Wanting to drown in your love
And float in your dreams
Wanting to die in your arms
And live in your thoughts
Wanting to get lost in your eyes
And be found in your heart
Wanting to be helpless to your touch
And thrive in your grasp
Star-crossed dreamers,
Bound together by thread,
Cosmic peaceful bliss-
But lover, that planet is dead.

The wind carries no laughter,
The sun has lost its heat,
Nighttime is silent and dark now,
Its life cycle complete.

The trees have all now rotted,
The soil has long turned sour,
It’s been months since April’s showers,
And May could never flower.

Lover, I must escape now,
The oxygen is gone,
I know you said you’d never be back,
But I was hoping you were wrong.

I planned to stay here,
To fix it in your absence,
So if you did return,
You’d see we could make sense.

Your rocket never flew back,
And lover, I know not where you went,
Trembling in my escape pod,
Hoping where you are, I’m sent.

I sealed this final message,
In orbiting satellite streams,
Hoping the words find you,
Beyond our broken dreams.

I know this was our ending,
And it echos through the void,
Now our world has perished,
Our civilization destroyed.

I can’t look out this window,
To watch our star implode,
But I feel it in my chest,
That sharp sting of letting go.

And while I drift away,
To somewhere perceived safe,
To long forget our planet,
And the evolution we made.
Just another point of interest blacked out on my astronomers map.
my brain doesn’t understand
that we have no right to exist.
and still, it conjures her —
lips burning from the kiss
where I forget
where I end
and she begins.
this one is about dreaming of the girl i couldn't keep.

I say the words
That may or may not help me
I say the names
That may or may not be heard.
I cry the daily tears
That may or may not heal me
And gather up the strength
To face another day of pain
Without a bird outside my window.

Still struggling with several issues
You loved me from the bottom of your heart,
And yet we were always apart.
I am a key, broken,
with no lock that fits me.

I lay at night with no one to hold.
I am missing that one touch.
Am I just too much—
too much, too little, too broken?

I am a broken key,
with no lock that fits me.

I lay at night, all alone.
I have so much love in my life,
but I miss that one vital part—
that element, that touch.

I feel so broken, so lost.
Am I so unlovable
that no one wants me?
Many loves,
but I am not
anyone’s special one.

I am a broken key,
with no lock that fits me.
