5:09 in the morning
I slap the alarm a second time
Guess I best be going
If I plan to catch the 6:09

That's all I seem to do these days
Is travel the salesman's life
But what else can one man do
With three kids and a wife

I hate the life I'm living
Of never being home
I know they love and cherish me
But I still feel so all alone

With the T.V. as my only companion
In this dreary hotel room
Each time I leave a part of me
Knowing I'll be back real soon

The life of a traveling salesman
Is nothing if it's not hard
Most days they barely look at me
As they hold their hand out for my card

I still must brave the days ahead
For the little ones and wife back home
To give to them a better life
Than the one in which I roam

5:09 in the morning
I slap the alarm a second time
Guess I best be going
If I plan to catch the 6:09

It's hard to write a poem

Without a tormented soul

When what a poet needs

Is something going wrong

It's every artists right

To find the misery in life

From the young to the old

Embrace the darkened side

Give a poet what they need

They'll cry for you a tragedy

That will strip away all of your beliefs

To the marrow bone

Traveler
You are not who I want you to be
Yet I can't seem to get myself free
How can I shape the fabric of mind
Why do I continue to waste my time
????????????????????????????????

I watch life unfold like watching a movie
Frozen in morals that were never mine
Afraid to rebel I suffocate slowly
Who is to blame for my faulty design...
???????????????????????????????

In the lowland fens at the worlds end,
Like the ferryman, a blue heron waits,
Eyes of dragon fly, hover, over still water,
His legs are the oars rowing to the dead.
The trouble with glass
Is that there is none.
Though crack'd, distempered,
From either side, you see through it,
Indisputable, the other side.

The trouble with love
Is that, even though like glass,
You see it clear and through it
Into your lover's eyes, yet,
Love by definition, cloudy, starry,
blinds.

sweet-dreamin'
a whole life
the world's a stuffy place
keepin'
lv...away

Down the street you can hear her scream, you're a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?

Against the door, he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually

A little Indian brave who before he was ten,
Played war games in the woods with his Indian friends
And he built up a dream that when he grew up
He would be a fearless warrior Indian Chief
Many moons past and more the dream grew strong until
Tomorrow he would sing his first war song and fight his first battle
But something went wrong, surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night

And so castles made of sand melt into the sea, eventually

There was a young girl, whose heart was a frown
cause she was crippled for life,
And she couldn't speak a sound
And she wished and prayed she could stop living,
So she decided to die
She drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
And to her legs she smiled, you won't hurt me no more
But then a sight she'd never seen made, her jump and say
Look, a golden winged ship is passing my way

And it really didn't have to stop, it just kept on going...

And so castles made of sand slips into the sea, eventually*

smasher-lyrics...cool song!

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American musician, singer and songwriter. Despite a limited mainstream exposure of four years, he is widely considered one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century.
In 1961, Hendrix enlisted in the US Army; he was granted an honourable discharge the following year. In 1963, he moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, where he played numerous gigs on the chitlin' circuit.

In 1967, Hendrix earned three UK top ten hits with the Jimi Hendrix Experience: "Hey Joe", "Purple Haze", and "The Wind Cries Mary". Later that year, he achieved fame in the US after his performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. The world's highest paid performer, he headlined the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 before dying from barbiturate-related asphyxia at the age of 27.
Inspired musically by American rock and roll and electric blues, Hendrix favoured overdriven amplifiers with high volume and gain, and was instrumental in developing the previously undesirable technique of guitar amplifier feedback. He helped to popularize the use of a wah-wah pedal in mainstream rock, and pioneered experimentation with stereophonic phasing effects in music recordings.

sumtime-entry: gonna come cryin'

playin' you my mean ole axe
gonna be whippin' up a crackin' storm
come on, you sweet thang

hackin' them steamin' strings with me teeth
and rakin' these nails 'cross your back...ooh

and layin' your body over me

yeh..mind your hidin' away

(hey, fry me up some brinjals...while I make some coffee)

oh, I gonna be wipin' them tears away
and you're gonna come flyin' my way

'cos I'm-a madly in love with you!

Grab the tools
Load the truck
Don't forget lunch
Off to work we go
Bending still
Building castles
Milking the livestock
Proud men doing MAN's work

Grab the bag and Tablet
Load the Scion Xb
Don't forget lunch
Off to work I go
Bending minds
Building futures
Milking young minds
Proud man doing human's work

Tomorrow
 Aug 2013 Jaymi Swift
eh
I'm sitting here, all alone
In this solitude I can't fathom
I don't know why, I feel this way
But all I know is dismay

The broken smiles and endless screams
I simply can't let them see
The emptiness inside of me
Because I'm not who they want me to be

Fake smiles and dumb stuff
Life is such a mind craft
I can't fathom the ambiguity
But I hope that one day
I'll be happy

I don't why I feel this way
But anyway
Tomorrow is just a day away
I gaze into the lapis lazuli embedded behind your eyes

And I read the words that are engraved on its pristine surface

“I hide in the dust of diamonds and bathe in Luna’s glow”

Inscriptions of a fiery passion from the heart of Aphrodite

What deities were praised to conjure such an immaculate apparition?

A vesper turned mortal by the north wind

Gilded in the feathers of seraphs-on-high

And garbed in the fineries of the seventh son of a seventh son
