all over again,
Love is YOU and ME and there’s no other way…

You have me standing in front of the world
Proclaiming, declaring, that you’re my one and only girl,
You’ve shown me how true love works,
Never in my life have I felt so secure
Among all that I’ve sought, it is with you that I am worthy!
#love in its fullness
Virtuous woman, queen of my heart,
The love you give is no ordinary art,
You are the epitome of all my heart would want,
It is my prayer that we never part…

I’m forever convinced that there’s none like you,
Forever inclined to erase your hurt,
If only you knew how much you’re worth,
In my heart you’re a blessed soul…

I’m overwhelmed by your eagerness to please,
Amazed by the strength of your smile to tease,
It makes me surrender with great ease,
Your desires I forever aim to please…

No matter what the world may say,
In my heart is where you will always stay,
A love like no other is what we portray,
A devotion deeper than I can explain…
How to tell?

I've always loved that deep, deep red,
Soft as velvet, Smooth as fire.
It's imagery stark, whether in;
Winter whites,
Dark greys, or,
The Hustle'n'Bustle of colour's Chrome ire,
With all the things it represents,
Fame, fortune, Dripping from your nose,
Slashed on your skin, love
And Romance, written on your tongue,
Warmer; than all Hell's scorching pits,

And now staring at the sink,
I feel it, so much more,
Than everything.
A clear gauze blur,
On crunched China bone,
And rubbery plastic cartilage,
Like heels into snow,
I sink into the Crimson Ink
And stare into the sink
But how to tell?
Which Crimson is which?
Is all that I can think*.

Is it Love, Lust, Hell, Pain,
Blood, Fire, Fortune and fame,
Romance and Roses,
In all that I think,
As I see more
- and deeper yet sink-
Into how
Life writes it lines
.Deep.
In Crimson Ink.
Saying hello, again
Because to say goodbye
I'd have to trust that I would not
Say hello again.

And my silence comes in colors
Like drip-dry paint on the walls of my mouth
Tastes like green and yellow today
Fresh flowers that arrived late
And the yard working all shades.

I hate to stop
Picking back up where I left off is easier said
Than remembered,
No matter how many scribbled expo marker notes are left
on the dry erase boards of my closed eyelids,

Hello,
Again.
Care to dance this dance with me?
I saw her there, standing in the shade
of a thicket; birch trees in the failing
Autumn. The long grass caressed her;
the wind stirred her hair. Lovely she, in
the failing Autumn, there, on the cusp of
winter. Lightning; storm on the horizon.
Green eyes lifted to catch the rain, falling,
there in the nearing distance. She breathes
in, out, her eyes fall closed as she tastes the
air; rain and soil, sunbaked in the past heat of
the noontime. Grass, wafting upwards. The
trees stir; the shadows of the leaves flit across
her form, face uplifted to the rising storm. Her
raiment snaps, back and forth; the winds uprising,
howling forerunner of the coming storm. Her hair
streams back, a midnight pennant, running out all
behind her. The roaring of the winds upsurges in its
splendor, its howling crescendo reached at last; The trees
bend, backwards in the gale, graceful in their dying,
leaves torn and scattered, out among the plains, and
across the rippling grasses, soaring in the ecstasy of
the winds. She stands, there, in the moment before the
storm, straight she is, and tall, swaying as the trees wherein
she stands, pale in the twilight. The wind howls in wanton
abandon, wild and glorious; rain strikes the waiting earth,
the grass bends in homage, down before the fury of the torrent
descending.
The lightning cracks in the darkling sky,
the thunder roars in violent time; the storm falls
in the failing Autumn; darkness comes
in the clouds obscurity, ebon in the raging heavens,
and all was lost there, save the wind, and the rain,
and the darkness of the storm.
Daydreams in a storm.
