Drunk as drunk on turpentine
From your open kisses,
Your wet body wedged
Between my wet body and the strake
Of our boat that is made of flowers,
Feasted, we guide it - our fingers
Like tallows adorned with yellow metal -
Over the sky's hot rim,
The day's last breath in our sails.

Pinned by the sun between solstice
And equinox, drowsy and tangled together
We drifted for months and woke
With the bitter taste of land on our lips,
Eyelids all sticky, and we longed for lime
And the sound of a rope
Lowering a bucket down its well. Then,
We came by night to the Fortunate Isles,
And lay like fish
Under the net of our kisses.
I got an aching in my bones
I need you
I got an aching in my bones
I want to feel you
The feeling is so strong
Hitting me with your cyclones
I brace myself for their power
But they continue by the hour
I got an aching in my bones
I long for you
I got an aching in my bones
I want you
I’ll throw the sticks
You throw the stones
Let’s break these aching bones
Spirits are one, above the gravestones
She smiles while she sleeps and it makes me happy for a second knowing someone can find the sun in the dark side of time
In this endless division of multiplied layers to keep out opinion wind join the work force be a team player head held high as you bury your spirit in the ground
Sacrifice yourself  to stay with the breathing the couch ridden children of no parent praise mystified by misuse
Ever day is a reminder that another has passed
The turnstile  smiles are abandoned ghost guests  try again tomorrow I guess
Fight with words written to corrall the pain I look over and notice where my sweet love is laying and the sun begins to shine in the middle of my night I don't mind saying its all gonna be alright
we met like two birds landing on a wire
and chattered with our chirping sounds that sing
at distance where no flights could we conspire

though thoughts of love nests set our ******* on fire
like humans holding tight to form a ring
we met like two birds landing on a wire

that laid upon the face of earth's attire
so far that only light-boxes could bring
at distance where no flights could we conspire

yet caught by love like wings snagged in a brier
two lovebirds sought to ease loneliness's sting
we met like two birds landing on a wire

and dreamed since then of hatchlings we could sire
with eggshells cracking at the scent of Spring
at distance where no flights could we conspire

above the clouds now dreams have floated higher
and soaring past the heavens there do sing
we met like two birds landing on a wire
at distance where no flights could we conspire

Out of all the words
we said (& never believed)
"You are beautiful"
remain the only three words
for love inside of me.

She spilled lengthy prose,
      believing words would
bandage her inadequacies.

Enrapt,
   I tussled
loose threads
     of her rhetoric
in a feeble attempt at intimacy–

not realizing
   Andromeda would love anyone
who had pried her free from the rock.
Wet gusts burn my flesh
Tasting brine, I tack the deep
Heeling through the gale
