Fall in love with her beetroot blush,
The way she tucks her hair behind her ear,
Her dimpled smirk...

Fall in love with her freckles,
The way she leans in to listen to what you're saying,
Her scars...

Fall in love with her story,
The way she stares at her hand when she speaks,
Her secrets...

Fall in love with her trust,
The way she loves another man,
Her faith...

Fall in love with her:
                      Gently,
                                Purely,
                                         Emphatically.

Fall in love with her,
Like He would.
A post-exam poem
Z is useless
Like an appendix
It's not like English'd collapse
if you threw Z to the dogs
(you couldn't call it a sacrifice):
we'd still communicate
we'd still fornicate

it's like if your doctor cut
your appendix and threw it out
you'd still eat and ****

so, useless Z -
like many parts in the human enterprise
like your religion, your ideology, your prejudices:
it's there,
in the human system
but each a Z;
part of a strange assembly

Firstly, you might need to learn how to read, in signs
looking at those grey black and white lines
     as thoughts become craftily inscribed
or where white spaces define.
Challenge inside yourself.
  What do you know?
  Put pen to paper.
  Feel the flow
 Hooked?
Totally?
Write!
GO!
This is just a reminder for me ;)

Our secret meeting place,
words,
unnerve us
face to face
.
After reading the clues in the poems of others, it struck me that this must happen quite alot!
Love is when a heart
Offers a place to stay and a
Visitor becomes an
E**ternity

I know we've just met,
so don't take this too seriously,
but there's something I must confess:
Sometimes when I see you,
my heart does a flip,
and my muscles squeeze tight,
giving my stomach a hard hug
and taking my breath for a moment
Other times, I try my hardest to pry
my eyes away from you
they, of course, fight back,
they want to soak up the very sight of you,
so we compromise on sneaking glances,
when I think you're not looking
Still other times, I see you laughing,
flashing your smile at a friend's joke,
and I glimpse those bright white teeth
That perfect smile makes me want to smile, too,
just so we can have that one thing in common,
you and I smiling at the world
And that is why, whenever I'm around you,
I'm always sitting quietly
(because I'm trying to catch my breath),
I'm always looking away
(because I'm afraid you'll catch me staring),
and I'm always smiling like a fool
(because I think I might be falling in love with you)
If the world was torn asunder
And rebuilt from spare parts
My dying wish would be to
Occupy your heart

As the sun bursts into space
And earth is turned to ash
When only love prevails
And heavens begin to crash

If ever there is no light
And all becomes too dark
You always have my word to
Occupy my heart
Cute little poem, not sure if I want to add more to it so I wouldn't call it done.
Laying here alone
upon a bed
of unread poetry...

inkstained fingers
smudge my eyes
and
taint my lips.

I scream in exclamation marks!

If only one line
one word
could describe my need
of you
would I even know it...

want...no

desire...not even close

Forever...forever tastes right upon my tongue

if only
if only

If only that one word could be ours

would I write no more.
For someone special to let them know three words are two too many
A cold wind blows into my soul
like a ghost dances
to the beat of a heart that's been broken
by the promise of words.
Until, there is no more time left to ache
for what has not fallen
from the air you breathe
to be seen or heard.

Your silence speaks inside of me,
calling out to be tears
selfishly chaining this cold wind
inside of my soul,
to remain.
All that I love has been painted
by the promise.................
of your words,
and the sweetest sound I know
is your voice
caressing my name.
