Sailing feathered clouds across the blue sky
Haloed sundogs clinging to white mares’ tails
Storied concentric glories way up high
I’ll leave a soft rainbow colored contrail

Sailing feathered clouds across the blue sky
Flying towards the sun’s healing golden crown
Come and sing when you see me sailing by
Let go the darkness and let light resound

Sailing feathered clouds across the blue sky
Shards of memories and rose colored ice
My love my love my love let go the sigh
Please remember me to the by and by

You can* falsely call an apple a grape,

can say the inside is silver and that it’s poisonous,

can assume that the apple is bitter,

           can paint the apple blue,

can believe that the apple could make you fly

You can talk about it all you like...

It doesn't change the true nature of the apple now, does it?

I

there is no greater, more
constant exchange between
ourselves and the world
than our breathing

no sooner have we
sown the skyey seeds
in our lungs
than reaped their fruit—
discarded their chaff

breathing is an agriculture

II

but to what lofty tides
we subscribe!
the sky remains infinite—
too proud for form

III

we have outgrown the ocean
outgrown the earth—
perhaps we will outgrow respiration
and become like the elements
the dead seas
the unmovable mountains

breathe consciously for a moment

breathe as slowly as you can

you are a petrified forest
you are the ocean floor
you are Fuji

IV

but with my deepest breath
I cannot swallow the sky whole
I cannot crack the edifice
or bend the arm of a single tree

I am but the fleeting scent
of a spice wafted
and splayed
on the endless
wind

They say that every road leads somewhere
And
To just keep going.
But I want nothing more than to lie down on the pale asphalt
And stare at the stars
Forever,
Because I can’t possibly believe that any moment,
Any other moment,
Big or small,
Could be any better
Than this.

And when I die I can only hope
that I have chocolate milk in the fridge
and a bulky wikipedia page.
There's paint under my nails
And no matter how hot the water is
I can't wash you off
I watch the raindrops slide down your leather jacket
And smear your make up
Because it's jealous
That you're still radiant
Even now I'm not sure why I want you
All I know is that it's raining
And you're soft
And my mask is slipping

Twists and turns
Describe the spaces and races
Body processes, yearns
To learn how you tie your laces
Stars group in a constellation
Pointing the way
And through the devastation
I see them like wounds, say
Did I ever tell you
I love the blue
In your eyes.

KILLME
This canvas
was better bare

paint already covers it
so who really cares

only get worried
when it starts to tear
