See how dim the light in my eyes?
Shutter,
glance,
and then I'm gone.

I can taste the groan
(warrant a sigh)
Boy, lick your lips
Your soul bleeds dry.

Do you remember the times of old?
When the
wonder of the winter wind
didn't only
bring the cold?

When did you forget
the color of the sun?
**Is it so hard to recall?

Your body is your home.
You wouldn't tell someone their home is too big or too small,
The ceilings too short or too tall
The wallpaper, skin, too old, wrinkled, crumpled and peeling or not the right tone.
The frame and foundation of bones connecting,
Some with clean cut marble perfection, some with broken bits and Floorboard splits.
But you wouldn't tell someone their home is too old or too new.
The value of the pipes, veins, visible in clenched fists.  The arch of an eyebrow or the shape of the roof, a scar or tattoo.
You take care of your home because your life is here.
Inescapable, a cage within your ribcage.
You hope and pray that if you take care of it then it will take care of you, Shelter you.
You wouldn't burn your own home.  Cut, scrape or bruise the stars locked On one side of your eyelids, your windows.  Who knows which side?
Your body is your home.  It is the only place you will ever truly be able to call home, the only thing that you will ever truly own.

Can you hear the waves?
Crashing through the caves,
Every inch, every glimpse,
There's a jinks.

Can you feel the air?
Touching your svelte hair,
Maybe it touched your heart,
Like you're a subtle art.

As they say; seasons change,
It will quickly rearrange,
No more waves for you to hear,
The change you always fear.

As you roam your eyes,
You'll remember that time flies,
You wasted the moment,
You never noticed even one movement.

Wait for a falling star,
Wish rather than putting it in a jar,
You will start to appreciate everything,
**When everything becomes nothing,
We regret the chance we didn't take in the end of everything we once had

Tell me when it has been enough,
Let me know when these bodies have run dry
When the sidewalks have been painted good and red,
You can’t brush off the blood, It just fades a little bit,
A patch just slightly darker than the rest,
They’ll take the other streets, blind to the madness,
Forget about the graveyards they’ve made of neighborhoods,
When targets have names and the lead expires too **** soon,
Tell me when it has been enough
Let me know when your heart has been pierced too
Than maybe you can understand
Stupid

Yes, Doctor
First it hurt horribly
Unbearably

Then,
It swelled up
So I wrapped it tight
Till the swelling went down

Next,
The swelling was gone,
But it started to bruise
It turned bright colors; purple and red
So I iced it numb
Till I felt no more

Now,
The bruises aren't so bright
But the numbness went away
And back came the excruciating pain
So I took some medicine
To make things seem better

But Doctor,
Here's the thing:
I don't think it will get better

So Doctor,
Can you fix my soul?
No. He can't fix it. I'm officially broken
