 Apr 2017 Idiosyncrasy
stank man
of all the people
that cross my mind
when it came to you
my brain was blind

i write of pain
of hate and regret
but how about about
the first time we met

rain down windows
mascara down face
but next to you
i think I found my place

clouds didn't pass
the rain wouldn't leave
but the thought of you
i could do anything but grieve

and so i haven't wrote
about you yet
and of all the times
i hope never to forget

A
The teardrops run down
And fall off her nose.
She cries in hidden places,
Where nobody goes.

You can follow the tracks,
From her eyes to her chin.
Years upon years,
Of letting "it" win.

And her eyes tell a story
Of anger and pain.
You believe that she's happy,
But you should look again.

The scars of her past,
Hidden under her clothes,
Are a roadmap to places,
That nobody knows.

Her smile is now painted,
She's a master of disguise.
But you can see it all,
If you just look in her eyes.
Shorter poem, again thank you for reading.  I appreciate all the support from you guys, xoxo ~ Avery

They say the home is where the heart is,
But all that's left in my chest
Is an ugly mess, a vacant nest.
Another day, another stress.
Feeling like the prize isn't worth the
*Contest.
Quick something.
I wanted to keep it going.
But didn't want it to feel forced.
Last line had me sold.
