Two strangers brought together
Like the unrelenting pull of the moon on the ever moving tide,
Like the revolving planets circling the gigantic sun,
Like the intense pull of gravity on the miniscule drops of silvery rain.

As they wander though the glorious world,
They feel a mysterious magnetic pull drawing them together
And they know they'll never be alone.

They continue their journey through vast valleys and over tall mountains,
Through strong winds and deep waters.

As one slips, the other draws them up,
As one slows, the other offers them aide,
As one falls, the other carries.

What would they be
if the gleaming stars had never aligned,
if their paths hadn't crossed,
if an unknown force hadn't brought them together?

But they look to the stars,
Which are in perfect formation,
And they journey on
Using the constellations as a guide,
To a home where they can dwell for eternity.

They don't long to be found, don't wish to be heard, don't ask for attention

They hope to spark a thought, evoke a joyful emotion, leave an imprint on a wondering mind

Which can forever be locked in a memory jar, entitled

*"For Keeps"
"You touched my fingertips.
I felt it. My heart skipped a beat.
Taking hold of my hand. It stopped.
The high school child in me embraced
the playtime once again.
Sitting on a park bench thinking of our bleachers
at the Friday night football games.
Now we cheer for the pigeons as they fight
for the bread crumbs.
It's all so beautiful, only different times.
We are here still together, that's all that really
matters.
Beautiful to reminisce, grateful that
we can.
To kiss each others lips, and start our hearts
pumping once again."

ancient moonlight

crickets make
a creaking noise

within the
island garden
small and jewel-like
in the grove

amidst
kimono and the obi
there's a peace
the Nippon know

muted colors
placid faces
the paper lanterns
sway and glow

the lords and ladies
sit for hours
where
the
lotus
flowers
grow

Speaking of broken hearts
and mended fenced in mem'ries
I am painting skies
of tangerine, saffron
& an illuminated lilac hue
against the starkly contrasted crisp cornflower blue, stretching canvas that is
along with all the
other blindingly beautiful colors of a twilight sky

And those dripping cotton candy stratospheric clouds
Ice crystals freezing into supercooled
water droplets
Streaking the sky in cirrus whispers
..I hear them whisper, "hello"...

Blinding beauty
through unadulterated sunlight
I am fleeced like a lamb
watching in awe,
..in wonder
then stomping sounds
of coming thunder,

Finding depth and height
out  in the stratosphere
Blinded by the
After Light
or afterglow
affected by the amount of haze
I'm in a daze
...as I am reaching

High above the fading light
of a brilliant early fall sunset
I take a big breath
of that sumptuous air
and twirl my skirted legs
my painted toes
where I know
I am back
to solid ground

Appreciating the last time
I say sleep well
to you  my dear
summertimes sweet mem'ries
and the fun we had this year.

Wow....idk. Felt inspired.
~
we are breathing the same air
we are looking at the same skies
we are living in the same world*

but why are our hearts are not beating in the same rhythm?
