I cupped my hands
To drink from my River of Dreams
The water was sweet,
It stained my tongue
And cleansed my tear-stained cheeks
My dreams took flight
At the first swallow -
That is when I first saw you.
Unsure and hesitant, I was -
Until I tasted your kiss
The River I drank from so long ago
So here I sit,
Intoxicated
For you are my sweetest dreams,
Come true.
My heart
is a deep dark ditch,
which
can only be filled
with the limitless luminous earth
of your love.
You torture me I crave you
Rage dislodges inside of me
All because of you
You told me nobody would love me
You told me that  once before
When you blacked my eyes and throw me to the floor
My sky blue eyes look striking when you blacked them so
When you bruise my being and tried to ransom my soul
Shameful  have you no remorse
My full sensual lips  are torn
The blood is  beautiful  as we kiss
I can’t give you anymore
What my eyes cant see is my demise
I want to bury the memory of you
Seize my own essence
Untie the knots of this ****** up love affair
Landing with a crash as I pick up the pieces of my  oblivion
Everything has a cost in the end
When did we get here?
Did I  wear you down to the center of it all
I wanted  to love you
Now I need a place for bleeding
With nothing to hide
The flowers are wilting
Yet they will not die
When lightning strikes the coolest clear
you can see me standing
in my own skin,
not playing with the sky
to get a different song or dance.
Still, Darkness places his fingers inside me,
encourages me to write,
to respond as if my name is without
life's second chance.

I think of asking why
my eyes relentlessly search
for lost time
through a window
I should have forgotten
before my eyes
even took it in.
Instead, I leave the view
to face itself
swim into the ocean
I call Serenity,
softly sing my song of peace
once again.

Nathaniel
this night of the yellow moon
sings a slow and somber tune
the story of my ancestor's soul
is shared around the watering hole
naked whispers in lover's ears
serve to calm my sorrow's tears
a laugh echos from across the room
and smiles burst like flowers bloom
a pretty girl with an angel face
passes out dreams with a sour taste
we all know her by a different name
yet she answers us all the very same
hey would you like another pretty word
to compliment that come on line you heard
and a hey, hi, **, how are you?
is as common as a pair of tattered shoes
tap tap tap on the red stained floor
and a drunk brother asks for a little more
another drink to satisfy my tongue
another song noone knows who sung
yet every time we all know the words
in unison we sing like cattle in herds
and the church bells ring another time
to call us in to confess our crime
but we'll frequent again tomorrow night
for a chance to look through beauty's sight
another pleasant dream on this plain
saves you another night from this pain

First it’s, “I don’t have time”, and then it's, “can I talk to you for a minute?”.
But if I say yes, will you tell me your regrets?
Will you switch the song tune, can I sing along with you?
How about we harmonize your precious lies, that intricately constructed my hearts demise?
Let’s add up all the seconds that you didn’t have, put them in an hourglass and go back the past.
The past you told me to leave alone, because it’s dark outside, and you want to come home.
It wasn’t me, it was you.
It wasn’t you it was us, so I let go and now you’re looking for my trust?
So now I’m supposed to look past your flaws and into your eyes?
Isn’t it funny how time flies?
Don’t tell me about myself, or who you think I’ve become.
I’m not mad, I’m not spiteful, the only thing I am, is done.
