you know sweetie, I'd love to forgive you
I'd love to believe that
your intentions were the best
however I can't seem
to get this particular dream
out of my head
see, what I dream is
you saying "sorry, you were right"
"I didn't mean any of it"
"not even that one night"
I want to be validated
in my grief, I suppose
I want a reason behind
why this hurts so bad
after so long
because frankly you don't deserve this from me
you don't deserve anything from me
you made promises that you didn't even try to keep
you spat lies into my face
and apologized for things
that you planned on doing
the very next day
so don't you dare tell me
you're "sorry"

now I don't want an apology
instead I want nothing but guilt
and shame
for you
because just for once in your life
I want you to take responsibility
for the mistakes you made
and the choices you made
and the times that you actively decided
to douse my wounds with salt
I want you to feel the burning
that's been in my blood for the past ten months
if I have to burn,
well, baby,
you're gonna burn too

It's not who you are or who you know,

What you wear or where you go.

It's not your friends or family,

Its words on a page,

In this community.

The words we use can settle scores

or open doors.

So hear a heartfelt plea from me,

Let's stop the wars and do poetry.

If I were super
I'd be no hero
I'd be the spirit of vengeance
For those too weak
To stand for themselves
The victims of the world
I'd spend every waking moment
Hunting down those
Who seek to destroy
Lives,
The rapists,  and killers,
Abusers, and bullies,
The corrupt,  and thieves
In all corners, in every tiny village
Every grand government building
All would pay
None would stay.
I'd be no hero
For I'd spare no mercy
I wouldn't make the world blind
Its been sightless
Since man learned to lie
If only I were super,
so I could not be a hero.
I think

that sometimes

It is better to be lost

than to know where you are

and maybe even

who you are

I fizz a little, drift
A little in this
Mist.
Every love's coincidental
If it's ending with a kiss.
I don't really miss
The burning and the bleeding of my
Wrist.
But my fist holds much bliss.
I am swift and too brisk.
I am...
Holding many myths
And I spit 'em from lips that
Stutter too quick.
Yet, mumble when ****** and
They only take trips when
Challenged by risk.
So, I fumble with trouble.
Guess I like it like this.
Flow lifts like vapor.

there is a man who has my heart
with eyes the most darling shade of blue
he turned my heart from black and white
and filled it with every hue

days we sat upon the porch
drinking our wine and tea
and all i could think to myself was
how lucky i was with he

the days and weeks passed
spring and summer went
but fall passed with gloom and anger
by winter you were spent

i held your hand as you wept to me
the feelings of your despair
and your gaze had slipped from my eyes
your fingers from my hair

it has been a long time but i am still here
sipping my wine and tea
and all i can think to myself was
how lucky i was with he
Do you ever wish you could just get up and go.

Get in the car
No looking back
escape the reality
of which so many become engulfed in.

Throw caution to the wind
and d r i v e

Away from all of the cookie cutter lives
of the people made of paper

Who just don't *understand

When life blows you over, get up again. When the waves of turmoil wash over you find yourself a towel and dry off for another swim. When angry clouds come overhead, simply look for a ray of sunlight. When all things are against you simply be still in the storm until you find your center, then press on.
