You don't need to be superhuman
To save someone
You, my ordinary human being,
Have saved me
From the fear of falling
By telling me I could fly all along.
*coughs in Übermensch*

^-^

You can fly, my love
If
the mornings rose no sun
blackness are the days
the moon pulling double duty
everything lies in shade
If
the robin hadn’t wings
he sings but not flies
and walks on tippy toes
rasping songs down low
If
the whales swallow the oceans
the ocean now a desert
of dry shells and bone
If
you go
I’ll not have the sun
covered in shade
I’ll hang down low
and roam a desert grave
*** or tat
   **** or shat
   this or that

   live or die
   truth or lie
   laugh or cry

   mix or match
   lose or catch
   fix or patch

   early or late
   choice or fate
   love or hate
petals close when you are near

stars shudder at your finger tips

the moon shakes in it’s silver skin

and I -

blossom,

despite myself and my heart’s warnings

against your cruel caresses

I sigh, into your curves

and bury my head in the sands of oblivion

If there comes a time
that you might lose me
Find me in my poetry
I can talk to you.
I’m just not ready to see you face to face.
It will bring back memories.
When breath becomes prayer
God becomes breath.
I am a firefly
left out in the day
with no one to see
but how bright in the dark
when I am all luminosity
